Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lincoln Southeast — Hotel in Lincoln

I stayed for 9 consecutive nights. First night at pool although there was no one swimming beforehand it obviously had not been cleaned because there was cake and food everywhere. Due to Covid-19 there were pre-scheduled swim times for each room. I asked prior what the cleaning schedule would be for maid service (trash, towels, ect.) I was told it was mandatory every 3 days. Would have been great except even on day 4 i stopped the cleaning woman and asked if i could bring out the dirty towels and get clean ones, i stopped her in the hall, she said she didnt have room in her laundry basket and would come back, nor did she have room for trash. This happened two separate days neither time did either woman come back nor was it ever done. Front desk was out of towels, I did ask there as well. The breakfast was ridiculous for the price of the stay every day a prepacked bag of food not even a change to the cereal bar (apple, cinnamon toast crunch cereal bar, bottle of water, blueberry muffin). Before i even booked this stay I called to confirm that even regardless of Covid-19 they had continental breakfast and was guaranteed they did which was obviously not the case. Lastly I did laundry 3 separate occasions (3 different days) the laundry room was not cleaned once because the exact same pile of food and trash was on the floor all 3 days. I will be contacting corporate as well. This was just a few of the surprisingly disappointing...

We had a problem with our reservation through a middle-man agency so I called the hotel directly. I was connected to Chris who handled the corrections to our reservation expertly and then transferred me to Dom, the GM, just to insure I was happy with everything. On the way to the hotel I had some questions regarding the 'neighborhood' and the nearby services. Chris answered the phone and remembered me - he answered all of our questions and helped my daughter and I find a great nail salon close by (EVERYTHING is close by!). By the time we arrived, I felt right at home and was welcomed by Chris. Our keys were ready and once again the staff went out of their way to arrange an additional room. Of course, while traveling with kids is a joy - there is usually a hiccup. Once we found we had no tooth dust I called down to the front desk. If course, there was Chris with a box full of supplies most often forgotten. No charge he said as I handed him my credit card - WE LOVE THE MARRIOTT - we have the most forgotten items for our guests. Dom has this hotel so well staffed! As an office manager I understand that the staff reflects my attitude and Dom's standards showed in how well the staff handled every little thing. Iced lime-infused water, hot and fresh coffee even at midnight and spotless rooms! I can't wait to see breakfast. Thank you Lincoln...

The room was nice. Air worked great (heat wave outside). A typical room in a hotel. The bathroom shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled amazing, and I would say they are comparable or better than the salon product I use.

The gentleman who checked us in the evening of August 21st was amazing. I called later to get his name. Lou said he was new and was one of the most professional people I have interacted with on my 10 day vacation. He was dressed very nicely, and was very kind and accommodating to customers. (Also the person ahead of me)He had a genuine smile on his face the entire time. Answered all of my questions. This young man should be recognized as these qualities are very hard to find these days. (As a mother, I would say his mother would be very proud of him).

The only not perfect thing was the TV in the morning was not tuned to anything and couldn't find the remote. The person at the front desk was busy. (I had to look for a negative lol) Breakfast was good. Had waffles, eggs, eggs, and sausage prewrapped sandwiches if someone needed a to go option. The oatmeal had multiple options to toppings. The pool was small but was heated, and the fitness room was small but ok for basic needs. I have no real complaints. I...
