I would like to add that I came from San Bernardino with my boyfriend to stay in this room so we can explore the bars on the beach and so we did and when we returned and came in straight to take a shower, I had management named Greg banging on our door. I come out answer the door and Greg is going off on me, saying that we are having noise complaints from other rooms when in fact, me and my boyfriend have not made any noise because we checked in and left 20 min in to start our night and right away explored the bars by the beach and once our night came to an end at 1:30 AM we took a Uber back to our hotel room & jumped in the shower. We got alarmed by management Greg banging on our door, saying that people are complaining and his professionalism was out the window because he did not address the situation like he should have like a person in authority. Greg based off what he heard from other rooms and as he should do his job instead of addressing us professionally and asking us if we were in fact, making noise or fighting with each other to let him know what was happening, he just yelled at me at my door and when I said OK he proceeded to roll his eyes at me and just walk away and go back into his office. I find this very disrespectful because we came in with full respect to everyone as we always do and if we did in fact, make too much noise I would have very much appreciated to be addressed in a nice calm manner instead of how we were approached, and now I feel very uncomfortable in my room. I will not be staying at this hotel again and I will make sure that my friends and family do not stay here as well because I do know how to respect people and respect the places that I stay in and the way that this person that is running this hotel approached me is not professional and it’s not OK and it’s not humane. Greg made me feel very unsafe to be in my room and to feel like I cannot come outside my room without being watched or being judged...
Read moreBlocks from the beach , the hotel is clean. At the front desk the best hospitality you will receive are from Matthew and Mark others need to learn quite a bit of hospitality NOT be dismissive. Show understanding , and be polite in doing so. Showing ownership for a problem or issue at a hotel or in most customer service industry’s should be force of habit. Comes naturally. (you may not even mean it )maybe the room is missing an amenities or something is broken etc rather than empty excuses as a response that dismisses your guests request. Good customer service in a hospitality setting would be simply to say “ I understand what your saying“ or “let me look into that for you” or “thank you for letting me know” these are all open ended replies that actually can be comforting and put a guest at ease.
The area is fine . The Beach isn’t far. Not a walkable area. Bch blvd is a busy busy 6 lane thoroughfare but All your needs are within a block or so in either direction. Parking here is free and vast. So that’s a huge plus. Markets like Albertsons, Mothers Market, and loads of and restaurants. CVS, Target, salons. 5 points shopping center is a few blocks away. Trader Josie’s , gap , gap kids, vans, Loft, big5 and many more are there. Very Near the 22 and 405 . Good location for pleasure or business travel Some miner easy fixes in rooms I’ve stayed in that could easily be taken care in minutes. There is No water pressure, meh pillows, no blanket🤔 There is a large kindergarten school next door the squeals and a loud playground take some getting used. I live double pane windows!
But all in all it’s the layout of the room (3rd floor) that work for me , comfortable bed, large window lots of natural light , and the house keeping staff is phenomenal and the some front desk folks are a huge plus . I’m rebooking so I’ve adapted.
I’m a problem solver so I like to fix things immediately in...
Read moreMy husband and I chose this place for our weekend getaway but I wouldn't return. The renovations to the rooms are very nice and the bed was actually comfortable, and the pillows weren't horrible (even though we bring our own), but the other situations we faced made for a far less than ideal stay.
One was that no matter what time of day I showered the hot water cut out completely after 3 minutes and then the water pressure would fall off only to come back most of the way right before the end of the shower.
Second, we were offered to stay at the far end of the property on the premise that it would be "quieter" for the 3 nights we were staying. How I wish that were true. Instead they put us right between 2 or 3 other families who were traveling together and their brats were yelling down to their friends/cousins(?) from the walkway landing and running back and forth non-stop between rooms for hours. Kids were well old enough to know better and have some manners but the parents didn't do anything about their kids constantly running/yelling past other people's rooms.
Additionally, I don't know if they were working on the property (for renovations) or staying there but there were at least 2 or 3 guys with their missing catalytic converter ear splitting exhaust modifications on their stupid cars that literally shook the windows when they started the engines. Do they pull out and go right away like normal people? No. They let them sit and rumble while they chat back and forth. The entire area smells like swarm of 2 stroke engines was running for hours the fumes were so strong.
Lastly, if that wasn't enough, we counted about 8 ambulances a day roaring up and down Beach Blvd. all day and night. The traffic on that road is already bad to not add this noise as well. Change the name of the place to 'Noise Central' and at least you know what...
