Visited 11/16/19 on a quick family get away. Stayed specifically for the "water park" which appears geared more towards smaller children. Overall our family was very disappointed in this hotel. I researched thoroughly and all the reviews are very good, so we went in with good expectations. Unfortunately we were immediately let down. This hotel is cheap cheap cheap! The rooms are bare bones and it is very apparent were done cheaply. I was expecting your standard middle of the road hotel given the pricing and reviews, but I would consider this a low end hotel. I was mostly let down by how beat up and dirty this hotel is. The reviews from the hotel proper website even from recently rate these categories high, but man I'm not sure what people are looking at or reviewing. Nearly every surface in the hallways, and room itself are scuffed, dinged, scratched, or otherwise in bad shape. It's not horrific, but definitely noticeable. This place need a good coat of paint and some TLC stat as it is very quickly becoming run down. Our room wasn't well vacuumed however our beds were clean and the sheets appeared to be fresh. The bathroom had a few small pieces of trash still on the floor as well.

Please be aware that apparently this place is also very popular for birthday parties. We walked into TWO birthday parties in full swing so the place was a complete zoo. The worst part is one (or both) of them was in the pool area so the pool was literally over run with 20-30 kids. With an 11 month old and 3 year old the pool was nearly unusable with fear of getting run over by the other kids. They were not disrespectful but the sheer number of people in this pool made it extremely uninviting. There was zero supervision from the hotel staff outside of the guy up running the water slide, who was only monitoring that.

It appears we may have stayed during a busy weekend and as such the price was inflated. Our expectations went along with the price and thus were higher than they should have been. I see the pricing has now dropped significantly and is more in line with what this hotel offers. That really only adds insult to our injury though.

The pool area would be decent and perfect for smaller kids if not over crowded. I did also notice that they installed extra super bright lights on the North side of the hotel in the parking light to provide extra protection at night, which is nice. Outside of those two things this is a bare bones low level hotel. Breakfast was free but nothing to speak of what so ever.

We did not have any major issues per se, but having this be a fun family get away with a great water park for kids was most definitely NOT that. We absolutely will not be staying here again and I don't recommend paying more than about $85/ night for this place as that is all it is worth (we paid a lot more than that). We will most definitely never be staying here again. Stay at your own risk, the current reviews are extremely misleading...

We booked rooms for 4 nights Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights was great! The hotel was quite friendly the pool was great we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while the kids played in the kiddie pool. On Saturday night we came in from our family event at 7pm the minute we pulled up u could hear screaming and hollering and the smell of marijuana. Which I understand it's accepted in those States up there in that area which is fine we're on the second floor which is a no-smoking floor wrong when we step foot off the elevator the smell hit us it was so horrible I got completely sick it smelled as if a skunk was loose on the floor. When I'm on a non-smoking floor I expect not to smell any form of smoke not even the smell of marijuana me and my family wanted to go to the pool to enjoy our last night there but the pool was so packed it didn't even seem safe so we thought we would wait to see if it would die down the same people said in the hot tub for over 2 hours which on the rules state that you cannot be in the hot tub more than 15 to 20 minutes at a time. During this entire time kids and adults running up and down the hall pounding on the walls the third floor you can hear them running up and down the Halls partying all in the rooms the smell of marijuana smelling from the rooms. We didn't get to sleep until almost 3:00 a.m. I had called the front desk and complained about it even asked if they could follow the rules about the pool and the hot tub ask if after 10:00 if we could just swim for 30 minutes being that we had not had an opportunity to go in because the pool had been so packed and unsafe for my little one and we didn't even have opportunity to get into the hot tub on our last night there the girl at the front desk refused and said that everybody had a right to the pool which I understand but if you have an entire hotel in the pool and it is not safe for any more to be in there you should be considerate of the other ones that want to be in there safely you should also be considerate of the other ones staying there that don't want to smell the marijuana and considerate of the ones that want to get sleep and not allow those children and families to be running up and down the hallways pounding on walls and partying. The rooms were nice the housekeepers were amazing Most staff was very nice except for the one staff member during that one night. The breakfast in the morning was good they definitely had a lot to offer the hotel is in a very convenient area so if you need to go pick up a few things there's plenty of...

The check-in experience at this Sleep Inn was THE WORST! I told the desk clerk (Zee) my name and spelled it for him. After he stared at the computer screen for several minutes without saying anything to me, I asked if he had found our reservation. He said, “Oh, yeah”. After a few more minutes he handed me our room keys. I asked if he needed to see the credit card I was paying with, and he said that I had reserved the room using points. I informed him that I had not used points to reserve the room, but he insisted that I did. I tried to show him my reservation on my phone, as well as my Choice Hotels account that showed no point activity. He didn’t bother to look at my reservation, but insisted that I had used points and said I could step aside and call Choice Hotels if I wanted. I told him that was an inconvenience to me, and asked to speak to the manager. He informed me that he was the manager. I called Choice Hotels and spoke with a representative who confirmed that I had not used points for the reservation, but was going to pay by credit card. I put her on speaker phone and asked her to repeat this information for the hotel manager. After she informed the manager, he gave her the account number that he was booking me in on, and it belonged to a different person. He then said that he saw what the problem was; we both had the same first and last name initials. However, our names were totally different! If he would have paid attention when I spelled my name and tried to show him my reservation, this problem would have been resolved immediately. But, he didn’t! Instead, he caused me inconvenience, basically called me a liar when I told him I didn’t use points to make the reservation, and he offered no apology for his error, nor did he offer any compensation for my inconvenience. I am a Platinum member with Choice Hotels and stay at Choice Hotels several times per year. I don’t expect to be treated this poorly, and it is not acceptable!

