El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

I don't generally post on these reviews , but this is something to be aware of. If I could give this establishment, a NEGATIVE 10 !!! I definitely WOULD . We purchased dinner here, a burrito, and 2 taco salads. Out of the 3 dinners. Two of us became very, very ill. We ask our elderly mother to not anymore of her salad. The burrito looked like it had HAND SANITIZER in it (dripped out of the burrito)... And the shells with our taco salads were very old ( soft and unable to eat them ). Bad taste... What's sad there was not any reason 🤔 for this type of service ..never a reason but this was uncalled for ( no disagreement with staff ) Very courteous to them thru the whole ordering and expirence.. I called to speak to a Manager just to explain our experience..The employees played on the phone. One pretended to be a manager, he was talking to me and he put the phone down laughing and walked away and you could hear him and a young lady laughing. She picked up the phone and said he had to handle something else... But she ask me what happened I explained it to her .left my phone number and she said she would have the Owner call me.. No calls as of yet and it has been a couple of weeks...I don't want to say all the staff are terrible but there definitely some very immature employees working here...Sad we had to expirence their immature ways becoming very very sick with their...

We used this location's catering services for a surprise 60th birthday party that was being held at Huntington Beach State Park Brookhurst Berm Ramadas. Leo went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and more than 40 party goers were not only well fed, but also very impressed with the delivery, presentation, and amount of food provided. We did not know ahead of time that the State was going to close two of the three entrances to the parking area on the day of our event (which was also Fathers' Day Weekend), making it very challenging for everyone involved to reach our location, and especially challenging for the catering delivery driver; however, she was in constant contact with me to ensure they could find us and successfully delivery the catering order on time. Our surprise party was a huge success largely because Leo and his team took on the stress of the food. I would recommend this catering service...

I like El Pollo Loco and I go pretty regularly. But I was disappointed when for the second straight time my order got screwed up. The first time I was like hey, mistakes happen so I just let it slide. After the second time I thought I should call to let them know. I spoke to Bernice (sp?) who was very kind. She went and checked my order and came back and said Yeah they new they forgot the fork and the dressing for your salad. Not Gee were sorry but Yeah we knew we forgot it we can replace your salad but that's all. First of all this isn't like they forgot the salsa or some condiment. Its the fork to eat it and the salad dressing! You ever eat salad without dressing? I've eaten a burrito with salsa but salad without dressing ??? Not so much. That's ... well, just Lettuce!!
