This is a WONDERFUL extended stay hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I'm in the middle of a two week stay and so far I'm very pleased with the experience. I had a minor HVAC issue in the separate bedroom that was not able to be fixed, but it doesn't bother me very much so I don't feel that merits any star deductions. The other (very minor) issue I had was a detached bathtub drain plug but that was fixed in a moment to my satisfaction and again I don't think that's serious enough to knock anything off my high rating of this property.
The refrigerator has a mercifully quiet motor, unlike the at the Candlewood Suites across the street, which has such obnoxiously loud appliances that you'd want to tear your hair out every time they switched on... The kitchenette also has an actual STOVE with an OVEN! Very cool! Two months at a different extended stay hotel nearby had me dreading another microwaved meal but I was very pleasantly surprised to see an oven here. Thanks Marriott!
Fluffy pillows, a very comfortable bed, a large window, a chest of drawers, a wall mounted television, and a very nice, spacious closet complete with elfa (Container Store) shelving/storage/organization are the highlights of the separate bedroom. I really loved having my living and sleeping areas separated by the (locking) door. The bedroom has separate heating/air conditioning controls as well.
The televisions are those neat ones with Netflix built in, so that was nice too. The desk has lots of cubby holes to put things in and has a smaller desk that rolls out from under it for more space which is a nice addition. I would suggest maybe the hotel add a couple more mirrors throughout the rooms...especially in the bedroom! Come on guys, the only mirror is in the bathroom. And it's behind the door, so it's a little bit irritating when getting ready. But again, I was so pleased with this place that I wouldn't dream of knocking a star off for such a minor thing.
One last gripe I had that was too minor for me to consider lowering my rating for was the laundry facilities...they make you pay for it. Two dollars for the wash, two dollars or more for the dryer. I did not like that very much, considering the Candlewood Suites I stayed at previously had gratis laundry. However, I decided it was a good thing because it made me think about how much laundry I was doing and kept me from over using it, which I have a terrible habit of doing at home. Anything that helps the earth is fine by me, and forcing me to pay to do laundry had the effect of reducing unnecessary washer usage. Thanks again, Marriott 😜
Overall I thought this was the best extended stay hotel I've ever had the pleasure to live in, and i will certainly be returning in the future. Maybe in the summer when the...
Read moreOverpriced and under kept. Property was very run down. After checking in, we had to make our way through the very small lobby by squeezing by a group of people who I'm assuming are extended stay residents. They were monopolizing the limited space in the entry way and utilized the area as though it was their personal living room. We had to ask them politely to move so that we could roll our luggage down the hall -- a request I thought the manager would have made on our behalf as he saw them blocking the path. We switched guest rooms after the first room had stains on the bathroom walls and peeling floors. The second room had a cleaner bathroom; however, several scratches in the paint on the walls, stains on the lamp shades, couch, chair and brown spots on the bedsheets. The landline phone in the room didn't work in either room - which was inconvenient when we attempted to call the front desk for assistance. The night manager seemed frustrated when we asked to be switched from our first (dirty) room. Towels were not available in the pool area, when we called we were told we could pick some up in the office. We also were left with a mostly used toilet paper roll in the bathroom for our 4-night stay and had to request additional toilet paper. One day, the toilet clogged (no fault of the property), but when maintenance came to plunge the toilet, they left water all over the bathroom floor and toilet seat (gross!). Also, 2 out of 4 nights we arrived back at our building to find a rock propping the building door open which doesn't make you feel too secure. Access should be key entry only or visitors should be personally escorted by a guest. We removed the rock both times. Overall, the breakfast staff was friendly and though the "buffet" was well picked over when we went to breakfast, they readily changed the orange juice dispenser for us when we let them know it was dispensing clear liquid. This hotel does not meet the standards of any Marriott property I've ever stayed at and I was very surprised by how poorly it has been maintained. I received a response from the manager thanking me for my feedback on the survey I was sent concerning my stay, but he wasn't attentive enough to spell my name correctly even though it's spelled out in both my email address and on the message he received. I replied back, spelling his name wrong to bring attention to how careless it seems to spell someone's name wrong that is spelled out right in...
Read moreI had a great 2 week stay at this TownePlace location. Staff was amazing and the living space was in good working condition and just what I was looking for (I wanted a place to cook my own meals and feel like home for the 2 weeks). I came for a hiking trip and the location was perfect to get North, South, and West for all the great hiking trails. Not as bad of traffic in the area as some places in Denver, yet it was close to everything, including downtown for those of you who like to see the city. The stove and refrigerator and cooking space was nice. Knifes, utensils, pots and pans, tupperware, coffee maker (bigger size), dishwasher, dishes, bowls, cups, strainer, cutting board, dish soap provided. Bring a scrubby for the dishes if you like to clean your own since those aren't provided. The closets were excellent. Loved the space and drawers. The shower was WONDERFUL! Nice shower head and pressure (important!!), and nice size and updated shower. Nice soft water too that left hair and skin feeling soft. Nice full sized hairdryer. They had Netflix! You have to have a Netflix account to use it, but what a nice option. Nice TV size and quality. Bed comfortable. Good climate control. Quiet AC and heat and worked well. Quiet for sleeping....AKA, no road noise. I could however hear everything happening outside my room in the hallway. This wasn't a huge deal since it's overall a nice quiet place, but just an observation. I was never woken up by noise. Good light blocking curtains. Fresh and clean smelling rooms very much appreciated and important. Nice new bathroom and kitchen flooring. Nice desk space and table. Nice lighting throughout the suite. I had pretty much everything I needed. Loved that I could use the athletic club down the road! It was so nice. Take advantage of this great perk! Pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, workout equipment, racket ball, etc. Breakfast was quite good. Good selection. Waffles, 2 types of eggs, some sort of breakfast meat every day, cereal, oatmeal with fixings, different types of yogurt, juices, cheese, muffins/breakfast pastry, toast. These are the thinks I remember. Again, the staff was truly the best I have ever encountered which was key for me and kind of rare. I would absolutely...