Once we got to our room, we had difficulty getting connected to the Internet, and once we did it was not very good. The room was OK, but the bed was somewhat uncomfortable. The breakfast was only mediocre at best

We have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past, primarily so grandkids could use the indoor water park. However, this will most likely be the last time we waste our money at this hotel, as there are too many other...

To start, I’m not just a 1 star reviewer. My review history speaks for itself. However this hotel deserves nothing more than the 1 star Im giving it. We had a large group coming in to town from out of state. We contemplated going to Great Wolf Lodge but the financial burden was going to be a bit much. So we decided to go with this “cheaper” option. Cheap is what we got. Buyer beware. We booked three rooms and was told over the phone we would be able to get the rooms “relatively close” to each other upon checking in. Apparently that means in the same building as 2 rooms were assigned at the opposite ends of the hall on 1 floor and the third room on a completely different floor. The desk clerk informed us that the “computer system was down” and they were unable to switch the rooms around once we arrived because she was worried it would invalidate our reservation. Whatever that means. After hauling all of our stuff in our rooms we found that 1 of the rooms AC was inoperative. So while the rest of the family changed over to go to the water park I went down to inform the “helpful” front desk clerk of the situation. Apparently the clerk thought I just didn’t know how to operate a thermostat because that’s what I was told was the issue. The clerk came up to the room and turned the unit on and operated the thermostat and told me to wait a few minutes and then inform them if nothing changes. Brilliant. I waited. It didn’t change. I went back to inform them and only then was given another room via the computer system that was down 20 min ago that had now miraculously healed itself. I guess. After moving all of our belongings to the new room I went down to the water park. I will let the photos I’ll attach below speak for themselves. Make sure you and the family are up on your Dtap vaccine. The staff monitoring pool wasn’t any more friendly than the front desk clerk but I suppose sitting 20 feet up on a potential death trap water slide that’s on the verge of collapsing at any given moment due to excessive structural corrosion might make anyone grumpy. I honestly don’t know how the state allows this place to operate that slide. Next time we will just spend the money and stay at the place that actually makes you feel like they want you to be there and provide a better and safer product.

We got checked in got to our room walked in and the smell hit us right away! The room smelled awful like wet moldy towels tried to look pass the smell and enjoy our time. But the longer we where in the room the worst it got there was food under every peace of furniture food and god know what else splatters on the walls stains all over the bedding. We went down to the pool which was clean and had great staff working in there. We then went back to the room and I opened the closet which was cover in black mold everywhere. I went down to the front desk and told the lady working she was kind and switched our room and ask to just bring down the key when we were done switching rooms. When returning the room key there was another staff member who seemed annoyed and asked why was returning my key and I said we switched room and was going to leave it as that that then he asked why and he seemed to be getting more and more upset so I said because there was black mold the yelled and me to put it the key down right there other guest stopped to sate as he then stop off out side the next day went down to get our room key fix and he walked out rolled this eyes and said I’m not dealing with her and went to the back was very loudly cursing and complaining honestly most of the staff where amazing other then him but was quite disappointed With how unsanitary And just unhealthy the conditions are in a family hotel would not recommend to anyone if I’m being honest and would recommend if you stay check your room for black mold.

Positive: Customer service was polite both over the phone and in person. “Water park” seems promising, hence the reason we decided to stay here. Young man at top of water slide extremely personable/friendly. Water park could use maintenance in more ways I want to explain, but kids had a fantastic time!! Negative: Room and hotel are obviously in need of damage control!! Would love to have a nice clean room to stay in instead of grungy “2-star” quality. Room also smells of mold. Cost was 201.00 with a military discount because of the holiday weekend. Quite a rip if you ask me. The “clean remote” is covered in sticky residue and has fur on it. Shower extremely slippery; no non-skid left; both kids slipped and fell!! Shower curtain moldy and needed replacing. Although we were given wrist bands to enter, half the people in the water park did not have one on. The card entry to the water park was inoperable and anyone could’ve walked in; which is exactly what happened. Bedding was fresh, mattress on the other hand were stained with God knows what. Could’ve been chocolate, blood etc. Final thoughts: In hindsight, we should’ve stayed at a different hotel and just paid the $20.00/person.
