Honestly really sad. 3 stars because I used to love this place but in all honesty it should be 2 stars. They closed down almost everything about this that was there for 20-30years.* The waterslides are gone. The mini golf upstairs is gone. Half the casino arcade that was upstairs is all gone or has been smooshed into a small area. Roll a bingo which was a favorite with some of the best prizes on the boardwalk for your time is gone. The old time dress up photos are gone. The bounce pad, ride a shark and even the longstanding ice cream shop in the middle of the fun center is gone! The shooting galley I knew about since the lady who ran it passed and the restaurant upstairs had a fire they had to get rid of the gallery. But everything else being gone was a shock. This was probably one of my favorite places to go.
They still have the fresh donuts and hotdogs/pizza both were perfect! but basically everything else in there still open was thrown in as an afterthought.
You could not even enter the building through the back parking lot. It's all closed off. Last time I went to Hampton was pre pandemic. I was honestly very sad at what has happened here. Many places were hit hard. There are longstanding businesses gone. The cartoon artist, Dudleys have both left Hampton. Most of what is still here are carbon copies of each other. Clothing shops that carry the same stuff, fried food shops and ice cream shops that carry the same stuff mostly.
Very sad time for Hampton beach. I'm going to miss all the fun I used to have at the casino and family fun...
Read moreWe went last Wednesday, June 21-23, as a family to take an early evening trip and walk on the boardwalks and go to the different shops on the boardwalks. Hampton Beach, for the most part, hasn't changed much.
They have a few new business owners. And of course the prices have gone up , which is no surprise. The prices were still ok for " T- Shirts , the food prices were high . They were through the roof , higher than ,but to be expected. Had a great time with family. Had an absolutely " Fantastic- View" of the fireworks 🎆 just before the corner of ( A Street) , where I bought a really cool Hampton Beach Tye -dye sweatshirt for a great price of $15. 00 bucks.
The fireworks were beyond up close they lasted approximately 20 minutes. " BEST " fireworks me and my family seen in several years. Each Wednesday night, they do Fireworks at 9:30 pm unless it's rain's, then it's usually that Friday of that week. The last time me and my family went to Hampton Beach was July -4th-2019
We parked , beyond the back of ( A Street) we paid $5.00 for parking . Which was an absolute great rate. I hope the family will be able to visit one more time this summer. Great overall, ...
Read moreWent last night for the first time to see Jimmy Cash. I got tickets for a high-top table. Having never been to the venue before, it looked like they were fairly in good proximity to the stage. We arrived just after the show began. The high top tables are so tightly placed togther with about 8 people to a table. We couldn't even squeeze through to our seats. And the other people at the table could have cared less to even be considerate and just shuffle so we could get to our seats. We stayed for the 2 opening comedians and then moved to many of the empty seats in front. I am not a Hampton Beach fan. Too honky tonk, arcade, boardwalk vibe for me but I wanted to see this show. I definitely wouldn't run back to see an event here . I also felt like it wasn't the right venue for this comedian. I saw him last year at Blue Ocean which was a but ore intimate and I think a better atmosphere? He just didn't see too...
