Most Vietnamese places that I've gone to have your typical pho, bahn mi, vermicelli plate and rice dishes but this spot has a lot more variety. I actually tried their wonton egg noodle soup instead of something I usually go for (i.e. pho).
The broth was fantastic! I think it's the same soup as Hu tieu where it was light yet flavorful. For the topping, there were pork slices, pork wonton, and a fried shrimp wrap(?) I'm personally very picky when it comes to pork and it's gaimy taste so I gave my wontons away to my coworkers. Everything else about this dish was great though! I also had a bite of my coworker's combination stir fried noodles and it was just okay. I've had better at different restaurants but it's not a bad choice if that's what you're craving.
As for service, I'm not sure if they're used to people knowing what they want to order before they get into the restaurant but our server was hovering over our table from the minute we were seated so that was interesting. Also as a heads up, all the workers here are Vietnamese- but don't be discouraged about trying spot if you can't speak the language! Most customers here are Vietnamese too (that's how you know it's legit) but there were also good number of people from different ethnic backgrounds who all seemed to really enjoy their food!
Overall, I'm glad I found this restaurant and I'm looking forward to trying other...

10 years ago, I was not a fan of pho. It lacked the full body flavor of ramen, and the noodle texture of pho never appealed to me either. But my roommate loves it 😅 so we experimented with this place and it was a HIT! I'm a bit of a hippie & naturalist, but I still cant really adjust to the herby taste of most traditional pho. I much rather enjoy RICH flavors, and the Beef noodle pho we ordered was exactly that! It was exquisite 🤤🤤
Lol still wasn't a fan of the noodles but that's a personal preference. Besides, we devoured everything! The soup based had alot of flavor, seasoning was perfect - nothing had to be adjusted; the dish wasn't too salty, the broth wasnt thick - it was easy to drink, and it didnt have an oily/fatty texture.
The restaurant is a large enough establishment on Scarsdale with adequate parking, making it suitable for large family gatherings. This quaint mom n' pop also has such a familial vibe because they're so one-on-one, engaging in day-to-day conversations with their customers like old friends would 🌻

Read moreMy cousin recently introduced us to this place and we are hooked. She ordered their Deep Fried Chicken Wings with Butter. What a huge portion. It was fantastic, crispy, savory and butter. It was accompanied with a side of lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. After eating this meal, I had to go in person and try out other items.
Today I had the Salt Toasted Squid - Muc Rang Muoi. It was crispy, buttery, lightly salted and tossed in peppers. The meal was fantastic. I also got to try my friends Com Tam Suon Dac Biet. The pork chop was nicely marinated and succulent. It was accompanied by a light and savory broth.
Overall the food was exceptional and the best Vietnamese in that area. I would definitely frequent this place. The owner is also super nice. The service was fast and the...
