The people were nice enough, however I booked this hotel because of the great reviews on cleanliness and it was a pretty decent price. I like that they send texts throughout your stay to ask how things are going...so I was honest with them. Our room looked as if someone had hit the bourbon trail pretty hard and had gotten sick throughout the room. Not good. I had to wipe down the lampshade next the bed as soon as we got in at almost midnight, and there was evidence of it on the alarm clock as well as down the side of the nightstand. It was also all over the rolling chair at the desk, so we put a towel over the chair seat and I wiped the desk down as well. Someone's used dental pick was still under the desk as well. I should have walked back down as soon as we entered, but the kids (9&7) were SOOO tired. I shared all of this via text and they apologized and said they would have someone clean it while we were out for the day. Fair enough. I also asked for some more washcloths to be left. When we got back late that night though the only way we knew someone had been in there was because the room smelled like air fresher (way too heavy) and they had moved the towel I put on the chair onto the desk I had already wiped down...And just left it there. Eww. So we threw that towel in the dirty pile and grabbed another. No one had left washcloths. I let the front desk know that everything was the same, minus the towel being moved from the chair to the desk, and I asked if I could get the washcloths. Their response was simply that they would have the washcloths waiting at the desk. Very brief exchange I thought considering they knew we weren't happy with the cleanliness, or lack of, our room. They didn't offer to clean it again, nor offer a different room. Just that I could pick up the washcloths. ️ okay.
The positives were that the breakfast staff was friendly, breakfast was basic, but nice, the kids enjoyed the pool and we thought it was nice that they had a lift chair to accommodate those who cannot navigate the stairs to the pool. The location was also pretty convenient. Bottom line though, we wouldn't stay there again nor any other Best Western. We're not really ones to complain, so we took it as a lesson learned. It was our first time in this chain of hotels and we won't return if this is the level of cleanliness at which their standard is set. **I forgot to mention they did text in theor first response that they added 1,000 bonus points to an awards account for me. I didn't think much of it because i never remember to use that stuff anyway, but I wanted to add that to be fair to them... BTW, I googled it and 1,000 points is equal to $5. 🤣 Like I said the price of the hotel was fair, so I would have gladly given them $5 more for a...

We chose the Best Western based upon reviews & locations in order to rest for one night on a trip. Rest was not what we obtained. Upon entering the room, we discovered sticky floors & hair still in the bathroom. We just cleaned it up; & laid down. Middle of the night there was a barking dog on our floor, and for some reason the room seems warmer and very humid. Again, no complaint to the front desk. My husband used the restroom at 5:00 in the morning & came back to bed. We were supposed to arise at 8:00 but at 6:00 AM, the alarm clock rang, having been set by a previous guest. When my husband got up to use the restroom again, there was a surge of water (he didnt flush) causing the toilet back up on him; literally. He had urine & water on him. I immediately called the front desk, but they said it would be sometime before someone could come up with a plunger. I insisted on it being sanitized since urine and water had overflowed onto the floor, but there was no housekeeping available at that time. I then asked for another room so that our family of five could at least use the restroom and my husband could now take and. shower. He obliged. I asked for a refund based upon the circumstances but he was unable to do so. The manager came in at seven and he did provide a refund of the trundle bed, state taxes in a portion of the room. He said that that was all that he was able to do according to his limitations. He was very kind and told me that I would have to reach out to corporate. I called the corporate; & the representative said she would file a ticket. I am asking that the entire balance be refunded. The Phone case # was Cr294086.
Since I heard nothing as of today, which is the fourth business day since the incident, I attempted to call to follow up with customer service, only to be put on hold for over twenty minutes, with no one answering. I called the corporate number in the email, only to be told I had to go through customer service.
Again, we ask for the balance to be refunded.
Thank you in...
Read moreI actually live in Lexington ~ about 10 minutes from this new gem of a hotel added to the many hotels here in Lexington. I decided to have a fun day with my 7 year old granddaughter. We made reservations here. Check in was slow (they have only been open 3 weeks) but the manager explained this was their first full weekend where they were at 100% occupancy, so they were adjusting to the number of staff needed.
Our big thing is always the pool. We immediately put on our swimsuits and headed to the pool. The water was the perfect temperature; the pool area was nice and clean with a good supply of towels available. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
I LOVED the guest rooms. The flooring was a laminate or hardwood and all the furniture was a material that could be wiped down and sanitized easily. The walk in shower was massive and dispensers on the shower wall were available with liquid soap, shampoo and condition in a light lemony scent. The towels were big and fluffy. The beds were very comfortable and the flat screen television was mounted in a perfect location on the wall. A keurig coffee maker, along with a refrigerator was available in the room. The only thing missing was a microwave.
Our room heat wasn’t working and it was 38 degrees outside. The manager, Mr. Rajni Rama came up and checked our heat. He couldn’t fix it and because the hotel was full, we couldn’t be moved to another room. I explained that we lived in Lexington and could easily go home as long as he would fully refund us. He insisted we stay and enjoy our fun day. Mr. Rama, who I’m sure was super busy, went to Walmart and purchased a ceramic heater for our room while they continued to work to fix the heat. In a short time we had warmed up. Mr. Rama apologied profusely for any inconvenience to us, and also reimbursed us a portion of our room rate, which I told him was unnecessary (but he insisted).
We will definitely come here again for another fun outing. Super nice, and accommodating...
