Slide lock mechanism on door busted, w red tape on it and that was scary. Toilet had poor functionality and the bed was soiled and smelled unpleasant. Later into the night during our stay, I noticed an odd device plugged into my cable box and it made me feel uncomfortable. It had a pinhole in it and I'm knowledgeable enough to know that's generally what a mic looks like. So my boyfriend removed it! After we inspected it, I was glad he unplugged it because 'REC' was printed on it, which doesnt necessarily always mean 'record', but that's enough to unplug it! The television and remote functioned for the rest of the night. The next morning when I myself brought it to staff respectfully demanding answers, the housekeeper said it was necessary for the remote to function (the remote we used all night) and he responded with hostility and literally grabbed at the cord and started pulling it out of my hands. My boyfriend intervened, and I threatened to call the police before he finally withdrew and retreated to the hall, and came into the lobby from another door, where we showed the manager the wires against the housekeepers belligerent protests, and the housekeeper gained the upper hand of the dispute somehow, for what might be any reason at all-i don't know-and had the managers attention, who now seemed alarmed and shook by what was unfolding, and became irrational and raised his voice, kicking me out and threatened to call the cops! I'm definitely reporting this and I'm going to get this documented everywhere that I can. Even considering the unlikely circumstances, this place is not safe as far as my opinion goes. I am not a violent or aggressive person and this whole experience was scary and shouldn't have happened.

I am Justin's girlfriend and I'm leaving this review. Later into the night during our stay, I noticed an odd device plugged into my cable box and it made me feel uncomfortable. It had a pinhole in it and I'm knowledgeable enough to know that's generally what a mic looks like. So Justin removed it! After we inspected it, I was glad he unplugged it because 'REC' was printed on it, which could mean 'receive', or 'record', but that's enough to unplug it! My friend and I were in town for a concert. I bought a bedroom with "a queen bed" for the two of us for the two days we were in town. Upon arrival I did inquire about any rooms with two beds for the same price. They stated there were none available for the same price, which was no big deal. However, upon getting into the room, there was only a bed a little bigger than a twin, to which my friend and I decided would not comfortably fit both of us, so we decided not to stay. Since then I have attempted to get a refund since the expectations of the place were not up to par with what was presented on the Priceline website. The manager denied the refund even though none of their services were used by myself or my friend. I travel often, and have even stayed at another HCI Lodge, and have had no issues with getting a refund if the room is not what was advertised. Do not stay here--they are liars and do not care about the people who want to pay for their services. The first picture is the bed in the room. The second is the bed advertised for a queen bed. They are obviously not the same.

This is the second time my boyfriend and I have stayed at this Hotel and the first time we stayed it was for almost a month, we had no issues with the staff, our room was EXTREMELY CLEAN, the housekeeping attendant was very attentive. Our room was on the second floor the first time we stayed here, and I honestly had no issues with anything in the room. This is the second time we have stayed here and we are now on the third floor and it's so quiet, and our room once again was EXTREMELY CLEAN when we opened the door to come into the room, the only thing I have an issue with is the ''hot'' water in the bathroom sink and shower. It doesn't get as hot as it gets on the first and second floors, and you have to turn the shower knob several times to make the water hot. I didn't want to spend almost 300 hundred dollars on a room, that we were only going to be in 4 days, and then I booked this hotel online and I used my hotel discounts and hotel perks when I booked the room, & when we got here, I went to the front desk, the front desk clerk gave me another discount of 15 percent off of our room, because the first time we stayed here we were the only ones that didn't have any traffic coming in and out of our room, we weren't loud and running the halls, we stayed in our room unless we were going to get something to eat or had to run an errand. So I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING HERE BUT ON THE THIRD FLOOR because it's really really quiet, and if you do get a room on the third floor ask for any room on the right side of the hallway, 301-305, they are the best ones on the third floor. My friends have all stayed in those rooms here...

The entire stay was terrible. There were two decent kind souls working there that made things so very much easier and better. I wouldn’t bring a dog here to this old nasty dirty, NO AMENITIES, NO nothing! The parking lot is terrible, there’s NO elevator, a vending machine that works periodically and they do NOT give you any compensation when it jacks your money, there’s NO valet, no breakfast, no pool, no updates, the place is a roach infested hole. I don’t recommend it. I will NEVER come back to be treated in this manner and frankly I wouldn’t even consider this a decent housing situation for violent offenders, for criminally insane! I’m telling you and I will be happy to provide you with the receipts for our stay as the price began to explode through the roof! It went from what I thought was going to cost me $58 each night well over $130 each night! This is a horrible experience for ANY person. The trash, the bugs, the unclean linen, the mold showing through the bathroom grout, the no so friendly aroma that knocks you down upon entry. The filthy carpet that very clearly hasn’t been tended to nor actually cleaned since the place first opened in the 1950’s I do believe. It’s terrible. Oh, and the owner….has NO problems approaching anyone and invading their space, carring and unlicensed fire arm in his pocket and screaming at you like a dog. So, if that’s the lovely stay you’d like….more power to you. But this place is THE worst in this town. We would all be better off if it began to sank into the depths of hell in which it came from. Truly....
