Everything was good until the fire alarms started going off. The fire alarms in the rooms are extremely loud, almost 100db. I went down the hall, no indication of a fire so I called the front desk. A man answer and said, âfalse alarmâ and hung up. I called from my cell, not my room so I could have been anybody calling, he assumed I was in the building. The alarms went for about 10 minutes and stopped. About 30 minutes later, the went off again. I immediately ca;led from my room, the same mans answered and said, âfalse alarmâ, and hung up. I went out to the hall and a few customers were leaving with their luggage. The alarms went about 15 minutes, they were so loud I had to leave the room with my noise canceling headphones on. Long story short, this happened 6 more times, always with a 20-30 min break in between alarms!. The 3rd time after I was hung up on again!, I went down to the front desk to ask what was going on. The guy hanging up on everybody was extremely rude and confrontational, not a person who should be in the hospitality industry. He finally answered after me having to nasty like him and said, âwe donât know, the keep going off!â, I said , no kidding, what is be done about it?, host of the year said, âsomeone is coming to take a look at it!â. I said, how long will that be?, The guy said nothing, just shrugged his shoulders. I walked away, back to the room. Several people were getting off the elevator with luggage, I said, you folks leaving, they said yes, one guy said he would be deaf if he stayed any longer.. Alarms went off 3 more times, every tome was longer than the previous time , the last one was almost an hour. I was going to check out if it happened a 7th time, it didnât. Also, on a side note, the internet speed is terrible, sometimes it doesnât...
Read moreAfter traveling all day to work at Redstone Arsenal the following two weeks. I booked under the government rate which I did a month ago with no issues. Given they did not check my CAC card that time. This time around they ask for my id. I showed the young lady my CAC card which then she goes to say my card is not valid because it says contractor. Valid CAC card which Iâve used to show other hotels as proof to use government rate. She was rude and started using a negative tone of voice. I asked to speak with the manager and she said I am the manager. She was just the desk manager but didnât argue knowing I was not going to get anywhere. I was very frustrated but kept calm. Could not believe what was happening because Iâve never encountered that issue before. Thankfully I was able to find another hotel and did not have any issues with the government rate. If you are planning a TDY trip stay...
Read moreI encountered significant issues with the booking process at this Hilton property. Despite booking under a state rate for work purposes, the hotel refused to honor the agreed price. When I called to resolve the issue, I spoke with Marco, who was unhelpful and refused to accommodate the rate I had booked. The website was unclear about their policy, which apparently only accepts federal government rates.
To make matters worse, Marco refused to provide his last name when I requested it and abruptly hung up on me. This level of service is far below what I expect from Hilton.
In an attempt to resolve the matter further, I called back and spoke with a front desk agent, who also refused to provide her contact number and hung up on me.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK!...
