We got engaged!! The deck, the location right on the waters edge, and the view!!! Pods of dolphins swimming by in the mornings, distant rainstorms in the evenings. The outdoor dinning table under the expansive overhang kept us dry and able to enjoy our meal. The stargazing 🔭 was out of this world from out there as well. Thought the coqi frogs 🐸 might have been an issue after reading the reviews but we loved them and miss hearing there voices now were gone. Not sure if the description mentions it but there is beach gear, and sundries like oil, and rice which were both a heartfelt surprise. As well as many homey touches like the kukui nut lei, the hand rolled beach towels, games, puzzles and decor throughout. This was our first vacasa experience and it was all so easy they’ve won over our business. From the touchless entry and hands off arrival & checkout the toilet paper flower in the half bath. Friendly neighbors on one side and no one at home the 5 nights we were there. Quiet property at the end of the road with garage the sounds of the ocean waves lulling you to sleep. Surprisingly there were many local fishers casting off the formidable 10ft lava cliffs most nights and all night one night. Was fun to watch them casting with glowing lures. Location was easy to come and go exploring pahoa, puna, the east rift zone, volcanoes np and hilo. Would highly recommend nings thai restaurant in pahoa, so good and super spicy 🌶️ if you like that which i do we had to go a couple times! Could not have asked for a better experience and can’t wait o get the opportunity to return soon! Thank you all so much!

The house is nice with a pretty quiet neighborhood. That is until the local residents use the long straight road in front of the house for their personal atv/dirt bike race track. It happened a few times in the 31 days we were here & thankfully they only make a few passes & then seem to have had enough. We were told the house was cleaned & ready for us earlier than expected if we wanted to check-in to only find dirty floors, a coffee pot with coffee grounds left in it so long it turned into a science project. There was hair still on the furniture & in the shower drains. They reached out the same evening & wanted to "make sure their cleaning meets our expectations & could we reply with a rating 1-5". I did not rate them, just sent the photos we took & told them to rate themselves based on those photos. That took them 3 days to get someone to come & do a better job cleaning the house. Within 3 days I made a list of repairs that should be addressed soon, & while I specified they did not need to be done before we left, they should be looked at before the next guest arrive so they may have a better experience. 9 days later Vacasa reached out & said "the local caretaker would like to stop by to address the concerns I had sent them". Well we checked out without any contact from the local caretaker. Now that just became a trust issue when you say you are going to do something and then don't. Good luck & hope your stay here is enjoyable & uneventful.

We just returned from five nights at the kahalu'u beach villas 1-203. Everything was amazing! From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the correct decision. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, perfect for our family of 5. The lanai overlooking the pool and kahalu'u beach was a great place to eat breakfast and drink our morning kona coffee. The unit was very clean with all the amenities as described. The on-site pool was so warm! They had a hot tub but i never found myself in it because of how comfortable the regular water was, looking out over the beach. It was a struggle to get out. Who needs a hot tub! The only thing that can beat the unit and the pool is the location itself! Right across the street from kahalu'u beach, some of the best snorkeling we had during our time in Hawaii! So many fish, with the occasional turtle. And when we were done, we just went back to our unit without the drive. Overall it was great! No complaints. Do yourself a favor and rent this unit next time you go to kona!

Great unit at kona bali kai #207 The number one thing we liked about this unit was the location and the spectacular view from the second floor balcony. We spent a lot of time on the balcony listening to the ocean, watching the waves roll in and crash into the shore, watching the surfers, and watching the beautiful sunsets. You can leave the balcony doors open and listen to ocean as you fall asleep at night. Access to the unit was great. It was located between two sets of stairs and there was an elevator by the stairs to the right. Your initial entry is by an electronic keypad type lock. Once in you will find a physical key you can take along so you don't have to enter a 10 digit code each time you enter the unit. There is both outdoor and indoor (under the complex) parking. Two parking passes are provided with this unit. The unit itself was very clean and comfortable. The unit has a king size bed and there is plenty of drawer space so you can unpack your suitcases and get them out of the way. The kitchen is well equipped and has sufficient supplies for four guests. The unit has a new (at least looks like) washer dryer combo, and it very quiet. The unit is located in a great location with easy access to the downtown area and shopping. You are probably two or three miles from downtown kona so most people will need a car to get there. There is a safeway supermarket a few miles away. The complex does have a pool and spa which we didn't use however they looked very inviting. We saw others using both. They are surrounded by a fence with a locked gate where you need the token on the room key ring to get in. I highly recommend this unit to people traveling to the kona area, especially if you want an ocean front room. I don't know if or when i'll return to kona, but if i do i'll be certain to check the availability...

Outstanding location, exceptional cleanliness, and very comfortable accommodations!

We loved the condo’s close proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The first-floor location was also a big plus, as it made access to walking and running paths outside the estate incredibly convenient. Inside, the unit was spotless, well-stocked, and furnished for comfort. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the overall space was perfect for a relaxing family getaway.

We did experience a couple of minor issues: the hot water in the master shower was inconsistent, and the fridge’s ice maker could use maintenance or replacement. However, kemo (james), the unit’s maintenance engineer, was absolutely outstanding. He addressed everything promptly and professionally; his service was a highlight of our stay. Thank you, kemo!

One suggestion for improvement: communication could be more streamlined. We received messages from several different sources who didn’t seem to be in sync, which created confusion. When I attempted to call one of the contacts (stasha) for clarification, my calls went unanswered. If texting/email are the only mode of communication, phone numbers should ideally be omitted to avoid false expectations. Personally, I prefer to speak directly with agents/representatives to avoid misunderstandings.

Overall, this is a high-quality property with a peaceful atmosphere. It is ideal for both relaxation and celebration. It was just what we needed for our 20th anniversary with our family, and we would absolutely...
