It never easy to find pozole as good as your Abuelita’s or as good as perhaps you make it at home. I have found a few spots over the years that I have liked. I am not sure what took so long to try Peke’s after passing it over and over. My dentist is right next door but one day I was delivering for Uber Eats (So yes it can be DELIVERED) and that’s when I was able to see the food up close by walking inside. I instantly went back that afternoon! There is the Rojo (red) Green (verde) and the blanco (white) all are made with pork. We went traditional and had the RED. There is a medium for I believe 9.99 and a Large for maybe 10.99. In the picture the top one is medium bottom is large. As the trimmings you are served tostadas, avocado, lime, onion, radishes, cabbage, and I asked for cilantro which was not a problem at all. The taste is great. We thought it would be perfect to bring kids also because the heat from the Chile is very well balanced. It’s there for flavor but You can add more at the table. There are no bones in it either. This is by far my favorite #1 and has moved my previous favorite to #2. We also sampled one taco each of the asada. Good flavor and the salsa is good as well. I noticed a table in front of us had a cafecito flight. I am not a coffee drinker but I thought that was pretty cool. I did have the horchata and it was so good! Service is pretty good, not the fastest as they are busy with customers and Uber Eats, but personally it was not an issue for us. We were able to eat uninterrupted and catch up on some chisme LOL. When we needed something we just gave a hand raise and they were pretty attentive. I have had a young man, and two female waitresses so far & there were no issues (I’m big in customer service). 🚨 Thank you Pekes for a...

Came on a Saturday evening around 8pm. The restaurant reached max capacity very quickly!

We ordered the flight of posole which came with three soups: red, white, green posole for $20. We ordered two flights so it was 6 bowls total. It also came with cabbage, radish, onion, lime, avocado, tostadas. Highly recommend everything was delicious!

White posole was not spicy and a tad bit salty, the green was the spiciest and the red had a smokey flavor and less spicy than the green. Overall, my fav was the red posole and my bestie was the red as well.

We ordered a large horchata for less than $5! And I really enjoyed that it wasn't overly sweet like some restaurants make their horchata, this one was perfect and you could taste the cinnamon and the rice!

I would have given five stars but the pozole flight did not come out piping hot it was semi warm. If it would have been really hot like it just came off the stove I would have given it five stars but for some reason it was just warm almost like it had been sitting out for a while. I'm assuming they probably don't want to overcook the meat so they probably don't have it cooking for a continuous amount of time which is probably why it wasn't piping hot.

Overall I think it's an absolute great value! The bowls are a decent size. Instead of getting two flights we should have just got one flight and that would have been enough for me and my bestie to share. We had leftovers since we ordered two flights! But one flight is definitely enough for a couple or two people.

The total cost came out to $49 for two flights of posole which included six bowls of soup and one large horchata.

I will be returning and trying their other dishes.

Parking available in front but it gets...

I’ve been on the good industry for 28 years, I’m always trying different and new restaurants. I found this place a couple of weeks ago a day I was craving pozole. Went there by myself on a Saturday and I was surprised how busy was this place, (this is a good signal) they told me 30 minutes waiting for a table, I decided to take it home. The pozole rojo was actually good and they did gave me all the condiments on the side.

A week later I decided to go back again with a friend of mine, I ordered the green pozole and once again it was good.

The reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is for simple reason that having good is not enough to be a good restaurant, perhaps something that is very important is CUSTOMER SERVICE… That right there is where they failed… I got there I was told to wait, I was totally okay with it… we waited about 40 minutes for a table when they finally texted me the table was ready…. They gave us this table that is literally located right by the door… it was freezing every time the door was opened, I asked them if we could seat somewhere else, they say no. I literally saw a couple who came when I was already seated at the table, they were told the waiting time, they literally came back 10 minutes later are were given a better table… When we finished our lunch we proceed to pay and again I mentioned the lady that I thought it wasn’t fair that they were not able to give us another table… she even said something like it’s this way or you could stay at home…. I felt that was even way more disrespectful and very rude… For this reason, even if the food is good I will not come back to to this place to be treated like that.

Once again food is...

Peke’s Pozole is a hidden treasure that feels like stepping into a scene from a timeless Mexican tale. The moment I walked in, the vibrant murals of Mexican folk art drew me in, and the rustic decor made me feel like I’d stumbled upon a warm, old-world kitchen tucked away in a small village. The ambiance is rich with tradition, like a place where stories and flavors have been passed down for generations. With “pozole” in the name, I knew I had to experience what they’re known for. Let me tell you—it was like discovering the pozole from a fabled legend, the kind whispered about in tales of a distant town that serves the perfect bowl. The first sip was nothing short of magical. The broth was deep and hearty, bursting with layers of flavor that danced on my tongue like an age-old recipe perfected through time. The tender meat was so succulent, it almost seemed to melt into the broth, creating a harmony that took me back to a place I’ve never even been—a comforting feeling, like coming home. Every spoonful was an experience—a blend of textures and tastes that made me feel like I was part of an old story, savoring the finest dish in a hidden kitchen. It’s rare to find food that touches your soul like this, but here, that’s exactly what you get. Peke’s Pozole isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a journey into tradition, flavor, and warmth. If you’re craving something truly special, this is the place to come. I’ll definitely be back, because there’s no way I’m keeping this hidden gem a secret!
