I just want everybody to know this hotel has an awesome reputation for taking care of their guests. The rooms are above and accomadatable. The breakfast is awesome as always. The hotels are always maintained with such quality and pristine attributes. When making a reservation please make sure you go through the hotel to make a reservation. They are above and beyond qualified was such articulate attitude that exemplify greatness But as for reservations please I am doing you a favor never deal with them never talk to them on the phone never communicate with them at all whatsoever at any time any day anywhere Reservations is horrendous. It's a daily nightmare. They will cause you to cancel your reservation in the hotel but it's not the hotels for fault why you cancel it'll be reservations for why you cancel. I don't know how these people got a job in reservations and I don't care. But they should not even be working there because they don't know how to do their job and they don't know how to listen and they don't know how to be productive and they don't know how to honor with somebody is saying to them and any requests being made their of. These reservation people need to be and removed if they're not. Yesterday and today was an example of total and unnecessary stress anxiety frustration and disgustingness. Unfortunately this is my first bad experience and I hope I never go through this again but I will not deal with reservations now or in the future and I suggest you do the same because if you don't too much grief will be put on you that you don't need and it'll be the fault of reservations. I guarantee you corporate is going to hear about this. It's only going to be the reservation that gets in trouble not the hotel. I do want to emphasize that Drury inns are very well organized and you take care of their customers extremely well I thank them for that and I hope down the road this situation will be taken care with the appropriate people and the appropriate measures. Read moreHotel is in fantastic condition and the staff are very polite. Breakfast and evening cocktail reception were terrific as well. Normally I would have given this hotel a 4-star (above average) or 5-star (excellent) rating. However, I am perturbed by some events that occurred the first morning of my stay.
I was awakened by several loud noises and voices outside my room. Shortly thereafter it got to the point where it sounded like stuff was being actively demolished outside of my room. Sure enough, I open my door and there is literally someone inches from my door ripping up carpet, scraping glue off of the floor, tearing up the carpet thresholds, and there were several other workers up and down the hallway actively doing the same thing. There was absolutely no warning online or at check in about any such construction or demo.
After asking the worker to move so I could leave my room, I went downstairs and asked the clerk how long I could expect this construction to occur and she literally had no idea what I was talking about because no one had told her either. She called someone in maintenance on her radio and we were both informed it would be all day. Because I was actually intending to work in my room during the day, I was forced to relocate to another floor that wasn't having its hallway torn up. By the time I got back up to my original room to get my bags out, there was so much debris and rolls of carpet everywhere, and worker is still right outside my door scraping and hammering away.
It is my understanding this is a fairly new hotel and I don't think this experience will turn me away from giving it a second chance in the future, but clearly someone dropped the ball regarding informing guests and front desk staff about the planned...
Read moreBest Place to stay in Huntsville Alabama! Travel to visit family we decided to try the Drury Inn and it had all the standards you expect from a hotel. Clean rooms, great indoor pool, easy parking and swift check in. But this hotel really surprised me with the friendliness of the staff. The young man checking us in was so upbeat and you can tell he loved his job and was proud of this hotel. I came down later to use the in door pool and really needed a cup of coffee. I ask Liz at the desk and she walked me over to the refreshment center where she had just made fresh really Good coffee! At 5:30 pm the hotel had a “kick back” event cocktails and a lite buffet. Kelvin and Tina were the staff on duty that night and they were so warm and friendly making sure that we had everything we needed. Part of my family members came by and we needed a larger table as a young man Kyle walked up and ask us if we needed anything we asked for a larger table and instead of asking someone else to clean one up he grabs a spray bottle and cloth and did it himself. From his appearance that did not seem to be his job but upon me asking he took ownership and made it his job! Now that is customer service!! Next morning Kelvin and Tina were serving Breakfast again even wearing their protective mask you could see their smiles and they were so Friendly!! We could have stayed at any hotel but we decided this was the hotel that we are going to use when visiting Huntsville in the future-the Staff is really what made this...
