Joshua Tree Inn keeps its beauty behind the secure gates for you to discover. If you want a cookie-cutter, same hotel experience as you always have, this is not the place for you. If you want a real break from the everyday and to feel the magic and energy of Joshua Tree, then this IS the place for you! ||First, this was one of the best check-ins I've ever had. The business of the payment, signing all paperwork, etc. was done quickly. Then we had a tour of the property which has beautiful landscaping, a burbling fountain, and a gorgeous, newly renovated pool area. There are plenty of peaceful outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the desert air. ||We had the Phil Kaufman suite which was more than adequate for our 2-night stay. The bed is super comfortable and the sheets are nice and soft. The bathroom is smaller than you may be used to, but it's part of its charm and besides, you're not there to linger in the bathroom, right? ||Highly recommend Joshua Tree Inn for your desert escape. ||Notes: | - There is one outside smoking area.| - The Phil Kaufman suite has a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge| - At check in you are given a code to use for all the locks on the property. No need for a key!| - The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap in case you forget toiletries.| - The front desk is not manned 24/7, but there is a number you can call that is posted in your room and an indoor area with a phone in case you don't get service. Basically, assistance is a phone call away if you need it. | - The towels are actually really small, so recommend asking for a couple extra should you want one for body and separate...
Read moreLet me start by saying my husband and I were very excited to stay at the inn. We love kitschy stays with tons of character - it’s something we look for in our bookings. When we arrived check in was easy, and the staff was informative and friendly. The property was cute and close to the park, however there were a few things we’d like to note:||1. The bathroom door in the room we stayed in was not a solid door, it had slits in it, like a dressing room. (Room #10)| |2. The room itself was clean, however, the furnishings looked like they got picked up off the side of the road. There was no really comfortable place to sit. The two stools at the bar where not the right hight and made it awkward.||3. I love a good, scratchy motel towel, But the where far to small,|My husband and I are both very average size people and could not wrap it fully them around our bodies.||4. The shower-was a slow trickle and water temp was inconsistent.||5. Lastly, I am all about Covid -19 safety precautions. My husband and I are both vaxxed to the max. I found It a bit off-putting signing a symptom disclosure form at check in. ||Anyway, we made the most of the one-night stay we had. Doubtful we would re-book. Wish it could’ve been better. To be fair, the location is great, and we understand the motel is rich in history. However, in our humble yet broadly-traveled opinions we feel the accommodations...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to stay at Garske Manor which is a privately owned vacation home booked through the inn. What a wonderful place to stay. It's pretty much a dream home. It's close to the Park entrance in Yucca Valley, downtown Joshua Tree, downtown antiquing/thrift store shopping in Yucca Valley, and close to Pioneer town and the world famous Pappy and Harriet's. This is all of course given the fact that you actually want to leave the property of Garske Manor. This place is amazing and beyond words. It's spacious with a nice open floor plan, can sleep several people, it's got a Jacuzzi, the kitchen has nice big counter top made for those who love to cook on the road, and the architecture bring you to a place of the wildest dreams. It sort of reminds me of a mini Winchester Mystery House. This is a fantastic retreat for artist, musicians, writers, friends, and those who just want to escape from it all. It has a great all around view of the high desert. When Frank Garske built this place, he sure had a true vision of beauty. You will not be disappointed! I am a regular guest in Joshua Tree and always love staying at the Joshua Tree Inn and go there for almost every vacation. There was no other place that I would want to stay until I tried this. I will be staying here again in the future. This is a place dreams...
