Motel 6 Kokomo, IN — Hotel in Kokomo

My husband and I stayed there from the 9/5-9/11. On my first night there which was a Wednesday I was tossing and turning ALL night because of the smell of cigarettes it literally smelled like someone was in my room blowing cigarette smoke in my face, it gave me a headache. The room smelled like old cigarettes, mind you it’s a non-smoking motel. When I lifted up the covers there were burn marks from cigarettes in the blankets and sheets, I didn’t think about it until the later that the holes in the blankets and sheets matched up correctly so that means when it was burned they did NOT have them washed it was disgusting!!!! So Thursday comes and no housekeeping came at all. I thought we kept spilling our drinks somehow so I used our towels to clean up water by our bed (later we found out it was from the a/c leaking) I call up to thw front office to have our towels replaced and she tells me “you can bring them up here to switch em’ out” and I’m thinking to myself well if housekeeping would’ve came like they should’ve than I wouldn’t have had to call you. So I say “okay, what time is housekeeping supposed to come?” She says we’re sceduled for a full service cleaning tomorrow (which is Friday) so I’m like okay I’ll wait it’s already night time. Housekeeping comes at noon on Friday and when she comes I. She tells me I’m due for full service cleaning so I say yes and let her in. She takes out the trash, grabs my towels than asks me if I want my bedding changed. I say yes and she takes the sheets and leaves. I call the office 4 hours later to tell them she never came back with the sheets. She comes back 15-20 Minutes after my call and brings the sheets. She’s telling me they’re short staffed which I understand and that her manager told her to stop what she’s doing and do all the checkouts first. So she had to listen to him, and I’m like okay so I start helping her with my bed and put my pillow cases on and stuff. Mind you I’m die for a full service clean so before she walks out she says “do you want me to sweep and mop” I said “no, you’re ok”. After everything she was just complaining about and how she has to do everything why would I want to add that to her and she already looked and seemed frustrated when she was fixing my bed. So I was like ok this is crazy I guess I can wait for her to come sweep tomorrow. It’s hardwood floors and my husband works construction so when he gets back to the hotel sand comes with him. So anyhow the rest of our stay no housekeeping comes whatsoever. You hear the housekeepers in the hallways talking about how they have to do this and that so you don’t want to bother them. I didn’t want to make their job harder because we had an Xbox 1 in our room. A flat screen tv my husband purchased while being down there, our tablets and I didn’t want them to end up missing if we were doing a lot of complaining. So me and my husband took out our own garbage and had to get our towels and I would use the towels to somewhat sweep the room. On Monday I called guest relations and they told me to wait until I check out to do my complaint because it seems like management doesn’t care so I said ok. I than figured out that the a/c was leaking so I took my towels down to the office and to let them know I needed garbage bags and more towels. On my way up the lady in the office was on a cigarette break I believe and seen me coming so she put her cigarette down and walked into the office and I handed her my wet towels and told her i need new ones she grabbed them and said there’s no more up there, she’ll let housekeeping know. While I’m talking to her she’s walking away, back outside to her cigarette and I said I also need garbage bags (she says ok as she’s walking away) than I get louder and say AND the a/c in my room is leaking water (than she stops and looks at me) I said “that’s why I’ve been going through my towels so much Because I’ve been having to wipe up the water that I thought were spilled cups (my husband is clumsy that’s why) she says I’ll call maintenance and...

Facility enables and facilitates drug deals, outdoor loitering, drinking and open drug taking right in their parking lot as well as being loud well into the night. Facility smells of marijuana and provides an illegal and unsafe environment. Upon walking my family including children through a crowd of people just a few feet from the door smoking dope and drinking hard liquor I contacted the manager fuming who proceeded to tell me "These people come here every year and he finds nothing wrong with this behavior and if I didn't like it then tough". It's a cut rate hotel but nowhere in the agreement does it says drugs and an unsafe environment is part of the amenities.

This doesn't even include the horrible uncomfortable experience inside the room which is a whole other review.

Upon showing up to turn in for the 2nd night I found 2 people in the back of the lot committing sex acts then upon turning in looking up at the TV I notice something shiny behind the TV. I get up to see what it is from the rock solid bed to find a piece of aluminum foil made into a weed pipe with used weed still in it. Now I am not an anti-weed person though I do NOT do it myself but I'm pretty sure that is 1 illegal in the state of Indiana and 2 bad for business. Upon some simple research I am finding that this facility has been placed with hot calls from police and EMT for overdoses, passed out drunks in parking lot and other various crimes. I even see that they have been raided a few times..

It needs to be known to anyone who will listen what this hotel is up too. It's ironic that while they allow this to go on within the grounds they have a certificate in their office on the wall from the local police department SWAT team. Guess that explains why the manager doesn't mind the criminal issues as the police department though speculative must be looking the other way.

I will be in contact with Motel 6 corporate office about this stay and what I paid for an unsafe environment with criminal activity that they openly...

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in! At first sight the room looks clean till after your in there for a bit you notice all the filth! Look at the pictures I will post, the walls are dirty they look like someone has picked their nose and wiped the walls with their findings! Not just that but you can see they are just plain dirty! The ceiling beams and walls have tape stuck to them, I think someone had a b-day party in the room. And cobwebs are on the ceiling. The beams on the ceiling have dirty water drops like there was a bad leak from upstairs! The bathroom floor around the toilet is pretty nasty! The house keeping doesn't come till about noon to collect your dirty towels and wash clothes then after 2 to 3 hours later they still haven't brought any clean towels or wash clothes, so my daughter took some off of one of the maids cart and of course they was hand towels and wash clothes. Well not to long after that front desk come knocking on the door wanting the items that she took off of the maids cart, so we gave them to him and let him know that house keeping hasn't brought us any clean towels and wash clothes and I wanted to take a shower he said they will bring some to us. Well at 6:00 pm still no towels and wash clothes so I called the front desk and the gentleman told me that I had to come to the front desk to get them, that house keeping would of gave us some if my daughter didn't take them off the cart! So I went to the front desk and he gave me 2 towels 2 washcloths and the towel for the floor. So again today at noon they knocked on the door and my daughter gave them our dirty towels and wash clothes and trash the lady said they will bring us trash bags, towels and wash clothes back, well about 3 or so we finally got trash bags towels and wash clothes! Idk why they wait so long to bring the items back when they take them! Also the beds are terrible, they are so hard!! The best thing about this motel was that my 2 fur babies was...
