This is my third consecutive summer here. The park has lost its caretakers of 16 years due to a change of ownership. The new ownership is run by the son-in law of the new owner, his name is Joel. Joel is spread very thin. He is the general manager and has responsibilities that include running the RV park, motel, Flathead Marina, and the Harbor Grille Restaurant. He is a nice man who tries very hard. His upper management is good, ie…Mariah…His day to day operations are handled by very responsible young men and women from area high schools and perhaps colleges. I had an emergency at the marina that required paramedics. These young people where so helpful. They rose to the occasion and went above and beyond their responsibilities.
Their are area where improvement is needed. The reservation system, the dog park and perhaps some additions like Pickleball or workout facility.
HOWEVER, the parks location is awesome. Right across from Flathead Lake. Their is a boat ramp, restaurants, coffee shops, water sport rentals, fishing charter, and banks. There is a small grocery store, and several gas stations. The RV park is only 45 minutes from Whitefish, 20 minutes to Kalispell or Big Fork and 50 minutes to Polson, or Glacier.
The cost is consistent with other RV sites. Unfortunately, I cost to stay continues to escalate. The place has the potential to be great, lots of land and potential. I will conclude with this...
Read moreI booked a “large luxury family condo” at Edgewater RV and Luxury Resort and paid over $800 for a two-night stay. The experience was extremely disappointing and fell well short of the promised luxury.||Check-in was handled by a young woman named Carol, who was courteous, helpful, and professional — she was the only positive part of the stay. Unfortunately, she was just filling in for someone who wasn’t present, which reflects a broader lack of oversight at the property.||The entrance to our building was directly next to a pet relief area, and the persistent odor of dog waste was overwhelming. Inside the unit, strong chemical air fresheners created an unpleasant atmosphere that lingered for almost a full day.||The condo was bare and poorly maintained. There was no hair dryer, only nine TV channels, no games or entertainment, and a dirty couch. The carpet was tattered and worn, and the dishwasher was out of order, adding to the sense of neglect.||This property is misrepresented in its advertising. It did not meet basic hospitality expectations, let alone anything remotely luxurious. I strongly encourage travelers to explore alternate accommodations nearby — better, cleaner, and more accurately described options are just a short drive away.||I am only giving this a 1-star rating as zero...
Read moreWe absolutely love it here. We realized once we arrived that we actually stayed in the hotel portion of the property a decade ago, and the place is even nicer now. We stayed for a month and experienced zero issues with utilities or anything else. It was so nice to have the marina right across the street and a place to store our boat trailer (there is a charge, so call ahead). The staff is wonderful. I honestly can't say enough nice things about our stay.
There is a fire department and a helipad right behind the property. We were lucky enough to see the red helicopter land and take off once for a training. I do not recommend being outside during landing or take offs, due to the wind it kicks up, but that was one of the coolest things we've seen on our big adventure.
You're only about 20 minutes from Kalispell, where you'll find any store you might need. Also be on the lookout for farm stands for local produce.
For those who need it: You can receive mail here, just ask for the proper address. There is also a post office within walking distance. And, really, most of the town of Lakeside is within walking distance, just be wary of the traffic - there's a bit more than...
