This was our first time visiting Feteer Guys, so we decided to keep it simple and go for what they’re best known for. We got the Egyptian Mixed Cheese and the Halal Beef Soujok Kiri pies.
Let me just say... hands down, one of the most flavorful, unique pies we’ve ever had!
The moment the food arrived, the aroma hit us like a warm hug! It was like perfume for your stomach and dopamine for your brain. The scent of that melted cheese and spice blend had our mouths watering before we even took a bite.
Unlike a traditional style pie/pizza, this is something entirely different, and in my opinion, better in its own way. The base has this incredible, light flakiness almost like a pastry, layered with a thin crust that has just the right texture. It’s crispy, buttery, and gives way perfectly to the rich, gooey cheese and tender spiced beef. Every bite was like a symphony of textures and flavors.
No joke, I caught myself making those involuntary happy food sounds! You know the ones...
What made it even better was the service. This is a family owned business, and you can feel the love they put into both the food and how they treat their guests. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely proud of what they’re serving; and rightfully so!
I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu... the sweet crepes and other pies looked amazing!
If you’re in the area, or even remotely close, do yourself (and your taste buds) a favor and stop by. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning...
Read moreFood was good, nothing spectacular though. The savory pizzas could use some sort of sauce on the side. Something like a toum would be great.
Service was kinda bizarre. Don’t want to give too much info out but it was during a slow time. I guess come here during lunch and dinner times for best service?
No ac, it was at least 80 degrees inside.
Worth it to try out once, but I don’t think it’s anything spectacular.
Edit: alright since some time has passed I will let you guys know what this bizarre experience was. I came in all by myself with a phone order for one shawarma pizza. I came in after the ETA given but still had to wait 10-15 minutes extra. I was the only customer so I was like whatever maybe there was a mistake…
When paying for it with cash, the register “jammed” and it took the owner a while to “fix” which he didn’t really do until I just looked in my wallet and gave him exact change. Mind you, we were the only ones in the store just me and him. I have literally never seen a register jam like that before in my years of shopping… He did not even make a real effort to unjam it either by using force. I am going to guess he was wanting me to just say keep the change or something like that. Y’all are gonna be a newer business and have cash registers that Jam like that?
Be careful of these types of ethnic people who act all innocent but pull these gypsy level scams. He also gave me a container of mixed pickles with a defective lid… pickles tasted...
Read moreEgyptian food here: they serve pies filled with cheeses meats and vegis. Spicy pickles clear the pallet or a suggested tangerine drink will also allow you to taste the shawarma spices fully in that pie choice. You'll smell buttery pasty when you walk in and that gets your pallette ready. They have a crepe maker in the front. I found so many new items to experience, I felt like I traveled far away or they brought homeland food to us. I needed to go back, I should probably bring a friend, boy what a delicious fun casual experience! I love the experience of small family run places sharing with love!
Everything is made fresh takes a little time but worth the time to cook fresh and hot. The items are freshly made and with a smile. While you wait take your time to study menu, watch the chef prepare to go items, ask questions and decide what to order the next time. I was lucky to meet the chef and his family sharing their evening together. They had their chocolate desert that was so sticky and tasty. Over all this was an unusual experience for me and I loved it! I watched an interesting process of pressing sugarcane to make a drink which was also very refreshing not as sweet as you'd imagine.
Their handicap accessibility is nice, the family size tables & end spots work well for...
