We were so excited to stay here but it was overrun by sports teams, kids and people from conferences. We stayed Saturday night and paid $300/night (after taxes/fees) for a very chaotic stay. This is a smaller embassy suites location but is newer and has some nice touches. Parking is an additional $10. We had to move rooms because the first one wasn’t clean. The pool was packed with 10+ kids and even if you were to go for a drink at the bar there was nowhere to sit with kids running around the lobby. Also, screaming kids running up and down the hallways outside our room was not enjoyable. We mentioned this to the front desk and they offered only a sorry and nothing more. We booked through Hilton and are members but we were quite disappointed nothing was done to make up for our stay and lack of available amenities. All of the staff were wonderful! The breakfast here is really good with a lot of variety. They also have a guest reception with some light snacks (veggies and chips) and beverages (5:30-7pm). Beds were very comfortable and most rooms only have showers(no bath tubs).

The hotel is generally fine, but there are a few unpleasant details that affected our stay. The room had torn curtains, and the large bottle of hair conditioner in the bathroom was completely empty, which was inconvenient. The most disappointing issue was the breakfast schedule. We always stay at this hotel when we visit, and it has usually been a good experience. This time, we chose it again so that our child could have a proper breakfast before important competitions starting at 7:30 AM. We assumed that breakfast would start at 6 AM, like on weekdays, but it turned out that on weekends it begins at 7 AM. If you are bringing a child here for a competition, make sure the competition schedule allows time for breakfast.

Update:|The hits keep on coming at this property. Embassy Suites Hillsboro will change your reservation on a whim. At first it was just my reservation that Embassy Suites moved to another property without notifying me. Now three members of our group have been moved to another Hilton property without warning and were only notified upon arrival at the Embassy Suites. The reservations were made approximately one month prior to arrival. Please consider this when booking for a group or family travel. You could end up in our situation, where our group specifically booked at Embassy Suites to coordinate meetings and local travel together. Embassy Suites will separate you and move you to another property. Perhaps you will be traveling with your family, and you book at Embassy Suites for the room configuration you need. Then without your knowledge or consent, upon arrival after a long day of travel, you and your family are moved to another property and end up in a room with one bed and a minifridge. Embassy Suites will graciously allow you to use their amenities that you originally booked, but don't expect anything else to make up for the inconvenience. In fact, the attitude conveyed is that you should feel lucky they allowed you to have a bed anywhere. Do not take the chance. Book elsewhere and avoid Hilton properties, at least in the Hillsboro/Portland area.||Original Post:|Guest beware, especially if planning group travel. Hilton changed my reservation to another property without my consent or knowledge. I booked through Hilton as an Honors member approximately one month prior to my intended stay. I was traveling with a group of colleagues from a variety of organizations to meet and collaborate in the Hillsboro area. I directed everyone to stay at the Embassy Suites for coordination purposes. Upon arrival (after cross-country travel), I was informed that I was being moved out of the Embassy Suites to another Hilton property. There was no prior warning and minimal recognition of the inconvenience caused. I asked how is it even possible for Hilton to move a reservation secured a month prior to another property on the day of arrival. The front desk manager responded with a shrug and vague answers. Management at the Embassy Suites and at the property I was moved to treated me as an inconvenience. My attempts to resolve this with the front desk staff at the Embassy Suites were met with indifference. I will be directing my team to avoid Hilton properties. I've never had something like this happen in years of travel. If you're planning for a group, I would suggest a...

Excellent 3 day staycation at the Hilton Embassy Suites with my wife and 2 cats.

Check in was fast and painless. Two nights including both cats, taxes, parking, wifi, etc. came to $466.58. There was a free wifi option but it was too slow to stream movies so I upgraded for $5/day.

There are no valets or porters. Rolling carts are available near the lobby entrance and self-parking costs $10/night.

The room was clean and capacious with a large bedroom, comfortable living room, huge cable TVs in both rooms, office area, wet bar, kitchen and bath including a bathtub with plenty of hot water. The drains in the kitchen and bathroom were clogged but everything else worked fine.

There's no mini bar, snacks, stationary, literature, pens, paper, etc. or any utensils at all except a coffee maker and 2 bags of coffee.

Room service is only available for a few hours in the afternoon from 5 to about 9pm. On the second day it was only available for less than an hour so we were lucky to have ordered early. The food quality was good but there's not a lot to choose from and very few vegan options. An order of 5 onion rings cost $16.00 plus a mandatory 25% tip. When the server brought the order I asked him if tip was included and he said no. When my wife signed the bill she noticed a 25% tip was included so we did not feel the need to add to that. He seemed quite disappointed after that and stormed off. His behavior seemed a bit rude and uncalled for. The second night we ordered fries and the gal said they didn't have french fries. I told her we ordered fries the night before no problem, and then she said "Okay I'll have to discuss this with the chef and see what he can do". They ultimately brought the fries but forgot the dressing for the salads. When I called and asked for the dressing the same gal actually argued with me about the salads already having enough dressing. These were the same salads we ordered the night before, which did come with dressing! Fortunately, these issues with room service were our only negative experiences with staff at the hotel.

The room was quiet and well-insulated but somewhat stuffy because the windows do not open and there's no outside ventilation or ceiling fans.

Their daily breakfast buffet was outstanding! Fresh, perfectly prepared and everything you could possibly think of - even a made-to-order omelet station.

My wife and I - and even the cats - had a wonderful stay and will...
