A family member had mentioned this hotel to us and it had mostly great reviews on this web-site, so I said why not, lets try it. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed right after we checked in. We entered the 1 bedroom suite and found that the floor in both rooms were dirty, the trash hadn't been emptied and both the sliding glass doors to the balcony did not lock, the locks were broken. There were also dents in the ceiling and walls, stains on the walls, loose refrigerator handle and cabinet doors. My teenagers said it looked like there was some kind of "incident"that happened here. I asked the front desk attendant to come up and take a look. He had housekeeping come clean the suite again and went into the basement to find something we could use to keep the sliding glass doors from being opened until the manager could come in the morning. All he could locate were broken table legs that we could wedge in the doors. There were also problems with the A/C in the bedroom, it sounded like a jet taking off every time it went on. Needless to say, there wasn't much sleep to be had in that room. The blanket on the bed had someone else's hair on it, which is totally unacceptable. I know these units are individually owned and rented out through a rental company but you would think that @ $275.00 per night, you would be able to get a clean and decent room, but I was wrong. The manager did come and adjust the locks the next morning, so they would lock. The manager and the desk attendant were very nice and did what they could. I would think as an owner, you would check on your investment and make sure that things are up to standards. Anyways, I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this so called...
Read moreBooked this last minute for a 3 day family getaway. Traveling with toddlers comes with its challenges and I am very happy we decided to stay here. Location is excellent and convenient as it is within walking distance for kids' first time at the beach. Close enough to all the boardwalk action yet far enough to not be directly in the middle of it. ||Parking is a little tight but there is an overflow lot for larger vehicles. We stayed in Suite 9 - loved that it was all tile, no carpet which is amazing for our allergies. Unit was clean, spacious with lots of natural lighting. I was a little concerned about being on the second floor and having small kids walking around but the walls and floors seemed substantial. We didn't notice any noise from the neighboring units. Staff are all super friendly and made us feel welcomed. I would stay again if visiting Hampton Beach...
Read moreWe had stayed here a couple of times about 10 years ago. The main selling point was location, right at the start of Ocean Blvd and the strip. After choosing a couple of other places to stay during subsequent visits, we decided to give The Drift another go. The place had been renovated since our last visit and certainly did not disappoint! We were allowed to check in about an hour ahead of schedule, and were greeted by a friendly staff who answered all our questions. The 'studio', as our room was referred to, was clean and modern, and well worth the nightly rate we paid. It was basically an efficiency apartment. And the location cannot be beat, the beach is a mere 2 short blocks away. Also, it is close to the strip without being on the strip so it is a bit quieter than most places on the strip. Will definitely...
