The front desk girl was super nice at check in and the one at check out was also sweet. They are the reason for the two stars. As for the hotel... This place needs serious maintenance. We had a suite for a short family getaway. Two beds, two bathrooms, and a living room area. One of the bathtubs had holes in it, the plastic was cracking off and there was a large hole & only warm water... not hot at all. The ceilings had water stains above our beds and the drywall was cracking at the seams all around the stains. Thought we'd go swim in the pool area... The water was freezing, The pool room was also freezing. The pool is cement and The cement is flaking and cracking. The pictures on the website are very misleading. Or room was very warm though! Because the air conditioner went out in the middle of the night and would not turn back on. There was dried food, or what looked like ice cream or cream cheese, stuck in the carpeting in the living room in multiple areas. Absolutely disgusting. We didn't want to walk around without socks on. The couch had a pull out bed in it. How fun to watch movies in bed with our kids, right? Wrong. The bed was broken and would not lay flat, the bottom right corner of the bed stuck up about 6 inches. And to make it even worse, no sheets & the mattress had brown and orange-ish stains ALL over it. There was food & candy around the inside edges of the couch and under the cushions & behind the couch as well. We shoved the mattress back into the couch and sat uncomfortably on the hard sitting chairs to watch our movie... Because there's no tv where the beds are of course... Won't be back to this hotel unless the management...
Read moreI stayed at the Baymont while in town for a scholarship program, and this was my third time visiting for the same event. The hotel room was nice—everything was clean, and the room was well-stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The front desk staff, especially a woman named Therese, was friendly and helpful. During my three-night stay, my room was cleaned and freshened up each day.||The breakfast buffet was basic but satisfying, offering Belgian waffles, cold cereals, bagels, toast, muffins, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice.||There was a very nice indoor pool. I did not utilize it, but it looked very clean and kept up.||My only complaint was regarding the side and back entrances. The hallway carpets and the entrances to the outside were in poor condition. I stayed in room 209, which had two exits near it leading to the outside. These doors were supposed to require a room key to access from the parking lot, but one of the doors didn’t lock properly when exiting, and you had to fiddle with it to get it to lock. The other door wouldn’t lock at all, so anyone could enter the hotel at any time. This felt unsafe, and I made sure to deadbolt my room door and secure the additional bar lock.||Considering the price I paid per night (around $65), I wasn’t expecting perfection, but the security of the outside doors needs urgent attention. I plan to call the hotel tomorrow to report the issue, as I didn’t have a chance to do so at checkout. I’d definitely stay here again if the door...
Read moreI would give it no stars if I could. Decided to take my boy to a hotel for the night. Swimming pool was FREEZING. Was told it was heated, it was not at all. The pool room was hideously maintained. Cold air coming in from under the windows, but they did have towels rolled up under them. Didn't stop the breeze while sitting in the room. My son almost drowned. It's a three foot deep pool almost all the way across until you get to the very last 8 feet or so. It drops almost straight down to six feet deep. No warnings, no sign before the drop, no rope, just a drop. Horrible. No music at all in this hotel anywhere either. Adds for a creepy vibe. Our blankets for the bed had something on them prior to even sleeping in them. Looked like spots of chocolate. We will go with chocolate. Yuk. Discarded those blankets and slept on the white sheets. No hot water in the bathroom sink. Sink would back up while using it too, disguising if brushing teeth. Microwave was a joke. Tiny thing that you'd have to hold door shut to get it to work. Didn't even mention how the rooms are separated by room numbers; all the even are on one side of the hotel, all the odd on the other. We were on the odd side, we had a cart of things to take to our room, couldn't take the cart to the room, because there's 4 stairs that drop down to where the rooms are. I could go on and on. It was horrible. Staff was decent enough, hotel was awful for almost $80.
Stay somewhere else. You will regret it...
