Lido Hotel — Hotel in Huntington Park

In a nutshell- room was clean but very small, with only very basic necessities provided (read on). Hotel seemed outdated and I felt it was overpriced for what it was ($73.50/night for two standard beds). I have stayed in much nicer hotels for the same price!!!||||THE GOOD:||Room was clean, beds were decently comfortable, flat screen t.v. with cable, air conditioning worked well, we were offered housekeeping service every other day, housekeeper was very nice. Towels, soap, shampoo packets, and cups for water were provided.||||THE BAD (HOTEL):||The hotel was a little, shall we say, ghetto! Dirt lot for a parking lot, and at one point I saw bedding hanging over the fence between the parking lot and alley to dry. The area was a little shady (but, hey, that's most of LA). Metal room keys instead of key cards. No lobby whatsoever. There was only a window in the hallway for the office, and the window for the office was completely covered in a very dark tint with only a small hole at the bottom for passing papers back and forth. You could not see into it, which I found to be very strange and a little creepy, since you had to walk past it each time you entered or exited the hotel. ||||THE BAD (ROOM):||Some of the windows in our room were missing the screens (on the second floor, not safe for little kids!) The room was very small (very crowded for 4 people + luggage), there would be no room for a cot or a crib. Tiny shower (no tub), tiny sink (absolutely no counter space). I was never able to connect to the free Wi-Fi. The room was missing basic amenities like hairdryer, safe, and coffeemaker, etc.||||And there...

I was very disappointed and upset when i stayed here. This place is dirty smelly and they have rude staff. If i could put no stars i would because it was overpriced and two the room was small and dirty. Plus when it was time to check out the guy would keep coming to my door knocking are you gonna leave..you guys need to get out its check out time and we were in the process of moving our stuff out and he was just being rude impatient and trying to manipulate me and my child while my fiance was downstairs putting the stuff away. But I would never let that happen, I just feel like they need better staff members who are mature well mannered and have respect for other people and they also need a different janitor cleaning the rooms because the one they have doesn't change out the blanket or wash any of the blankets and towels. Not to mention it smells like mold right when you walk in the room, and the pills smell like s* so I had to use my own towels blankets and pillows. When you go to the restroom there is a fan in there where you can see through the outside and mosquitoes and bugs were coming in through there and my child got bit and had a allergic reaction to the mosquitoes. There's also rat feces in the closet and the bed had blood stains and so did the shower I did not feel comfortable at all I will not be returning. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody this has been the worst experience for me and my family, they are ridiculous and very unprofessional rude and...

I have had these hotel reservations for well over 6 months. I arrived to the hotel early because we were going to a concert and asked the front desk if it was possible to park here and Uber to our concert, and then we can check in at night after we get back. The guy at the front desk told me check in wasn’t until 3pm but he could go ahead and set us up in our room early! That way when we get back late, we can go straight to our room! Okay cool…. Then he hands me 3 receipts and informs me he “forgot to do the night audit, so he charged me for the room, then refunded me, then charged me AGAIN!” It’s the holidays and I’m on a budget! That refund won’t go back into my account for 3 business days!! Then he informs me that there is a $50 cash deposit. We pay the charges and go on our way. That night we get back from the concert and first thing we notice is a stain on our bed. Luckily we brought our own blankets. Then we turn the TV on and none of the channels would work and the lady at the front desk played dumb and said she couldn’t fix it. Whatever, it’s late let’s just go to bed. Using the bathroom In the morning I notice how DISGUSTING it is! Toothpaste spit all over the sink, black mold all over the shower curtains and tub, I am super allergic to dust and I woke up and I could hardly breathe I am so congested! Further inspection I see the whole place is covered in dust!! When we went to check out they tried to pull a fast one and only give us $25 back for our $50...
