Central Park — Hotel in Haines City

I had to cancel my reservation at CENTRAL PARK RV HAINES CITY FLORIDA…weeks before i was to arrive as husband had a MAJOR medical issue happen and wasn’t able to travel. The bank card i used at the time was valid ..after the cancellation our bank merged with another bank issuing us a different card different number so central park..yvonne..tito..and jose said they had to approve my refund with sun communities ..corporate office. As yvonne said when she ran my card on their file ..the one no longer valid would not go thru to refund!? I was told corporate may send a paper refund to me and supposedly she filled out the form for that and sent it to corporate. Well it’s been a good 2 months and no refund i have received after Yvonne told me it was approved to return a paper check to me by mail. Every time I inquire about it I get the same answer…give it to end of week and it’s been WEEKS! Now I’m being told the form Yvonne supposedly filled out for my approved refund has to start over again! Our family had a family reunion and some of the family reserved a campsite AND cabins to stay at Central Park. Most were not satisfied with this park. A handicapped cabin only had a outside ramp..no handicap anything inside..no bed linens for extra bed…tv and internet was not working …wasp next under porch chairs which 2 family members were stung by them and no one in park to help until Monday which the time spent there was over before the Monday. It’s been weeks on end I have tried getting hold of corporate but Central Park rv says they don’t have a phone number for them. I emailed Sun community twice and left a message on a resident line I was told I possibly could do and Yvonne calls me back to only say the same I’ve been told for several weeks..that nothing can be done except another form to send me possibly another new refund since I never got the one I was told I would. Oh and now after ALL These weeks has passed she mentioned it could be the post office fault. (Mail) my family are upset with the park and the word of returning my approved refund I still have NOT received and the things my handicapped nephew cabin wasn’t equipped with as said also being stung by the hornets. Amongst other disappointing things…they will never use this park again. Once was enough with what has happened! Never again. I take peoples word for things that I feel they are honest but this shows a total different direction for me from this park. And my family who reserved a spot there too. My sisters card was used for her reservation at the time we reserved for her handicapped child and her and husband …she got a new card by her bank…different number then what she used to place reservation and they refunded her a day later…so what’s the problem. I would reconsider any reservations placed with this park with the issues we have/had to deal with. It’s been a few months with same story from them after I believed them when told my refund is on the way. And I’m still waiting and now saying they have to start it all over! Booked a month here from middle of Jan - Feb. I totally agree with Olivia's review. We actually left a week early and sucked up the loss because we didn't feel safe here either. Was not even asked why we were checking out early. We really wanted to leave after day 1! Booked months ahead of time and chose an outside lot...When we first got there they tried to put us in a different spot with a huge tree in that we could barely fit it and we didnt even want to try. We wouldn't have been able to put our awning out. Even if we tried the permanent neighbors park their truck and golf cart there. Yvonne was not nice about it at all. There was a maintenance man over hearing our concerns about the lot, and said oh yeah i know about that lot and he put us in a 'new' lot by the front entrance pool. He told us that picnic table is yours. The table was closer to the permanent resident on the other side of us. So when he came out I said we were told this is ours to use. He said no, its mine he bought it. Did not want to make a stink about it bc we were going to be there for a month next to him. He was also parking right next to our truck and we could barely open the door. Upon early checkout I mentioned to Yvonne what happened with the picnic table upon arrival..she just laughed and said its not his and not even an apology. Had kids screaming we stole their clubhouse when we pulled in the spot. Was woken up multiple times at wee hours in the morning with speeding cars coming in the parking lot with the music booming. Flashing Police lights in lot several times during our stay. There were ZERO activities while we were there. Its definitely NOT a resort. No poop bags for your dogs, people actually put plastic shopping bags in the empty bag holders that the 'resort' never filled. Poop everywhere. The permanent residents and most of the staff are just plain rude. Kids come after school and use the pool screaming profanities and jumping and diving all around the pool. No supervision. ​Everyone would leave the pool when they came. Spoke with alot of other RVers and they ALL were dissatisfied with the place. It was a very uncomfortable stay. We left everyday all day and spent a ton on fuel just because we did not feel comfortable there. We will NEVER...

My family and I stayed a month here in December of 2021. We travel full-time. The fact that this park is advertised as a Resort is a joke. Don't be catfished by their website. The front office staff are the rudest people that I have encountered while traveling full-time. I don't know how these women still have a job, especially Yvonne. She needs some serious retraining. We were put on the main road and incoming park traffic sped by our site all night and morning long. There are a lot of unsupervised kids here. If you have kids, I wouldn't let them play outside without accompaning them. This place doesn't make you feel safe. Residents will walk and ride their bikes through your site daily with no regard or respect for your site or privacy Our spot was pure sand and the most unlevel site that we've had the displeasure of staying at. We got stuck while trying to pull in. We've had tire problems since staying here.. The water spigot is practically on the ground. There is zero shade here so you will bake in hot temperatures. There is virtually nothing to do at this park. They don't even have a dumpster here.. there is a little circle of residential size trashcans. When you make the trek to dump your trash, you have to cross your fingers and hope there is room for yours. Otherwise, you'll need to wait until they pick up trash on their designed days and times. It is basically a glorified mobile home park. Our mail was lost here on numerous occasions and was never recovered. We had to contact the merchant to get our money back. The front office makes you have your mail get sent to your site. The local USPS delivery person, Maria, is also particularly rude. I contacted her employer about her unprofessional service. Stay far away from this place. There are plenty of other parks that are affordable and front office employees that actually like and perform their jobs. If you need anything from the front office, don't bother because they won't help you. These women want to do as little as possible. We...
