I don't even want to give this one star, but it's my only option. We booked this room off a booking site because we were playing ball nearby and just needed a place for the night. Didn't have or need high expectations because we just wanted to go to bed. When checking in, the hotel requires a $25 deposit to receive a remote to the TV. When we got to our room, the TV cord wasn't even long enough to reach the plug, so...... There were glass shards in the shower. The mattress is wrapped in plastic so every time you move, the beds make a lot of noise and the photos of the rooms on line aren't what the rooms look like. The woman at check-in ran our credit card for the full price of room, plus a deposit for the remote. The next morning she refunded the $25 deposit when we returned the remote. Then, we received an email form the online hotel booking page that we were a no-show and the hotel charged our card a SECOND TIME. When trying to discuss with the hotel thinking that's an easy fix, they would repeatedly hang up on me. Also went through the hotel booking site to try and get refund and the hotel would never respond to the booking site either. I can understand if the staff isn't trained well enough to know how to enter our reservation as a third-party site, but I will not be punished and charged twice because of lack of training. The customer service is deplorable.
UPDATE: The manager of this location got in touch with me directly after this review. She was very willing to help, but then we got to a point where she asked me to call the main office and clear it up. I had already called them many times prior and they simply would tell me I had 2 reservations (because of how it was entered by location). I requested that, if she wants to make it right, it's not my job to call them and asked if she would do that. She did the leg-work and finally got my refund issued. I understand mistakes happen but how the establishment deals with them 100% reflects the business and this business as a whole handled it poorly. Read moreThis place is trash. I stayed there because it was close to my job and had access to shopping very close by. The rooms are very bare minimum and stink, the location is dirty looking, trash always all around the property and the people who stay there are very suspicious. Also, there's something scammy going on in that office so I would suggest to always pay in cash and never give your card info. I ended up leaving after paying for a week online, getting a receipt and confirmation via email from OyO hotel and having a receipt from Cash app stating the $300 charge from OyO came out of my account and they still had the nerve to say they didn't get the payment. They wanted me to pay all over again even though I had the proof that I had paid. They called the police on me repeatedly after I had just come home from working a12-hour shift, waking me up over and over again, and the cops would let me stay after I showed them the proof. They kept calling the cops until they got a pair that kicks me out because she finally produced a refund receipt saying that she would refund me. If they never got the money why were they going to refund me? Anyways, those cops said it was civil and made me leave because of the refund promise. I had to pay more money to move to another hotel as I didn't get my refund for at least 3 more days. It was a horrible experience.
