Me and my 16 year old daughter went in to ask for a to go menu. We were directed to the to go counter to get the to go menu. The young lady at the counter suggested that we look at the restaurant menu in order to have a better variety of food options. We sat down at a table at our own choosing and decided on the food choices. We went back to the to go counter and I told the young lady that we decided to eat inside of the restaurant, but we would like to have our order put in a to go container due to the fact that it was about to start raining and storming severely in the next few minutes. The young lady rudely told us that we had to go outside to the patio because we asked for the to go container. I told her that I was going to go back to the hostess desk and ask to be seated inside of the restaurant due to the oncoming severe weather. We were seated by a very nice waitress and we were the only people in our area of the restaurant for at least 5 minutes. I decided to walk outside to move my car closer to the restaurant because I didn’t want us to get caught in the weather on our way out. Before I made it back into the restaurant, my daughter called me and told me that someone came to bring our food order and demanded that we leave the restaurant due to our food being in a carry out container. I went back in and asked to speak with the manager. The hostess told me to follow a waitress to go find the manager. She led me to the bar area as she walked into a door beside the bar. She walked back out towards the bar and rudely walked past me without informing me about the manager. She just left me standing there. I decided to go back to the table where we were seated and wait with my daughter. I realized that our food was getting cold , so I walked back to the to go counter to ask where the lady was at that went to find the manager. I found the young lady that took our order, the lady that went to get the manager and the manager discussing our situation. I asked the lady if she were able to locate her manager and she rudely said yes she is right here. The manager asked me if she could help me? I said yes, will you please come to my table and speak with me because it’s a lot of customers sitting here and I don’t want to interrupt their dinner. The manager came to our table and I asked her why did someone demand to my daughter that we leave? The manager said that it’s company policy that if a customer orders a carry out order, the customer has to leave immediately. I asked the manager for the corporate office number and she volunteered to give me the store manager’s number also. I asked her to write her name down and she refused. I told her to refund our money because our food was cold and we were being put out of the restaurant after being seated by the hostess and a nice waitress. On top of everything it was storming really bad outside!! I also noticed that we were the only black customers all except for two other black customers that were not together and they both were sitting with white customers. I feel that we were treated like we didn’t belong in the atmosphere and I feel that they taught my daughter a lesson about racism being released out of the closet in 2023!! I know that they knew that they were wrong because they were quick to refund our money and allowed us to keep our food. They were young bold racist white womenfolk!! It’s a sad situation when racism still exists in the young generation! I’m glad my daughter knows to never expect...
Read moreWe had ordered the BBQ pizza. It was okay but not fantastic. A local pizzeria, Sam and Greg's, on Hughes Road has a much better BBQ pizza. We also ordered a 1/2 order of chicken wings (5 count). They were just okay. The hot sauce had an odd sweetness to it and the wings were small and soggy and not crispy at all. They taste just like they came from the freezer. Our daughter ordered a small one topping pepperoni pizza. The waitress asked what kind of sauce and cheese and she picked the white cheddar for the cheese part and for her one topping it was pepperoni. The check came and it listed two topping. The waitress said that the white cheddar was an upcharge of $2. One thing the menu does not state an upcharge and another thing a good server would mention the uncharge upfront. The pepperoni pizza was nothing special. A small pepperoni pizza for $13.99 is too steep for a mediocre pizza. Marcos medium one topping for $7.99 tastes better and is less expensive. We also ordered a 1/2 order of pretzels (3 small) for $6.99 which came with plain regular mustard like French's brand and I asked if we could have beer cheese like the pretzel bites have instead and she said could do that. Again, another uncharged of $2.99 with no mention of an uncharge. The bill came out to be around $72 for 3 people. I wasn't impressed. It had been a while since we've been there and I now remember the reason. It's just overrated chain with mediocre food with slow and inattentive service. I won't be going back. If I want good pizza I'll go to Sam and...
Read moreWe've had a great experience here and a not so great. Our first visit about a month ago all went well and the pizza was great. It was a busy night but our pizzas came out perfect and service was spot on.
Our most recent visit was a bit different. It wasn't as busy, so we were seated quickly (awesome), however our server was awful. I asked him about a possible custom item (olive oil on a gluten free crust to create bread sticks) and he just kind of blew us off rather than checking to see if it could be done. Instead of checking back about our potential bar drink order (after we asked for a minute) we had to flag him down. I asked for sun-dried tomatoes on my pizza and they came out looking like someone had cut fresh tomato wedges and put them on the pizza (and tasted the same). Another guy (manager?) came over and said those were their new sundried tomatoes. Ummmkay? They made me a fresh pizza without them.
The real kicker was when we asked for boxes. I had a piece of my pizza in the box before I noticed what looked like hairs all over the inside of the box. It looked like whoever had put the boxes together had just gotten a fresh haircut or trimmed their beard over this box. When the server came back by I asked him for a new box for my remaining piece and tried to show him. He didn't even look just brought me a new box. So I lost 1/4 of my pizza. Basically the whole night it was like Noone cared. Never an apology for anything just apathy. It was a very disappointing experience and I doubt we'll have any desire to go back...
