The Creekstone — Hotel in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

So I’m going to give them a 5 out of 5, but let me explain. My wife went to Idylwild to escape and enjoy nature. Before checking my wife and I went on a long hike and we were exhausted. We were given the room and coffee to get in prior to checkin. We got to the room and it was not yet cleaned, I was beside myself. I called the number that I was texted the information and Angel answered right away. I told him that our room wasn’t yet cleaned and he apologized profusely and said he’d be there in 2 minutes. He was there in 2 minutes and said he would personally clean the room and it would be ready in 20 minutes. It was an honest mix up and they didn’t have the room on the list for that day. I don’t believe it happens often or ever before. Angel cleaned our room and brought us a 6 pack of beer because we were exhausted, hot, and just wanted a beer. I think he gave it to us from his own stash! We finally got into our room, nice and clean, the room and the hotel were very charming! We’re thinking of hosting our Grandmothers 100 Birthday there! Great place, great service, friendly staff! Definitely...

Very pleasant stay, but management needs to rethink cleaning fees. I read ahead of time that they will charge for stained linens and was very careful with towels and whatnot. Apparently, my boyfriend spilled some wine on our sheets when it dripped off a small spill on the nightstand. I had no idea it even occurred until I received an email from the hotel telling me they would try and remove the stains and limit charges, however an invoice for cleaning was sent simultaneously. I tried to call management to come up with a compromise, since I enjoyed my stay and had intended to return, but was told that they wouldn't speak with me and that there policy was as stated. So yeah, a one and done for me and I will find other accommodations if we return. I should have taken the other reviews more seriously, since the stay was not worth an additional $100 charge. It was good and worth no more than $165. Small rooms, cute decor, but no where near $265 plus tax when a minor accident...
