I don't even know where to begin. Booked this hotel weeks ago on Hotels.com because it was convenient to the concert venue. I booked it as pay at hotel which I do most of the time and no issue. Well The lady from the front desk called me on Thursday the day prior to checking in saying that she could not process my card And then she proceeded to have an attitude asking me if I was coming tomorrow or what? And I explained that I had clicked pay at hotel not the day prior. I informed her that I would be down Friday around 1:00 p.m. she said if I didn't pay by 3:00 she would have to cancel my reservation. Later on that night, Thursday I received a notification from hotels.com that my trip was canceled. So I immediately called the motel to confirm what had gone wrong, she claimed we tried calling you and did not hear from you. But then when I told her I had spoken with her earlier she looked up my name and said oh yes we did speak You are all set for tomorrow. So I left it as that but I've never been so aggravated with booking on hotels.com and getting this much attitude from the owner of a hotel. So on Friday after I checked in I dropped my bags off and headed to the concert. Came back, it was cop central, literally the hotel was surrounded by cops. Minded my business went to my room decided to take a shower after getting in realizing they have shampoo but no conditioner. Then I realized they have no blow dryer. Despite the fact that the rooms are somewhat newly renovated and decent, they should provide better amenities. On top of all that woke up the next morning to more cops to walking outside to seeing a dead body! I advise to not stay at this motel! Pay the extra money to stay somewhere a bit further or something...
Read moreI stayed in room 3 and was quite satisfied. I felt VERY SAFE & SECURE. I would stay again without a second thought. Well worth it for the budget-minded. The modestly sized room and bathroom were clean. The A/C & Heater wall unit is huge… A/C can get crazy cold. Recent paint, flooring, fixtures, roll window shade, sink, and furniture appear new. WiFi was acceptable.||I much appreciated the compact fridge, microwave, and large TV. I was impressed with the two nightstands. Each had two electric outlets and two USBs– in addition to the multiple outlets around the room. There was a mini coffee maker, sturdy paper cups, creamer, sugar, and various kinds of coffee. Although economy quality, these were thoughtfully supplied: a packet of body cream, small bar of soap, and packet of shampoo. FYI, open the shampoo before you get your hands wet.||Sufficient towels, washcloths, and three pillows. Thin fabric bedding. The towels could use some bleach to brighten them, but they were clean. The bed was a bit firm for me, yet I slept well. I wish they provided a blanket, as I was a bit cold.||No clock, tissues, phone, or Gideon's Bible. If you are under 50, look that last one up! The motel is right near State Highway 36. I turned up the fan to keep out some noise. The other guests were decent and no problems. All seemed to have nicer vehicles than me, lol. PS: If guests smoking outside your room bother you, just respectfully ask them to go over to the...
