It was just ok. The jury is still out on whether or not we would return. Our floor was pretty loud at all hours of the day/night and we had hair leftover from the previous guests on our bathroom shower.
DATE OF STAY: July 4th weekend 2021 FLOOR/ROOM: 2nd floor (about 5 rooms down from the elevators); the floor with the fitness center and pool
NOISE: The noise woke me up out of my sleep on Friday night at about midnight. We unfortunately, were next to a room of girls that were friends with girls staying across the hallway. So, they were walking back-and-forth and the sound of the doors opening and shutting is rather loud, plus the voices just carried. The second night, I thought was better, except my husband woke up this night - I think with the fitness center and pool on our floor, there was just a large amount of activity on our floor. We were not that close to the pool, so I thought it would be ok, but I if you want to sleep, I suggest trying a different floor. Note: it was also a holiday weekend, so maybe busier than normal
CLEANING: As above, there were a few hairs stuck to the wall of the shower when we first entered, and was still there after 2 nights (I do recognize that there is not "deep cleaning" between night for the same guests staying, but still gross. Everything else seemed to be pretty clean
LIGHTING: I will agree with another review written that the lights in this place are PRETTY dim. Especially in certain parts of the room it was not great.
REFRIGERATOR: They had a fridge/freezer combo that looked fancy but didn't really keep things all that cool. It was cool enough, but the ice packs I brought were not ice packs by the time we left. This could possibly be user error and as we only stayed 2 nights and didn't spend much time in the room, I didn't follow-up with instructions.
ICE MACHINE: Never had enough ice. We tried twice during our stay and the first time it produced NO ice, the second time I got enough for maybe a 4 oz bottle. It is also a crushed ice machine and for us traveling back to Arizona this was a bit of a disadvantage. Also, the spout of the ice machine had some type of dark substance on it that was there for the

Room Amenities: Safe-Typical safe Coffee Machine- Typical, nothing special and the presentation did not look appealing. I did not try the coffee as it was not even placed close to an outlet. TV- Good size and resolution. Good channel selection and online TV offering. Work space: good selection of outlet form factors: 1x ethernet 2x USBs 1x power outlet Fridge – with 2 complimentary water bottles and two glasses. Bottles never got refilled by housekeeping.
Room Comfort My particular room was an average size with a couch that had pull out bed. The couch was not comfortable. It reminded me of the type and quality of a couch that you get at ikea. A coffee table in the room was a plus, however the room was not business traveler oriented. It lacked small things like a small coffee table to put your laptop on, or a comfortable office chair at the desk to work for a few hours.
Bed- comfortable (personal taste)- It was comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. Good quality pillows.
Room Noise level This is bar far the worst part of my experience. My room was on the 6th floor (6 story building) and facing the shopping center. Please note that the hotel is located next to a LA Fitness branch which means people driving there at 5 am. There are also several restaurants in the shopping center that draw a crowd. Overall, the surrounding of the hotel is very busy which means lots of cars, bikes, and loud exhaust. The biggest issue is that the rooms and the windows don’t have any sound insulation. It felt like the windows are made of paper and the walls are tin cans. During my 2-night stay, I could hear the person in the room next to me walking, going to bed, and snoring. I could also hear people from the restaurants on the first floor talking and laughing. Remember, I was staying on the 6th floor. The worst part was the cars. During the day and most of the night, I literally felt like I was sitting in the middle of the road.
Property Amenities I did not use the Gym. They have a couple conference rooms with video collaboration devices. The lobby was nice and had plenty of seating. They also had a long table which made it great if you needed to sit down and get some work done. A big screen TV in the lobby was a plus.
Property Restaurants This property does not have an onsite restaurant. There is a bar that serves appetizer/tapas style food with a limited menu. Drinks are good, but they don’t have coffee. The bartender was nice enough to make me an espresso shot.
Parking Self-parking or valet. I valeted my car on both nights. The valet staff were great. They were fast and very respectful.
Staff This is the best part of this hotel. Every one of the staff members that I came in contact with was very nice, accommodating and helpful.
Value This was a business travel which was paid by my work. But even based on the company negotiated rate, this hotel is not worth the nightly rate.
Recommendations Skip the breakfast unless you like European style, room temp breakfast. There is a Peet’s coffee 2 miles away. Puesto restaurant next to the hotel is okay. North Italia restaurant across the...
Read moreIt was a “Bucket List” of mine to see a game in The Coliseum. ASU was playing USC on 10/27/18 and my cousin gave me his tickets a few days before the game. I live in Phoenix and am an ASU alum.
I started looking for hotels relatively close to the game immediately. I looked extensively for two days and had little luck as that was the World Series weekend and there was a big concert going on in Huntington Beach. Everything was booked, expensive or didn’t take my 120 pound black lab. I almost gave up, until I checked AC Irvine
My stay was from 10/26-10/28 and I can not express how accommodating and friendly every staff member was during my stay from check-in to check-out.
Every time I entered the hotel, I was greeted. I was up early on the 27th and down in the lobby with my Lab asking about a Starbucks nearby. A gentlemen at the front desk took the time to walked me to the other side of the building, open up the door and explain how to get there all while asking about my stay. I was so impressed because he could have just said it’s across the street. He showed excellent customer service. I can’t remember his name (Benjamin? Adam ?). Please let him know.
Another front desk exceptional experience was from a thoughtful lady working the morning of the 27th. I was leaving for the ASU game and was going to skip 4th quarter and rush back to take my lab for a bathroom break. I decided to asked the lady at the front if someone could take him for a walk and a bathroom break around 1 if I couldn’t get back before 4. She gave me the number to call, walked around the counter to meet him and jotted some info down regarding the time.
As halftime approached, I knew I couldn’t make it back in time, so I called. I was very stressed out and she picked up the phone and said, “Don’t worry, I took him for a walk about an hr. ago and he’s fine. Have fun at the game and don’t rush.” Wow! I was so relieved that she took the time to walk him and I now knew I could relax and see the entire game and not rush back. I offered to tip her, but she wouldn’t accept. Her gesture really made my trip! I wish I could remember her name and I hope you can track her down to compliment her.
Upon checking out on Sunday, I shared this info with Houman. He was very helpful! I told him I will be vacationing here in the future. He went over rates and ideal times to visit to save money.
The best surprise occurred when I received my bill. No excessive pet...
