Honest Review here. Made a reservation for an Anniversary dinner, in hopes to find a new local steakhouse. I should have stuck with the normal go to, of Ruths or Flemmings. The food here is terrible. Strike 1 was not having the selected wine in stock, things happen and there was a second selection made. Strike 2 was ordering the french onion soup and it never came until realized 5 mins before the entrees came. Although they did take it off the order, and apologized I felt as though the server should have been more aware. Strike 3 was the food. Very mediocre, very basic and plain. The seafood beignets tasted frostburned, cold inside and they even used small frozen crawfish on the topping. I ordered the Prime rib, king and half was fatty, unedible. It was cooked medium as requested but again, unlike other steakhouses it was served on a plain white plate with no "sizzle". The other Entrée was a filet. Tough as nails, and overcooked. Asked for medium rare/medium and recieved Medium well/well. The sides were baked potatoes, which we received 3 for some odd reason. The creamed spinach was ok, very garlicky flavored. The service was ok at first, but felt forgotten about as we sat there with no food, no refills, and the place was nearly empty. I was expecting a romantic type atmosphere but being in a casino, those expectations were cut short. People walking in with shorts, flipflops, etc. Who came in from the casino to grab a bite to eat or a drink. If this place hopes to stay around they need to make changes ASAP. I will not return, or recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreOn the above date 8/2/2025 I went into The Alderman Steakhouse with the intent on enjoying a great meal as I always do. I was seated in Brennan's section/area. He approached me , told me what today's specials were, which was a steak with lobster toppings. I said "that sounds awesome," and processed to order it. As I was midway through eating my food, Brennan approached me while carrying another plate stating "he gave me the wrong order." As confused as I was, I was even more confused that he wanted the already eaten food back in place of my correct order. I stated that to him, which he agreed how confusing it seems. Brennan never once indicated if it was policy or a rule to return the wrongfully served food. However, upon placing my original order down he strongly insinuated that I "look after him" or "throw him a lil extra something" as in a tip. I felt extremely uncomfortable and bullied after he repeatedly ask this of me multiple times. I request if my remaining food could be boxed up to go as it has been done on previous visits to the Steakhouse, Brennan refused. I boxed my food myself, took care of the check (in which my comps covered) and headed towards the exit, Brennan took it upon himself to loudly call my name and try to chastise me about not leaving a tip. I am a true believer of tipping, as I myself have worked in the food industry, with that being said, Brennan's service wasn't deserving of a tip. Brennan's approach and professionalism was very disrespectful, disheartening, as well as disappointing to you guy’s establishment.
