This hotel is typically $60 per night but since it was a festival weekend the price was tripled in which I paid $160 per night. This is not the reason for this review. Upon arriving to this hotel, I was greeted with an odor from the stained carpet from lobby as well and when I entered my room (same stinch). The chair in the room also had stains all over. The next day I asked for my room to be serviced and was informed that room service was available every other day and no one was available. Since there was no room service available, I asked for clean wash cloth and towels. I was informed by the front desk attendant that there was no clean towels available becuase they was all being washed. On day two, I had the same issue and was offered pool towels in replacement. Later that night/early morning after I returned from my outing, I had towels placed at my door in a plastic bag (leading up to day three). Is this the Hilton Garden Inn gaurantee? I never saw managment the entire weekend and none of my issues was resolved. I contacted customer service and voiced my complaint but the damage is already done. To top of everything on my day of check out Housekeeping knocked on my door at 0800 to see when will I be checking out. I'm writing this review in hopes of helping the next Hilton Honors member before they decides to book...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel, hoping that it was renovated after it was sold to a different company, but I was so wrong! By the way, I was charged $229 per night for this nasty place that does not even deserve a star! While the staff was friendly and the location was convenient, the hotel itself is quite dated and urgently in need of renovations. The décor, furniture, and amenities all show significant wear and tear, making the overall experience feel less comfortable than expected.
The rooms, while clean, had outdated furnishings, worn carpets, and an old-fashioned bathroom that could benefit from modernization. Some of the facilities, such as the elevators and air conditioning, seemed inefficient or in need of maintenance. Additionally, the common areas lacked the fresh and inviting atmosphere that you would expect from a well-maintained hotel.
With some updates and renovations, this hotel could be a much better experience for guests. Until then, it may not be the best option for travelers looking for a modern and comfortable stay.
P.S. There are two black cats living outside the hotel, that made my stay much better. Please do not get rid of those...
Read moreThis was a terrible stay from start to finish. When I first entered the room, it smelled like wet clothes. I sprayed Lysol and Febreze — something I do at any hotel I stay in while traveling — and went on about my day, since I was in town for a bowling tournament.
That night, I returned to the room and found a bug in the tub. I absolutely hate bugs, so I went to the front desk — only to find no one there. There was also no phone in the room to call for help. Frustrated and exhausted, I tried looking for another hotel nearby, but everywhere was booked, likely due to the tournament.
The next day, after another long day of bowling, I came back to the room and found a lizard inside. My son had to kill it. At that point, I just wanted the weekend to be over. I got up early Sunday morning, checked out, and explained everything to the woman at the front desk. Her only response was: “Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. We’re trying to do upgrades, and housekeeping could’ve helped with this.”
That level of indifference was the final straw. I took my receipt and left.
I will never stay here...
