STOP INN STAY — Hotel in Houston

I wrote a review before but it didn't show up somehow. Probably because it was too long with complaints so I'm going to keep it shorter and a lot sweeter. If you're looking for cheap and don't care about anything else, book here. But don't stay for long. The owner is mean and inconsiderate and won't accommodate for his poor business management. Plus there was a fly, roach and mosquito problem. He's not professional and you run the chance of getting cussed out by him if you disagree or are concerned with little things. He also won't refund you your money no matter the situation. Don't expect him to uphold any promise he makes to you. It's a lie and he'll just do what he wants. He'll also keep people in the house who cause a lot of drama and severely disturb the peace and steal people's food. I ended up getting blamed for someone eating someone else's food. This place is the epitome of you get what you pay for. Spend a little extra money and book somewhere else. Also 2 of the 5 star reviewers work for him and I'm sure he's paid some of the other reviewers on here. It's like him to do something like that. EDIT: there he goes lying in the comments. I really loved this hostel. I stayed for 2 nights. As a single female, I felt 100% safe staying here. The men were very respectful and everyone was friendly and welcoming. It had a community vibe to it.

Staying here, you have to keep in mind that you’re paying the bare minimum. If you expect this place to be like a 5 star hotel… go stay at one.

I booked this place before reading the google reviews. I honestly was mortified and expected the worst after reading them. But it helped me arrive prepared so… bring flip flops or slippers for the showers. Bring your own toiletries. Bring water to drink. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

My only complaint that’s beyond the hosts’ control is the location. There’s literally nothing to do there. But, there’s a bus you can take that’ll drop you off at the red line, and that’ll take you straight to Downtown. So at least that is...

I don’t really have a huge expectation when I’m choosing places under $20 but I have never stay in such a terrible place like before. There’s literally nothing good that I could say about this property. The room and the bathroom was extremely dirty. It wasn’t even because of other people mess. the toilet looks like it wasn’t clean in a few months. I didn’t get a towel, the bed didn’t have a bed sheets and blanket that I supposed to sleep under smelled disgusting. I wouldn’t even call it a hostel. I think it’s a more of a place for people who cannot afford housing and staying there long term. I didn’t feel comfortable and safe there. That was a terrible experience. I don’t recommend it to anyone I would rather sleep under the bridge then go back...
