Sadly the unit we stayed in was very dated and not any where near the standard other Waikoloa condos that we have stayed in the past were. Rattan furniture that looked dirty, missing pieces on the armrest of the large sofa was just the beginning. Upon entering the unit, it was sparsely furnished. A sofa, loveseat, tv armoire, rattan coffee table and a small, rattan dining table with 4 chairs was all that we saw upon entering the front door. The kitchen had no bar stools, dish cloths, cleaning pads or dishwashing liquid. Dishes were still in the dishwasher. One of the double sinks had standing water in it as the stopper in it was upside down and wedged in the sink...stuck. The AC in the unit did not provide consistent cooling through the unit, the upstairs was extremely cold and the bedroom on the ground floor was uncomfortably warm. King size pillows were covered with 2 standard size pillow cases...this was a 1st for me to see. The upstairs bedroom, which is the master, had no dresser, and there were no shelves in the closet to place clothing. There is also no TV in the master bedroom. We used the linen closet to put shirts and other clothing items that didn't need to be hung. Only 2 small lamps illuminated the master bedroom. The wooden floors needed mopping and the carpeted stairs looked very dirty and in need of a good shampoo. The toilet in the downstairs area had a visible accumulation of mineral deposits in the bowl and on the surround. The inner side of the door was noticeably dirty. Oddly this is the first condo that I have stayed in that had no property binder which usually contains information about the property and the surrounding areas.
Sadly I have to give this unit a very poor rating, it is neither a standard for Aston properties nor for the Waikoloa area. We stay in the Waikoloa area at various properties yearly, This property was appalling and not the standard we are...
Read moreI would like to begin this review by saying we were very grateful to be in Hawaii and know how lucky we are. This is more of a alert to keep looking before renting this property. We have rented several homes and condos on the big island and this one had quite a few challenges. This is the first that had no beach equipment (chairs, boogie board, umbrella, etc), the beds were very lumpy and old, the air was limited to nothing below 75 degrees which made for a few hot nights, there were no pillows in the master bedroom (some in the closet but no cases), kitchen and the whole house was poorly stocked, basically the owners went cheap on everything and it showed. The condo development was quiet and the pool area and grounds were very nicely kept. The woman that checked us in was very pleasant and nice to deal with. I would ask a lot more questions next time. All in all, I wouldn’t rent this again for the price knowing there are WAY better...
Read moreI’m not 100% sure the staff assigned us to the correct||Room. There was a baby crib in the room when we checked in . The next day the staff called to see if they could go in the room to get it to which I said use, They them called three more times and emailed twice! This isn’t how I wanted to spend my first day of vacation.||They were not very generous with supplies either- I think there was one extra roll of toilet paper and one extra||garbage bag. The sofa bed was old and in pretty bad condition. We ended up purchasing an air mattress because there was no way anyone was going to get any sleep on that thing. And i was really unimpressed when we got locked a few days before we were due to check out. .The door code had got changed without notifying us. I wondered what would have happened if we had come back to the unit after office hours?||Not impressed anyway-...
