Scottish Inns & Suites Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX — Hotel in Houston

The customer service of this motel is absolutely awful. I needed a room after a cruise between my flight and called while aboard the ship a night in advance. The man who I spoke to was very friendly and easy to talk to. He explained I can even pay hourly since I didn’t need to stay overnight it was simply just a place to drop our bags until our flight. I was told I can come in in the morning and there would be rooms available early since I didn’t want to wait until the typical 3pm check in. I was very clear and verified 3 or 4 times I wouldn’t need a reservation and there were plenty of available rooms today. which the guy told me to speak to the owner or manager in the morning and he can give us an hourly rate and there were tons of rooms available. Upon arrival this morning (8 hours after this phone call) we showed up in an Uber and start unloading our bags. The owner(I assume) came out yelling how there’s no rooms available. I’m in shock there’s no rooms available when 8 hours prior(after midnight we called) they somehow filled up. Just a rude manager/owner. Found somewhere else that ended up being even cheaper! Newer hotel nice rooms needed lamps by beds but other than that nice. Check in was easy we didn’t get there till 9pm so that was nice. The stay was pleasant beds comfortable we got up around 7 am took shower and relaxed till 9am then loaded car and checked out. My complaint comes from when we left my wife left her feather pillow on the bed. We got about 30 minutes from the hotel and she was like I forgot my pillow… you can’t buy those pillows anymore she’s had it for 20 yrs. I turned around and she called front desk told her there was no pillow turned in. We get there I go in and ask front desk about pillow and she said there is no pillow.. she asked housekeeping and there was no pillow. I asked to go to too To look and was told room was checked out already… at 1030am.. check in is 3pm.. While the rooms are decent & clean. Things have sucked. Toilets suck and customer service is awful. Our toilet wouldn’t flush or fill up with water, we had to call down to the office for someone to come up to fix it late night and I mean very well past 12am. They literally watch your every move. Having to get picked up or receiving a ride from someone is a no go here you’d have to have them park next door at the Wendy’s. They are very rude in the office for no reason. I get the certain amount of people in the room is a protocol, but really?! My fiancé was picked up by his friend and we were then locked out of our room with all of our belongings inside.
