I don’t see how this hotel has a good rating. I never do reviews and am generally a patient and tolerant person. However my experience at this hotel today really pushed those limits. The price and location for this hotel are perfect. And I appreciate that. The hotel quality is mediocre at best. And I can deal with that. However the staff are terribly inept and honestly don’t seem to even care. I’ve never seen such apathetic help. The check-in experience yesterday was a challenge…ok. Over it. But today… in trying to get a simple bottle of water?! Nope. Forget it. First of all the case of drinks was down to almost nothing. No attempt to restock at all, I observed a few times as I was coming and going. Then, when I needed water and went down to get it, the check-in or assistance line at the front desk was 5 guests long and NO ONE there to assist. We waited quite a while. When she did finally show, she moved ridiculously slow (maybe even intentionally?), and it took her (I clocked it) more than 10 minutes to check in one couple! She never looked up. Never acknowledged or apologized. Not a single kind word at all. Never said two words really. After she checked in that couple, with 4 more of us waiting in line for help, she walked away - literally between us all - to make a huge caraffe of coffee! By the way… the entire time, not one person attempted to get coffee. Not one. She was gone at least another 5 minutes for that. Came back, not a word spoken to anyone. And then? Took the next couple’s drivers license and disappeared again… 5 minutes went by… then 10… I was still 3 or 4 people back… for a bottle of water… and now there were people behind me. So I gave up. Back to my mediocre room. It would have taken me an hour to get that water. And that’s literal. And the worst part of it is that this lady simply did not care at all. No interest in helping, no common courtesy, no people skills whatsoever, and I quite honestly think she simply did not want to work today. And she wanted us all to know it. I understand that reliable help can be challenging to find. But this was beyond ridiculous. This lady has no business working in this environment. If you have other options for accommodations in this area, you should consider them. This place needs help. Seriously, help wanted....
Read moreI was booked here for 2 nights for a work event. Checked in and realized my company booked me in a handicap room although I am not in a wheelchair. I felt bad that I was taking up this room, so promptly went back to the front desk to tell them the situation. Before I could even get my full sentence out, Vicki (manager on duty) aggressively stated ‘NO ROOM CHANGES ALLOWED’ despite me not even inquiring with her. I was talking to her coworker next to her. I ignored this very rude and abrupt comment, and continued telling the other front desk employee my situation. She was very friendly (which is the only reason I’m giving service 2 stars) and she heard me out and told me that there was an issue with their system so they couldn’t move me. I was fine with this, as she was friendly about it and heard me out.
The first thing I noticed when I arrived in my room was the terrible odor coming from the bathroom. It smelled like backup sewage issues. It was truly unbearable. I couldn’t even breathe in that bathroom. I wish that was the worst of it. On top of the smell, there was grime and bodily discharge on the walls. It looked like it had never been deep cleaned.
Upon seeing how gross the bathroom was, I decided I should further inspect the place I was staying. The air vent was furry with mold. It was caked on there. Under the 2 beds was so much dust and trash. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Long story short, I had to sleep in my car all night until I promptly checked out as soon as I could the next morning. My company booked me the Courtyard Marriott in Lebanon for the remainder of my business trip. Needless to say, we will not be using this hotel ever again. This Hampton Inn assured me that I’d never stay in another Hampton Inn again no matter where I go.
24 hours later and I...
Read moreThis place...i haven't stayed in many hotels before and I'm not a pickey person, and neither is my boyfriend. But, I'll start with this the closet door didn't close at all and I had to use a folded towel to keep it shut...tbe hooks in the bathroom were falling out of the walls. And none of this is a big deal really to us we really just wanted a place to sleep, mostly. The Wi-Fi is free if you can get your device to log on. Still not a big deal to either of us. The reason I'm even saying anything at all us because of this...which was a very big deal to both of us. 2 other guests staying there were basically harassing us. Both my boyfriend and I smoke and there are no smoking rooms, however, almost every time one or both of us went out for a smoke one or both of these guests approached us and literally hustled us for cigarettes!!! We did oblige a few times, but then it almost got to be too much. When we left after a 2 night stay (for 330 dollars mind you) every time I left my room, I felt the need to check over my shoulder to make sure one of those 2 weren't following me. According to those 2 they had been there a week or so, how did no staff member notice this and do something? We couldn't have been the only ones. Over all, I have to say...it was clean, the shower was excellent, the breakfast was great, the housekeeping service was very good. When I checked out, the manager didn't even ask how our stay was, I really had the impression she didn't care how it was, but her disinterested demeanor. I'm just disappointed, and I really hope those other 2 guests aren't allowed to shake down any other people just looking for an enjoyable time in a very...
