☆☆☆☆☆THIS IS A RESTAURANT REVIEW😀💚! We love, love, love this place! We originally went across the street, to eat breakfast, but it was extremely packed and busy, with a ridiculous wait-time to be seated, so, we decided to go across the street to, The STATE MOTEL'S RESTAURANT, a.k.a.: R-PLACE EATERY. I am so glad that we went here, because we are now, mind blown! Upon first appearance, you could miss this unassuming destination, but I really recommend doubling back and stopping for breakfast( or any meal, for that matter)here! When we walked in, there was NO WAIT for seating, here! However, the dining room appeared to be, nearly full. This restaurant is managed, very well. All of the waitresses, here, at the State Motel's restaurant, have been working here long-term, as the manager, has mentioned. All of the waitresses, are quick, efficient, and on point! I will definitely, recommend this restaurant to everyone! There is wheelchair access, handicapped parking, the building is accessible and you could fit a wheelchair in here, almost anywhere. There is NO SMOKING in this restaurant, but I understand that some of the rooms have a smoking option. Did I mention, there is an all-you-can-eat BREAKFAST BUFFET?!! My fiance, ordered this buffet, and he was pleasantly surprised to find a potato heaven, in the hash browns! The hash brown potatoes, had onions and peppers and, what taste like, either tomato juice, or a mild salsa, cooked into them! YUMMY!!!! Eggs had pizzazz, the biscuits, even on the buffet, we're still soft and warm and golden and tasty! And, did I mention, that the sausage gravy is HOMEMADE?!!! (My favorite!) All of the meats were of high-qualty. And, the appearance of the dishes coming out of the kitchen, indicates that those meals are, also, homemade. The $$ prices are low, while the quality is high, the flavors are immense and seems to be married together, with perfection! I, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, The STATE MOTEL'S RESTAURANT, a.k.a. R-PLACE EATERY! Absolutely, five stars, all the way! Thank you guys for being so awesome on such a short notice! What a welcomed...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of being guests at the State Motel in Haines City, FL for more than a month. My husband is a contract worker which requires us to live on the road for extended periods of time.
First, our praise to the owners: they have been kind and friendly, very hospitable, and accommodating to our particular needs. They and their children are a beautiful family.
Second, our compliments to the motel: the property was well-maintained and clean, including our room. Our room was also quite spacious which accommodated our excess luggage and things without cramping our personal space. In addition to the table and two chairs provided, we also had more than enough room to set up another 4’ x2’ play table for my son. A large mini-fridge and microwave is provided which was helpful for our long stay. We had great sunlight coming into our room and a wonderful view of the sunset skies. We were also pleased that they do not allow pets.
The motel is also well situated along a particular stretch on Highway 27 which includes a variety of stores (including Wal-mart) and a large variety of restaurants (both dine-in and fast-food). There is a new Wendy's which opened up next door about 150 feet away. Most convenient of all is the ‘R-Place Eatery’ restaurant located right on property! It deserves its own praise for large-portioned very delicious food, friendly staff, and a comfortable, pleasant dining room.
For this family of three, we had a very relaxing stay. We highly recommend this motel for all travelers! The...
Read moreOkay, we will start by saying I rented a room for a single night for my wife my self and our two daughters. My wife works grave yard shift at the local Denny's next door and staying here was really about convenience. Well the very next morning we decide we are going to stay and let my wife catch up on needed sleep from the night before so we rented the room for another night. Mind you I live here I'm no tourist. I already paid 70 for the night in a motel that wasn't worth half that! The cleaning lady stops me and asks if I can step out side and talk to me . I said yes and walk out with her and she proceeds to tell me that they charge per adult and my paper work only mentioned one adult and I may be charged extra. I said oh no I just paid 70 bucks for this room everyone's hotel in town are going for about 50 per night so I've already well over paid . But I know for a fact when I rented the room the guy knew my wife would be staying with me and the kids COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst part is I left to make a street run and the lady came back, she just walked in the room changing towels talking to my kids and the whole time my wife is a sleep on the bed. I'm shocked I'm mortified I can not believe our privacy has been invaded in such a way and oh my goodness why was this lady in my room talking to my 3 and 6 year old and standing over their Manama sleeping body ughim more then weirded out I'm totally concerned do you're self a favor stay safe stay away...
