My husband and I stayed in the Towne Place Suites Lincoln North earlier this month while visiting a friend in town, & we had a delightful stay! The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were warmly greeted by Angela (the head of housekeeping) & Becky (at the front desk). They seemed genuinely happy to see us, & were extremely helpful with all the questions we had about driving in town, places to eat, & things to see and do. Their recommendations were all spot-on, & we really appreciate their assistance and hospitality. Every staff member we met, from our housekeepers to the breakfast area server to the front desk clerks, was friendly and attentive. “How can I help you?” and “Is there anything you need?” were frequent refrains. We were thrilled to find that our room was spacious and welcoming, with a king bed, sitting area & desk, & a large step-in closet. There was also a small galley kitchen with a cooktop, microwave, sink & fridge, along with lots of cabinets & drawers holding kitchen items & utensils. The bathroom was bright & clean, with plenty of countertop & cabinet/shelf space. Even though we were on the first floor & close to an outside door, it was always very quiet & we never heard any noise (except for one morning when apparently the folks next door were packing up suitcases that banged against the wall). The room was very clean with fresh linens & updated furniture. The property is at the north edge of town, just off I-80 and on a major street leading to the city center. It’s next door to a coffee shop, close to fast-food restaurants & a gas station, a few miles from a supermarket, & about 15 minutes from the Haymarket district. Despite its proximity to major streets and the interstate, we always felt very safe; it is well-lit with clear paths & key-secured outer doors. The hotel has excellent Wi-Fi service, & offers a good standard breakfast (with egg dishes, breakfast meats, self-serve waffles, & the usual assortment of pastries, cereals, yogurt, juices and coffee/tea). They also have a very nice indoor pool & gym room with machines in good repair. The front desk staff was diligent to ensure that we received the best rate during our stay. (Since our friend had made the reservation for us, we didn’t have the opportunity to discuss rates with the reservation agent.) We appreciate their thoughtfulness in offering us the best “deal” on our lodging. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & will definitely return on our next...
Read moreStopped here on our trip home from Christmas. It has great reviews so I was hopeful that it would be great. However, the lobby smelled like vomit when we checked in. Our shower curtain was dirty and black on the bottom, the carpet was sticky, and the breakfast in the morning was cold. But all of that wasn’t what really bothered me, and I probably would’ve overlooked it all if the following didn’t happen. We found small spots of blood on our comforter and called the front desk to get a new one. She took our room number and said she’d get one for us. After about 20 minutes waiting for the new blanket, my husband went to the front desk to see what was going on. The woman working was sitting there reading a book, not even bothering looking for a new blanket. When my husband asked her to get a new one, she tried moving us to a new room. We appreciated the gesture, but had our 6 mo daughter with us and did not want a new room, just a blanket. She was obviously annoyed and upset, and reluctantly took the blanket and gave us a new one. Im sorry, but we are the ones who found this blood on your hotels blanket and your reaction was to not even bother getting a new one for us and then giving us trouble when we come up to the front and ask for something that you as a hotel employee should be providing. Very disappointed in Marriott. This is the second time we have had a negative experience at a Marriott suites and will likely...

We were hoping for a shower, but were very tired and I went out and got my wife and all of our things. A new desk clerk greeted us and told us that there was, in fact, an accessible room with a roll-in shower for slightly more. We happily paid, and went to room (419) to find that it had a shower that no wheelchair could get into, and that my wife's chair would barely fit in and there were no safety bars. Then we went back downstairs, and told the clerk that it wasn't an accessible room, couldn't work for us, but we'd take the one with the bath. "Sorry, that one just sold!!" - supposedly in those 5 minutes. Then he assured me that our money paid would be refunded, but didn't move or give me any kind of refund receipt. I figured he meant they would just send me the refund notification by email, and we were able to find a nice room at the Countryside Suites. The next morning, I checked email and found 2 emails confirming our bill and stay, so had to waste more time going to confirm our refund. First talked to the desk clerk, who confirmed that the room we'd been assigned was not wc accessible, then waited for a manager to check, I guess because they thought we might have stayed there. All in all, it was a large waste of time. Surprising...
