I almost hate to give such a positive review and blow the cover on the little piece of heaven we found at Idyllcove during our stay, but we can't go every weekend, so here's our report. We arrived and found a charming A-frame cabin, perfectly clean, very new, and equipped with a new outdoor hot tub on a cold night in November. The temperature dropped to 35 degrees the first night of our stay, and we spend hours outside de-stressing in the steaming tub under the night stars. It was incredibly refreshing to say the least. We cooked like crazy during our stay, and Kelly has the kitchen stocked with everything you could hope for, a total plus. Tons of silky warm blankets are stashed around the house, the sheep skin rug and wood burning stove kept us warm inside. We came with our own wood because we missed the detail about the stockpile next to the house, but the fee per night is better than buying your own in town, so I'd recommend that. We spent our first day strolling around town, which is quite charming, but always looked forward to going back 'home' to the cabin, getting int he hot tub, and simply had one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time due to the wonderful ambiance of the space. There is a lot of wonderful hiking very close by, and next time we go we'll likely try our hand at the several fishing options in and near Idllywild. The super clean mountain air at 6000 ft elevation, starry skies, and deer in the back yard on our first morning all soothed the body and spirit. Also, so close to LA! It's a wonder that Idllywild isn't more well known to us city dwellers. A++ experience. The price is a little high compared to other rentals in the area, but we thought the design and feel of the place generally justified the cost. Will...
Read moreWe've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in Idyllwild, which means staying in quite a few different vacation cabins in the area. Idyllcove is by far our all-time favorite. It's close to center town (less than a 5 minute drive), but still in a quite little peaceful street. The property is enclosed with a full fence around the backyard, which is PERFECT if you're here with a pet. The cabin even has a doggy door to make everything so easy. And on top of the classic A-frame, there's a hot tub and a BBQ. In other words, if you don't want to, there's absolutely no reason to leave this little slice of heaven. Kelly is always super responsive and you can tell how much love and care has been put into this home. The entry is keyless, which makes checking-in and out very easy. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. The kitchen is pretty stocked and the loft upstairs is such a cozy space. It's something you have to experience to...
Read moreSuch a wonderful experience! Me and a buddy wanted a cabin close to the San Jacinto Peak trailhead and this couldn't have been better. The keyless entry is so perfect, we were a little late arriving from LA, so the fact that we could let ourselves in was great. After such a long hike, the hottub was an absolute life safer! The cabin itself is gorgeous, clean, comfy, cozy, with everything you could possibly need. The netflix ready smart TV's with surround sound is a really cool added bonus. The fact that the city center is so close is a huge plus as well. You can walk to the best places in town anyway, "Ideology" and "Aroma Cafe" are both awesome (I would also recommend Idyllwild Brewpub. Kelly was amazing with how accessible she was, email and txt responses were...
