Santa Fe Inn — Hotel in Huntington Park

You get what you pay for. BEWARE of the fake 4 and 5 star reviews. I even read a fake review about a wedding being held there. There is no way a wedding could be held here nor would anyone want to hold a wedding here. Anyone who has had the unfortunate choice of choosing this place as a budget choice can verify its truly a 2 star motel. 1 star for price I got through hot wire. 1 star for service.

Pros:

Front desk check in and check out staff were friendly and efficient.

Had a microwave in room. (Didn't use)

Fridge in room worked

Vending machine prices

Cons:

100 dollar cash deposit not listed online

Cigarette burns in comforter

Missing light bulbs in lights

Burnt out bulbs in lights

No hangers in closet

No telephone in room

Uneven pillows (2 short bulky pillows and 1 full flat pillow)

Broken window screen falling off the frame.

Same window screen had huge holes in it.

Fire alarm/smoke detector had a shower cap wrapped around from previous person so they could smoke.

Used toilet paper roll that was 95% used

Toilet paper holder in wall not screwed into wall and slid out the wall while I tried to replace toilet paper

In shower shelf was broken with sharp edges protruding

Extremely thin walls, you can hear ppl shutting doors and talking in normal voices pretty well.

Not the best neighborhood

Bed was OK comfort wise 4 out of 10

Someone booked a room for a couple hours only ahead of us. Hmmm ??

Parking was okay. Be lucky enough to park in the area inside the complex.

No room safe. But I wouldn't use it even if there had been one.

Did not see if there was breakfast - probably would have skipped even if there was due to sanitation concerns

Final thoughts:

You'd be safer sleeping a sleeping bag , I'm surprised I didn't get bed bugs! I did not see roaches in my room, but I wouldn't have been surprised to.

I'd Def book again to show ppl how NOT maintain a room in the industry.

Santa Fe and was a it's a nice place all right had plenty of parking it was quiet all the people that was there the residents or the people that were visiting there were polite if I had to I would go there again in the office was clean the rooms are pretty clean as well unfortunately I did not take any pictures for some reason I keep forgetting to take pictures because I just be in my own little world because they be the rules be clean there's nothing really too complain about but they should state all of their rules and regulations online and for pets they should also state that you have to pay so much money per day for your pets to be there don't wake your people get there and then you hit him with this boomerang about of this piece should already be printed out so when people see them they already know what to expect when they get there and a lot of motels forget to post their security deposit and some of the security deposits is outrageous but us as the ones that go to these places we have to let them know that so that we can change some of these things to make it convenient for them and make it convenient for us as the ones that are renting these rooms on our vacations or on our travels make it easier cuz we're not all made of money but other than that it was a pretty decent place and like I said I will go there again if I had to there's a lot of eating places around there the freeway isn't that far so you can travel so everything's in your area you have a IHOP next door so you know it's pretty convenient gas stations is right around...

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. A brief overview||||IT IS NOWHERE NEAR LA LIVE!||YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN WAIVERS AGAINST THEFT FROM YOUR ROOM AND NOT BEING ABLE TO CLAIM ANY MONEY BACK EVEN IF YOU DONT STAY ONE NIGHT!!||NO LIFT OR OFFER OF HELP WITH BAGS/SUITCASES.||ATTITUDE OF STAFF WAS APPALLING, VERY RUDE AND DISMISSIVE.||DOOR TO ROOM DID NOT LOCK AND THERE WAS NO SAFE (HENCE THE WAIVER FORM)||ROOM WAS DATED, DARK AND FILTHY. GRAFFITI ON FURNITURE, BEDDING THAT LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE ELSE HAD ALREADY SLEPT IN IT AND THE MOST VILE BATHROOM.||||I stayed in this hotel for less than an hour, I booked another one and left. I am aware I was fortunate being able to do this, and when I handed my key back and said the room was poor and not fit for purpose they laughed! As I had already signed the waiver (not being allowed my key until I did) there was nothing I could do with them. When I returned home, I took this up with my holiday agent, the hotel claimed I never complained and stayed there for the duration of my stay, luckily we had a hotel bill to prove otherwise.
