Asado Urban Grill and Lounge — Restaurant in Kansas City

My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with this restaurant. The food and service were both sub-par. Our experience started while we were waiting to be seated. We were standing there while a woman, whom we thought was a customer, was walking around mumbling to herself. We soon realized she was our hostess, and she awkwardly took us to our table. She was whispering in what didn't sound like English, and sat us at the worst table in the corner right by the kitchen when many other tables were available. After being seated we waited at least 10 minutes before our waitress came by. Thank God for the bus boy who promptly brought us water without us having to ask. My boyfriend ordered the large Caesar salad and I ordered a cup of broccoli and cheese soup with the wild mushroom ravioli appetizer. My boyfriend's salad came out soggy, and something you would get out of the refrigeration section at Walmart. My ravioli was tasteless, and I had to add salt just to eat it. My smaller-than-a-cup of soup tasted more like oil than anything else. After we were clearly finished we waited another 15 minutes to get our check since there was no wait staff on the floor at all. We finally flagged down the bus boy who went and found our waitress for us. Our $26 tab would have been better spent at Wendy's. We honestly would have enjoyed that more. edit** THEY ARE ALSO THIEVES! They took a tip that I didn’t give. I waited to see if they’d return it but they didn’t. I guess my review set it off. So be careful and don’t use a card; they will steal!

The ambiance and aesthetics of the place were very nice and relaxing. Staff were very rude. I usually (joyfully) leave a big tip even though I order to go but the unwarranted rudeness just threw me off. Pulled pork sandwich was cold and dried out like someone else ordered it 45 minutes ago and didn’t get it so they put it in the microwave when I ordered the same thing. The side salad was as expected. A quality attitude and quality food (no matter who you’re serving) would make this...

The food is great! But the service is horrible. I suggest the KC loin steak a little pricey for the cut but absolutely amazing! Order it medium. If they just get their service good (ordered a peach cobbler but it’s taking longer than the steak) they maybe be a 4 or 5 star restaurant. But being part of a restaurant inside Hilton hotels they can do better. Provided feedback to manager bought the meal so Channing review to a four star. At least they care enough to improve and they do care. Maybe I was just here in a bad night. But do order the KC loin steak! After trying the peach cobbler! Don’t know if it is worth the wait but...
