My wife and I stayed here for two nights after being impressed by the pictures on the web site. Such gorgeous rooms at such a reasonable price seemed like a no-brainer! Imagine our surprise when we checked-into ours, which was decorated in a mid-century federal penitentiary motif, complete with carpeting that looked to be 40 years old, a broken safety clasp on the door, and the most hideous pea-green counter-top we'd ever seen. The bathroom (toilet) door was missing, too, replaced with a funky curtain, which provided no privacy. And it gets worse... It looked as if someone had tried to rip an outlet out of the (concrete block) wall, and all of the baseboards were missing in the hallways. In short, our experience was NOTHING LIKE what they portrayed on the web site. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the staff truly was awesome, and bent over backwards to make us feel welcome.

False advertising maybe? The pictures online are nothing like what I unfortunately had to stay in. If it weren't for the nice front desk ladies and a good experience at the restaurant, I would have canceled and stayed somewhere else. Very gross and run down, I couldn't get myself to walk on the carpet without my socks on. I would have loved to be given the option of reserving a renovated room, but I had no idea which room I would even be staying in when I booked online. 0 stars, but I had to give 2 stars for the front desk customer service and a nice evening at CJ's, I think Megan was my server?

The old part of the hotel, which is where we were put, is, well, just that, old and worn (did not get to see the newer building except from the outside, it may be nice). The rooms were okay. Between the drunken girls wandering the hall at 2am and the guy in his truck with his music full blast that parked directly outside of our window at 7am, it was next to impossible to get much sleep. It is attached to a casino (where my mom and uncle said the food was good), so be prepared for noise! However, after making my complaints know to the manager, we were able to sort things out.

To begin let me state the hotel, amenities, and experience was enjoyable. However, a situation arose the night of Feb. 12, 2017. We were suggested several attractions in the local communities including a movie theater, lakes, and a farmers market along with several others. One suggestion was Pechanga due to their night life. We were highly interested and inquired about this attraction. From the Econo Lodge it was approximately 20 miles taking 25 minutes and would cost $30-40 for transportation. So we asked the front desk to call a taxi. The taxi was "New World Taxi" (King Jesus) by Sal and Joe, the license number is 037495. Our driver was Sal number 951. On the road Pechanga Way approach Pechanga we noticed the fair to be $65. At this point I asked the driver how the fair is so large since we were told a much lesser amount. At this point he was in the far right lane which was at a halt. I asked him to move over the left lane where traffic was moving at a faster rate. He said this is the correct road. I did not argue since I was looking at google maps and both lanes would take us to our destination. He refused. At his point another $20 was increased to the fair. I asked him to pull over into the nearest alleyway; I believe it was called Loma Linda. He drove past it very slowly and said no. This point, I realized something was astray. A 15 minute trip on the interstate cost $65 and sitting in traffic for a few minutes cost another $20. So I confronted the driver and told him this fare is not correct. Abruptly he stopped the taxi in the road and said give me the money and get out in a threatening manner. Reluctantly the money was given to him as we stepped out of the cab into the bike lane and had to walk in this bike lane at night (2200 hours) with heavy traffic for 20 minutes. When we finally arrived to Pechanga, I called the Econo lodge front desk to inform them of what happened. Markus answered the called and seemed shocked to the amount the taxi had charge. At this point he stated that "Uber" would have been cheaper. I asked him why he did not state this before we left the econo lodge. There was no answer. I asked to have an appointment with the manager at the time of our check out the next morning at 11am. The manager Roxanne Zeller, apparently did not want to come in since she was the manager and it was a Sunday.

I realize the taxi companies are independent of your company. However, there was a feeling of deception and bamboozlement. Since we were told the short ride to Pechanga would cost $30-40 and the taxi called by your company had provide us to have a fare of $85 and left us in the middle of the road at night to walk the rest of the way in traffic. The frustrating point I would like to make is that the front desk knew “Uber” would have been a much cheaper option (which is true, the fair back to Econo Lodge from Pechanga was $27.22) and did not suggest this to begin with. Furthermore, I find making an appointment with the manager and her not showing up because it is a Sunday is extremely...

travel for business and stay in hotels often, but by far this was the worst hotel I have ever seen. We booked two nights and had 6 family members arriving to stay at the same hotel the following day for a birthday party nearby. We arrived late at night the room was poorly lit and didn’t see all the issues till the next morning. I was notified of a $75.00 cleaning or damage deposit after I arrived, I called front deck to notify hotel of damaged items of the ones I could see in the dimly lit room. Personnel at front deck ask me to list the items so we would not be charge. We had to call for security @ 02:00 because of people yelling and fighting outside door. Here is a list of items: Poor lighting. Room smelled, none smoking room with cigarettes burns in curtains. Broken headboard, dints and scratches on mini refrigerator. Water stains on table by coffee maker. Dust on headboard, lamp, night stand, room clearly not cleaned in months. Cracks in wall. Spiders, Cobwebs with lots bugs stuck in them. Not just one cobweb but many with dust on cobwebs. Mosquitos that bite me came in through the crack in the bottom of doorway. Front door was filthy with dirt and finger prints. Bathroom door was unsanitary with black stuff sprayed on it. Mold in shower. Dead bugs inside celling light with dead bugs stuck around light in more cobwebs. Mouthwash bottle unsealed semi drank with hair around it. Mirror was wipe down in one area the rest left dirty. Bathroom facet not attached to sink hanging lose not bolted to sink at all. Coffee pot had not been cleaned dust and dirt inside with a broken lid. Floor filthy Carpet filthy. Door jams with dirt and dust coming off them. Torn and dented lamp shade. Photos of all items listed with live spider and mosquitoes. I have taken 39 photos of this room if you choose to address this health issue. We notified all my relative to cancel their stay at this hotel. We cancelled our additional stay, request none payment for the first night and reported our safety concerns to front deck were by there was no manager to speak to, my message was supposedly forward to management and we would have a reply within the hr. That call reply never came, I called hotel back 2.5 hrs. later to speak to manager which was unavailable, the receptionist informed me they forgot to call me and I would not be charge for the room. To this day we have not heard an apology from anyone for our inconvenience or concern for...

The front desk Clerk that checked us in was very accommodating and great personality. WHEN YOU ARE AN ELITE CHOICE MEMBER, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RECOGNIZED AND OFFERED A GIFT. I was ok by that though because she was so nice. But if you are a front desk clerk for Choice, you are supposed to be on top of the rules and SOP's . Choice members are allowed up to 2pm late check outs, at hotels discretion. I have stayed there 1 other time and gave them rave reviews, NOT this time. I was accused of stealing a lamp! Partly my fault because being that my occupation is as a front desk clerk, I usually check everything and then call them. I didn't this time due to car accident and I was tired. Then I was accused of smoking in room, NOPE ! NEVER! I would never do that knowing that your deposit will be taking and because I respect hotel rules. So then she said I smoked on balcony. Yes I did and how I was supposed to smoke 20 ft away from building yet the ashtray was 2 doors away from mine and other guests were smoking outside their doors and putting cigarettes out in same ashtray. The morning desk clerk was so rude and did not care that I was an elite member. I had to ask to speak to the manager because I asked for 15 more minutes and she told me Rudely that she would give me 10. She called back and said that Manager approved 1pm , I told her it wouldn't be that long . I call and tell her we are leaving at 12:15 all of a sudden some guy that works there pulls up in golf cart and waits for us to leave then goes in the room we left. Then I get a call full of accusations. So it's up to you if you want to stay there. Just make sure you check your room as soon as you walk in and call them with complaints. You're the guest , GUEST SATISFACTION is supposed to be their...
