The rooms and amenities are the most basic and the bed (very firm) and pillows are not the most comfortable, but the rooms are clean and the staff is very polite. There were no toiletries in the room except liquid hand soap that is bolted to the wall by the sink. The room had blinds rather than curtains so there was no way to get the room truly dark due to the bright street lights outside, though I could see that some rooms have thick curtains in stead of blinds. The road noise was pretty significant and, despite Expedia saying the rooms were all "sound proof," it was easy to make out what people were saying through the walls to outside and there were a lot of people outside chattering all hours of the night. I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms though. The pillows were all different and very lumpy. The bed was too firm for my liking, only had a flat sheet that was one size too small for the matress and a thin fleece blanket like you'd expect to see draped over the foot of the bed as an extra blanket. No comforter or quilt. There was a small single-cup coffee maker with some coffee packets and several disposable coffee cups and packets of cream and sugar, a microwave (didn't use), 2 large mini fridges (one unplugged, didn't use it), and a pretty large flat screen smart TV. Breakfast offerings included white and "everything" bagels and sliced white bread, large sausage patties, country style hash browns, cheerios, and a fruit ring cereal. For beverages they had a pot of coffee, a jug of 2% milk, a jug of oj, a jug of apple juice, and earl grey tea bags. For condiments etc there was a slab of butter for community use (one of the two days), two kinds of jelly packets, a bottle of ketchup , creamer pods, shakers with sugar and powdered creamer, and salt and pepper packets. There was a hot water machine, toaster, microwave, and ice machine. The price was slightly more than what I would consider appropriate for what you get with this stay but it's a decent budget-friendly option. If I could ensure I'd get a room with curtains I'd stay here again. I'd definitely bring my own pillows and blankets next time. My visit was in the middle of the week.

In an effort to save up for what we knew would be a very expensive vacation (Hawaii), we decided to try the cheapest Park/Sleep/Fly we could find near Midway. Bad idea. Among the plethora of negatives: very tight parking lot (we had to park next door at the pharmacy and leave our keys so they could move our car into the hotel parking lot when it cleared out a little); smelly air conditioning; ridiculously loud vent fan in the bathroom; room phone wasn't connected to anything, and when we did find the plug to call the office it still didn't work; no soap in the sink soap dispenser; pull-out couch/bed had oddly short cushions so if you sat on it the padded 2x12 that passed for the front of the couch cut across your legs; small, all but useless pillows; and we don't expect much with hotel breakfasts, but the powdered eggs served here were the worst (driest) I have ever tried; and in a weird Twilight Zone thing, the bedside alarm clock was set off by one hour. Go figure. On the plus side, the guy who drove us to the airport on the way out was very personable and a good driver. On the way back, we arrived at nearly midnight, and they still came and got us, which was a nice surprise; however, it was the desk guy and, since he left the place unattended, he felt compelled to drive like a maniac to get back before anyone noticed he was gone. Oh, and we never saw a roach. Considering this place was NOT cheap by any standards outside of a big city like Chicago ($300+ for two nights), I recommend spending a few extra bucks and finding anywhere else but here.

I gave this motel 3 stars which means it is good and there is nothing wrong with being good. Good for the price range of this type of motel. It is a motel and not a hotel as almost all of their rooms open out to the outdoors, except for two (rooms 199 and 200). I have stayed here numerous times as this is where my company puts up its employees when they need a room for the night. At the time of this posting, it is under new management. A big positive change with the new people is that they FINALLY use fitted sheets on the beds. Before they used just regular sheets that would get undone during the might requiring maid service each day you stay. The rooms are nice for the most part. Some are handicap enabled (mainly a little bigger and with handrails in the bathroom) and you can inquire to get one upon check in or reserve one online. The motel is showing its age but they do keep up on its upkeep. The exterior is a rather depressing dark gray but the interior of the rooms have a nice tan theme. A "L" station is only a block away to the southeast as are numerous restaurants, stores, and a grocery store. This is now a Hispanic neighborhood and I have always felt safe walking it day or night ... though I am 6'3" and 260 pounds so there is that. A breakfast buffet is included in your room price and it is fine. Never changes but fine. If they are fully booked, they tend not to answer their phone after about 10 pm. The front desk, van drivers and maids have always been very nice and helpful. When a friend came to visit me, this is where I put him up.

