STOP STOP STOP...MUST READ....THIS PIZZA PLACE ALMOST MADE ME CRY. YES, that's right for 27 years I have been searching for a really good pizza here in the USA. Many disappointments, and many pizzas tossed in the garbage. Finally, the search is over. If you want a real (90% close to being authentic Italian) good pizza then look no further this is the place. Real Italian tomatoes (certified), freshly made dough every day. Perfect dough consistency and shiny crust. Sheen is almost too much but hey it's a good sign that gluten has been happily stretched and olive oil added. Just perfect. Bubbles and black spots in the crust. And then that first bite. Perfect crisp and crunch in every bite. Nothing soggy in the middle and just perfect deliciousness all the way. They even offer Italian cuts to top pizza with. Unfortunately not salami. The staff is also super amazing, Mr. Styles... the gentleman who proudly told me about this place is one of the makers of these delicious, round, Godly treats. He told me how much pride and quality they put into these circles to the point where I thought he was full of it. But I have to admit. He was not. Then there was this pretty blond waitress who also was super friendly and never stopped smiling. Very attentive and professional. Unfortunately, I did not get her name..yet... All around the best atmosphere, staff, and pizza in the area. I am so glad I found this amazing gem in the desert. Thank you, staff and owners. You found a friend and customer for life. Wait a minute.... I just could not give up on finding something bad about this place. I mean, there has to be something. Yes, you guessed it right.... bathroom time it is.... in a bathroom you can truly reveal a restaurants true attitude for perfecting. Really, really.... this place was pretty packed and the bathroom had to to be cleaner than my own. No way. Yes way.... besides the soap bottle dripping and paper towel dispenser being empty (don't stress, they had paper towels on top of it) ii could not find anything. Not even a drop of pie on the floor. Unbelievable. This place.... absolutely amazing Next time pasta and desserts. Stay tuned... PS: if anyone tries to talk you into eating their Cannoli, don't fight it.... eat up. Super delicious.

My wife and I decided to take a trip to southern California for our honeymoon... On our way, we stopped in Joshua Tree and figured we'd take our time and check out this charming little desert oasis. We were feeling hungry and decided to grab some lunch. Being from the East Coast, my wife and I LOVE pizza. Who knew that the best pizza restaurant in the world would not be found in Chicago, New York or even New Jersey, but in this tiny little corner of the Southern California desert! What drew me in was the rustic exterior with the neon sign that gave the restaurant an almost old west, comic book vibe. Almost like something you might see in the game "Fallout." My interest was piqued. Upon entering, the atmosphere was clean, warm and inviting. The staff was eager and friendly, setting it apart from most any east coast pizza joint I've ever been where people tend to be a little more abrasive or impatient. Though the place was super busy, our server Natasha was quick with drinks and gave us plenty of time to look over their fantastic menu. My wife ordered the Langostino Lobster and Truffle cream... 🔥 Whaaaaaaat?!? 🤌🏻 While I ordered the Sausage and Peppers Rustica!! (FIRE) 🤌🏻 The crust was handmade and baked to perfection! 🤌🏻 The sauce was obviously made from scratch and would make my grandma jealous! 🫢 Best quality ingredients which made for the most satisfying cheese pull... Yum! 🤤 We finished our meal and were surprised with complimentary dessert by Andrea, whom I can only assume was either the owner or the manager? What a lady! So kind. So sweet! We enjoyed our desert while she entertained us with the local lore about the surrounding desert! Who knew this seemingly desolate wasteland could be so interesting?! With our bellies full and and taste buds sated, we now had so much more we were looking forward to exploring! Joshua Tree did not disappoint and Sky High Pie is without a doubt, the best in the business and a diamond in the rough! Highly recommended! We will hopefully make it back here again soon!

Not in this for the vibe atmosphere, so don't care to rate that. We work hard for our money and we showed up yesterday when it was slow only a few people in the place. The front woman was very nice, great service from her very on it taking orders. Ordered a few pizzas and noticed drama happening in the kitchen, not our business but it apparently it became an issue when our pizzas for to go sat there for an unknown amount of time only it was semi warm/cold when we finally asked for our pizzas. Just the kitchen people talking and no communication for the front lady to be able to let us know our order was ready. Too busy in their drama in the kitchen and the slowness made them forget about us waiting for 50 minutes inside the place, and we had to ask about our order. It peeved us enough because we also work hard for our money and these pizzas run about 20/25 bucks and the whole downtown area is a rip off for food. We don't appreciate poor service for semi cold/warm to go pizzas that people rave about, and we waited inside for the whole time. Just make a good product, and don't waste our time, you don't have to care as a worker, just do your job like everyone else has done to show up and be able to buy your overpriced food. Update: based on unprofessionalism and petty response on the owners part here, my review will not be changing. Your problems are not my problems to bear, thank you.

I came in today around 11:30am with my 4 year old daughter and placed an order for a pepperoni pizza. We were offered to sit at the counter so my daughter could watch the chef make our pepperoni pizza. There was only one other table as they opened at 11am. The chef and the person who had seated us both struck up a friendly conversation and quickly asked her if she would like to make her own pizza. I was shocked and amazed at the offer and my daughter was thrilled. They quickly got a small piece of dough out for her and floured the counter we were sitting at. My daughter took over with enthusiasm and the chef guided her in rolling out and stretching the dough into a pizza crust. She was over the moon getting a pizza making lesson. While her crust didn’t wind up much different from the ball she started with, she had a blast and I got a great family video. They put her crust onto a peel and asked her if she wanted sauce (enthusiastic ”yes!”) and any toppings (“just cheese”) and they popped her creation into the pizza oven. I will never forget what they did for her. Talking with the chef he said he enjoyed doing this for kids because nobody did it for him when he was growing up and they designed the counter top with this idea in mind. I am sure they cannot do this for everyone, but I think showing up when they are not busy and asking to sit at the counter is your best chance.

I chose this place as it seemed to be among the 4 restaurants with the best reputation and the pictures looked pretty good. Talking with the chef, they clearly take pride in their work and put love into the pizza. The sauce made with imported san Marzano tomatoes is tasty, and the oregano they use is quite tasty.

I will certainly be back here if we come back to...
