Island Cravings — Restaurant in Haines City

This was a wonderful experience. 🤩 The food was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. 👌🏾 My husband is Haitian 🇭🇹 so he's very picky where he eats. Most places he rates them as low budget. However, thus was our first time at island cravings but it will not be the last! We truly enjoyed our meal. 😋 Sorry we didn't get better pictures but we were in the car. The owners I'm assuming are the ones who answered the phone and took my husbands order in creole, then prepared it for him. There are many places to eat in the Haines city area , different foods from all nationalities, and island cravings definitely stands out . I decided to visit Island cravings and try their jerk chicken and conch fritters, and I was impressed, I came back to try the oxtail and I was blown away how tasty it is , the sides are just as good or better , now sides are not normally the highlight on an entrée but here they are. The shrimp PO Boy is ridiculously good. I've been coming back again and again , the food taste and quality are always consistent and never disappoint. Sooooo glad I turned around to give them a try. The food is delicious, jerk chicken with beans and rice, cabbage, and mac and cheese (upcharge) ohhhh and the portion size was perfect .( My teenage son and I could have shared it and had plenty) the customer service was better than most I've experienced locally. The only thing I would add is some type of bread/roll/cornbread and it would be perfect. We will be back 😋 i only gave 3 stars for atmosphere only because it's right off 27 in a motel parking lot...not very inviting if I wanted to sit and wait on my food but the gentleman brought the food to our vehicles so...