Let me first say that I have stayed there before a few years ago and the hospitality and cleanliness made up for the fact it was a cheap motel (not hotel) at that point. I thought..."why not try again since we will only be there a few hours?" HORRIBLE MISTAKE!!!!||This is NOT the same staff from a few years ago. They were rude and mostly unhelpful. When we got to the room I literally felt like I was in a horror movie. There are definitely "rooms by the hour" vibes going on here. The bed was stained, mattress was disgusting, holes in the blankets that looked like prison blankets and hair all over the sheets. I called and asked for new bedding and after a long time the attendant knocked on the door and told us she had to take a blanket from another room because she could not find ANY CLEAN LINENS! She also told us the dryer was BROKEN so nothing removes the hair from the bedding. What? I told her I hated this place and wanted a refund. She gave me every excuse as to why that wasn't going to happen. When I went to the bathroom naturally there was only 1 working light and the toilet WAS NOT EVEN CONNECTED TO FLOOR and rocked back and forth so bad you prayed you didn't fall off. The toilet paper holder was even hanging by a thread and you couldn't even put a roll on it. The shower was so gross there was no way in hell I would have ever stepped into it. ||Since we were not given a refund my husband said, "it can't be as bad as you think. Just try it out and we'll be gone early in the morning." Well....IT WAS THAT BAD! After a sleepless night including a dog barking constantly in the room next to us, and the constant cloud of cigarette and pot smoke, I laid there literally in one position overnight because the bedding was not clean and I didn't want to cover myself with it. After several sleepless hours, I said to my husband, "If we can't trust them to refund us, or even get us a clean sheet and pillow, there is NO WAY IN HELL I would leave your car with them!" Clearly he agreed that his car would not be safe and handing his keys over to people who don't care would be a huge mistake. We left and went and sat at the airport and found a good, safe, parking garage. ||I have reached out to Park Sleep and Fly as well as the hotel and literally no one cares at all. Save your money! I saw there is a Hyatt Place that is new down on Cicero and although I have no knowledge of their offered services, I will go there in the future. ||If you really read the reviews it was clear there was some type of management or ownership change in the past few years. The good reviews are old and there is nothing good for the last...

If I could give a ZERO I would. This was the worst MOTEL ( not even a hotel) that I have ever seen!!!||I paid for this room online, including cancellation insurance as we arrived in Chicago.||I called the hotel for a shuttle to be told that the shuttle was out of order but that a driver would pick us up in a car. First of all when I called the " hotel", no one answered, after which I received a call from an unknown number. The person on the other end said he was calling from Carlton Inn Midway on his personal cell phone because the phones were not working.||I should have taken this as a VERY BAD sign, but as we had arrived very late and it was snowing I felt that I could overlook this and took a chance.||We arrived at the hotel and as soon as we entered the lobby, the smell was so horrific, a combination of filth, cigarettes and pine sol.||We were given a key and walked into the room we were assigned. I had asked for a first story room since my sister had a broken foot and was having trouble walking with her orthopedic boot. We had to walk up several steps in the pouring snow to walk into a most disgusting room. The carpet was dirty and soaking wet, the room reeked of cigarettes and there was a cigarette burn on the single dirty brown blanket on the bed, I couldn't even find a clean place to sit to call the front office,||We were taken to a second room, which was flooded. The room was no cleaner than the first and smelled terrible so we went back to the front desk,||No one offered to help us with our luggage and when I asked for a refund, I was told that since I had pre-paid I would have to get hold of EXPEDIA to get my money back,||I explained that I had purchased insurance and was told there was nothing they could do,||So we had a seat in the lobby to make some calls to another hotel, since it was wet and snowing outside, plus no where to sit outside. We were told to hurry because we were not allowed to sit there since we were not staying!!||I was extremely upset and shocked at how we were being treated.||I submitted a dispute with my credit card company for the cost of room and was denied by EXPEDIA because they said there were no cancellations allowed, eventhough i paid for cancellation insurance online when i reserved the room.||My advice is PLEASE DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!! These people are RUDE and have no consideration for anyone. They will STEAL YOUR MONEY, AS WELL AS EXPEDIA!||I am so dissapointed in this entire...

Don’t recommend this hotel!! We are 3 adults and booked a non smoking queen bed room for two nights. Since the booking clearly showed that it is suitable for 3 people and we saw that the hotel has extra fold out beds, we assumed they automatically put one extra bed in our room. It is pretty obvious that 3 grown up people can’t fit into one queen bed. We checked in very late and the employee at the front desk told us that there wasn’t an extra folding bed available for our first night so he looked for another free room and offered it to us as an addition. The problem with that was that the lock wasn’t working correctly and even though we locked the room from the inside you could open it from outside. We told them that we wouldn’t feel safe with that and we’re also not comfortable with one of us sleeping alone in a room. He said that there isn’t another solution but we can have a refund and get an extra bed for our room the next day. One of us had to sleep on the floor cause there wasn’t enough space. Besides that we got bed sheets, pillows and blankets with stains and only one big towel for all of us. The next day there was another employee at the front desk and he was very unfriendly and not helpful at all! He said we booked a queen room and that they just assumed the 3rd person is a child and it’s our fault that we don’t have enough space. He said there’s no way they can give us a refund but also promised us to bring an extra fold out bed to our room in 30 minutes so we have enough space for our second night. We waited but no one came so we left and when we came back that evening there was no additional bed. I again called the front desk to ask for a fold out bed and she said we’ll get it in 30-40 minutes. After 2 hours of waiting there was no sign of getting an extra bed so we decided to just try and find a solution ourselves AGAIN. On top of all that trouble we then discovered bed bugs in our bed. We were so disgusted that we smashed the bug and when we showed a picture of that to the manager he said that‘s not enough evidence cause that could have been anything. We were looking for another accommodation until midnight but almost everything in the city was sold out. If we had found something affordable we wouldn‘t have spent another night at...
