Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Houston

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK EITHER!!!! My daughter in law started working here for a summer job and she told me everything she and she only worked her 3 weeks for her first ever paycheck and job.

Basically, they don't always use gloves when making your food, especially sandwiches. When they burn food, the don't even bother completely cleaning the pans good. Some of the employees don't wear gloves when seasoning the chicken, then placing it into the basket to drop into the grease . They don't train the new staff, but proceed to get frustrated when they do something incorrectly or don't understand what or how they are supposed to do something, such as putting in orders or going to get something from the back. My daughter in law had to miss a day of work her first week because of a family emergency dealing with her mother, and she said that the store supervisor/district manger, Tori, qualified that as not a good excuse to miss work. Then the store manger, Abby, reduced her days without notice but proceeded to call AND text to make sure my daughter in law was staying with the company. My daughter in law says that another manager, Debra, can be a nice and playful woman, but the minutes things get stressful or she unknowing does something incorrectly Debra looses her temper and will attempt to go off on not just her but the other new employees. My daughter in law officially quit because the store supervisor, is not only constantly watching the store even when she is out at parties to make sure nobody is on their phones despite slow business, but she apparently is being a hypocrite about store policies. My daughter was told that she can't keep her nose piercing in, and if she does then she needs to wear a mask. I understand that part, especially working around food, but apparently Tori has 2 nose piercings that she isn't allowed to wear AT ALL. most of my daughters coworkers have kids, and even they are shown no sympathy, even when their children get sick.

Not only do they keep on piling on new things for my daughter to do instead of explaining it from the get go, but none of that is worth the measly $9/hr they are trying too pay...

I normally don't leave reviews, but this is the worst Popeyes I've ever been to. A line with only two cars in front of me took 30 minutes just for me to get to the speaker to order. I then sat at the speaker for another 8 minutes before giving up and leaving, and going to the Popeyes on El Dorado (Which has been awesome in comparison). If you wait long enough they will probably eventually take your order, and then the problem becomes that they will give the wrong food. If you ask for mild tenders like me then make sure to double check that they're mild, because they won't hesitate to throw a few spicy ones in there if they run out of mild already cooked. On top of that even if they do get your order correct there is still a good chance that they gave you one or two less pieces than you ordered, or that your food won't be hot. The only way to avoid the super long wait is to go inside the building (assuming they have their dining room open at that time), but this typically will only shorten the wait and not affect any of the other issues. I strongly suggest if you want Popeyes DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION! Instead I highly recommend the one on El Dorado near...

The staff was ok, I will give them that. I placed our order, my order was boxed immediately we had to wait on the other order (it was all to go) when the second part of the order was ready they bagged my order without making it fresh so apparently it just sat there while we waited. In general I love Popeyes and I know their quality of food at other locations. They should have boxed it up AFTER the portion we were waiting on was done. They were out of several side items and the soda dispensers needed changing my grandson got mostly plain soda water with very little soda syrup. I mentioned it to the staff, she already knew and told me other sodas were out as well. I feel that should have been taken care of immediately. All in all I feel it was lack of good management or employees who just really didnt care. The parking seriously was lacking we had to wait to back out due to the line for drive through. Once out there was a serious issue with the parking lot quality. I feel it is a poor location for a fast food restaurant due to those issues. When in that area again I will not...
