BEWARE!! THEIR RETURN POLICY IS A TRICK!!!!Made a purchase a couple of weeks ago for a Christmas item that is supposed to play music and sync the outdoor lights to go with the beat of the music. When I purchased it I asked alot of questions to understand that it did what it advertised. The employee that was helping me said she wanted to go check with someone else. No problem. They say that is what it looks like it does but if I have any problems I have until the 13th of December to return it. That's fair to me. So I make sure I get evening connected and hooked up right, I plug it in adjust everything like the directions say to do. The music starts playing, I turn it up and it starts crackling if it goes past 3/4 of the setting.i would think that it should be clear to the max volume it allows you to set it to, but i say ok, no biggie, I'll deal with it. Then I proceed to play with adjustments to get the lights to go with the music, and nothing. I try it all, go over directions again, have someone else check to see if I'm doing something wrong. They try it and nothing. So I pack it all up and head over to return it. I have the receipt tell them what happen and the gentlemen says ok and goes over to register. He starts punching things in and says i can give you a store credit. I said why, I paid cash, I have the receipt, and was told I have until the 13th the bring it back. He says well the store credit never expires, ok that's fine and good, but I'll never use it. He said well do you have a pool or hot tub that you can use the credit for because that is a majority of what they sell. I tell him no I don't have either but why can't I get my money back. You ready for this? Because the price of the item ends in. 88 which means it's a final sale.. what? I asked specifically when I bought it and spent about 200 here what do I do if I have a problem because you aren't even sure it does what it says it does and was told it's no problem just bring it back with the receipt and you can get your money back. Nobody ever told me that it depends on the price of the item. If it cost for example $1.88 the item isn't returnable because anything that ends in. 88 cents means it's a final sale, but if it ends in anything else I could have returned it! ARE THEY KIDDING ME? So now I'm sick with this machine that was $90+ because the price ended in $.88! I'm being flabbergasted and well never spend anther dollar at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeing first time pool owners, my husband and I were unsure where to go. At Home Recreation was recommended to us by a friend who has purchased a pool there the year prior. They are not local to us so we went back in March to just go and "look" at their pools. Needless to say, we ended up purchasing our pool that day. Our salesman Jared was knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all, HONEST! We were deciding between a round pool (in stock) or a oval pool (wouldn't have it until June). Jared gave us all of the pros and cons, including the price difference. He never once pushed us towards the more expensive option. And he was very open about the current pool shortage and that just because he was saying June, it could be longer. We felt like Jared was treating us like we were family. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it was true. It's very rare to find a salesman with that old school mentality and we truly appreciated it. In the end, we went for the risk and the oval pool. The pool did come in on time and the manager, Steve, was great about keeping me in the loop on it's delivery date to the store. Once they had the pool it was at my house in 3 days! Steve helped me with all sorts of questions I had regarding storing the pool, as our install date was not for a few weeks. I can hands down say that both Jared and Steve were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to assist us with anything we have needed along the way. Our pool is finally in the ground and we are looking forward to many years of enjoying it. We will absolutely travel to Hazlet for any of our pools needs, because the team at AHR is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff is helpful and friendly. But im giving 2 stars because the liquid shock and the liquid algaecide is expired and old. The algaecide which they charging 8.49 a gallon is clear with soapy bubbles. Its not blue like it used to be. Its so old that the safety cover under the cap is brown and comes off easily. You dont have to even put the clear tab. Same thing with the 1 gallon shock. This is the second year in a row so im done going there for chemicals. For people reading this. Dont waste your money on chemicals and wonder why your having issues with your pool. Its not your pool its the chemicals that lost its potency. Save your money. If you dont believe go to aisle and remove a cap from a bottle you see its old and expired. I spoke to manager about this and he said its fine . Ive had a pool for 20 years never added chemicals and my pool registered and i test a glass of water from the sink. And by the way there return policy sucks. Your better off taking the lost because they put up some fight. Better off putting a claim on your...
