The location is perfect, and the river tour was minutes away. The park offers a shuttle to and from and the prices are very fair for the campground. The dumping station is conveniently on the way out and simple to access. The reason my rating is lower was because when my family and I went to the pool the other guests were AWFUL. The teenagers were running around screaming, physically fighting and swearing left and right. They were jumping off the ladders and being very aggressive and obnoxious and the staff did nothing. As soon as some rain and one lightening strike came the staff immediately ran out and closed to pool, which I understand for safety but to allow the other guests and teens to act in such a way they did was repulsive and made the park feel very trashy and unsafe for my young children. We loved the location but we likely won't go back because it was so out of control. The playground was a little better but there were still teens being rude and aggressive over their as well. If the staff was more attentive it could have changed the entire situation. The pool area itself was very nice and it looked newly renovation as well as the upgraded playground. When I called to book they told me they had a military discount and they would apply it when we arrived. Well we arrived and they said "oh, we don't do it these days". That too was off-putting. Hopefully the park can fix these issues and...

To start, we were charged $80 more than what we were quoted over the phone. The girl at the front desk was rude every time I talked to her (which was probably 7/8 times overall). The only time she seemed pleasant was when she was checking us out of our site. Several sites were flooded and they told the people who already paid for the reservations that they WOULDN’T do anything to help them. The campers told me they had to shovel water out themselves in hopes that it would dry on time. I spoke to 4 people who said they have been going there for over 10 years and ALL of them said they won’t be back. Other campers continued to party past 2am and nothing was done (friends of the workers I assume). The pool was the only good thing there and even then they made excuses not to clear the bugs out when another camper asked them to. The restrooms could definitely use some help! There weren’t any locking doors on the ones next to our camp and they didn’t turn the lights on at dark. Would be nice if they invested some money back into the property. Our first and last experience here! I seriously haven’t seen such a bad experience at a camp site and I’ve been camping for...

I cannot tell you how many campgrounds my wife and I stayed in this summer, but this is by far the most unusual. The experience began upon our arrival (40’ DP plus the toad. The campground isn’t designed for this type of unit, but we had picked a corner lot. That was the easiest to get to. We were very disappointed to find that it was not an FHU, but electric and water only. The website said that it was a FHU but the lady was aghast that I didn’t realize that the side of the campground where we were staying did not have any sewer available except for a dump station. So I have to question the $49 per night rate for limited hook ups. I will admit that the Wi-Fi was better than at the other campgrounds, but it is not free! Normally, I would have given 3 stars, but the lots were very large and nicely shaded. You could park on the lot in any way that you saw fit. That’s a luxury that’s hard to find! The best part of the entire experience was learning to cook bacon after it has been coded with...

We camped from Tuesday to Saturday, with the campground slowly filling up towards the weekend. Generally laid back and respectful experience. Our adjacent lots were across from the restrooms in the front, and behind us through our neighbors was the river. We had about a day of rain spread through a couple days, and the tree cover was nice for this, and keeping the direct sun away when it was hotter. Busy campground, but I liked the location to Loudonville, and we used the River Run float location just a bit up the road to do their 7 mile float, which we ended up being on the river for about four hours.

We found this beautiful spot up at Mohican and we absolutely love this campground. Everyone is so friendly and every person we have met has been nice, respectful and helpful. It’s clean and honestly perfect for family, or a trip with friends. The kids have a nice spot to play and they make sure the entire property is clean. They have tent camping or RV hookup.
