I won’t give a bad review because this is my first negative experience in years. Normally the food is delicious, the place is clean and the employees go above and beyond. I am always on Facebook raving about the kokomo location. Until today, today I had a very bad experience. I asked an employee if it was under new management because the experience was so unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I was told n, but that the owner doesn’t come in like he used to i the past. I’m asking the owner to please check in more often. Today could have just been a fluke but I legitimately am leaving kokomo feeling sad. We’ve met the owner several times during past visits. He was always wonderful as was the staff. We drive two and half hours just to grab a sandwich at this location because it has always left us with five star service. I hope that our next visit we experience what we have become accustomed to. Again today could have just been a fluke, but other customers were complaining as well from messed up orders, to dirty tables and wet floors, to the worst of all, rude customer service. Rolling of the eyes twice, once to us and once to customers behind us, because the order was wrong. Things happen, people have bad days, but one should never roll their eyes at customer, especially when it was employees mistake. So saddened today. If the employee is correct and the difference is that the owner doesn’t come in as often, I beg you, please make this location your baby again. It was phenomenal and I hope it becomes...
Read moreWent in for lunch today and ordered a Kentucky Bourbon sandwich and some bacon cheese fries. Instead of informing me that they no longer have that one they decided to make me a pepercorn Parm sandwich without saying anything to me about it. (Good thing I'm not allergic to anything that was on it). The fries were soggy cold and soaked in cheese. The bacon was not cooked all the way, and When I realized the sandwich was not only something I didn't order but was dry and had no flavor I called the store. The first time I called and explained they gave me the wrong sandwich ( he didn't give his name ) but informed me they no longer have the Kentucky Bourbon. So I asked why I wasn't told that when I ordered and he told me I didn't order that. ( I know what I ordered I even showed him on my phone.) And hung up on me. So I called back and asked to speak to a manager. He told me I was speaking to keelee. And I again explained what happened. Turns out the guy who I first spoke to was the manager. He cut me off and explained that if I didn't like the sandwich that the problem was with my taste buds and not their fault. He proceeded to tell me he would not refund me or give me any type of credit and hung up on me AGAIN. this is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I do not recommend this...
Read moreI will start by saying that usually this is our favorite restaurant when we are traveling through Kokomo but definitely not tonight. It was evident they did not want our business. Maybe it was because today is Memorial Day and the workers (mainly one) were ready to be done with their shift. We were told when we arrived at 7:30pm that we couldn’t eat it there (the restaurant didn’t close until 8:00pm). Even though we were there 30 minutes before closing, that was fine. We got it to go and sat outside because it was a nice enough evening. The whole time the person making the food was cooking it she looked extremely mad and angry that we were even there. After leaving (and eating outside) I did go in once to get more ketchup. Shortly after I went in, the worker with attitude, came over and locked the front door and turned off the “open” sign. This was at 7:49pm. Another customer came and they made him get his to go too. Another family came after they locked up and inquired so I just informed them they shut down early. The food was delicious but the service was not what it usually is. I am very disappointed. Five Guys next door looked very happy and welcoming. Should...
