Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by a sense of cleanliness and freshness that set the tone for our entire experience. First impressions matter, and this hotel certainly knows how to make a good one. It's not a super fancy place. However, for the price, I was extremely impressed. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise, offering a wide array of delicious options to start our day off right. From fluffy scrambled eggs and savory sausage to indulgent gravy and biscuits, there was something to satisfy every craving. And let's not forget the fluffy pancakes, crispy cereal, and mouthwatering muffins that rounded out the spread—a true feast for the senses. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the warmth and hospitality of Erica, the manager. Her friendly demeanor and genuine kindness made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Whether we needed assistance with our room or recommendations for local attractions, Erica was always there to help with a smile. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel like an afterthought, Erica and her team go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels valued and appreciated. Our stay at this hotel was not just a temporary lodging; it was an experience that left a lasting impression, and we can't wait to return.

First off, hospitality is not just a suggestion here...it is shown actively from the moment we arrived. ERICA is the most genuinely welcoming and helpful human, and having even a passing greeting with her during our stay was everything. Our room was comfortable and clean, bathroom well stocked with towels and fresh. Some hallway noise during the Saturday to Sunday night, but nothing unexpected in terms of guest foottraffic. Ample offerings for breakfast. Fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee tea hot chocolate, etc..... Erica even made fresh a coffee pot when we arrived late, as coffee is offered 24 hours. GYM!! Empty, so plenty of room for early early morning workout. Free Wi-Fi so Playlist friendly with phone to keep me going. Location, well, convenient and lots of fast food nearby if you wanted that, but a more hardscrabble part of town, so walking in evening or at darker hours not really a great choice to grab something at gas station convenience store or for a snack. There is ample parking if you have a rental car or own vehicle. Jessie was the other associate on duty that we met, very helpful and courteous as well. But Erica set and keeps a high standard of personal service and attention to the guest's stay, and it was a pleasure to have met her, and we enjoyed the stay.

Overall has a great experience at this hotel. It has been closed for a long time but talking to the attendant they have revamped everything and remodeled and are working on having a great establishment again. And it really shows. The front lobby is very clean and setup with a more modern look. The hallways are newly carpeted and the rooms are taken well care of The only complaint (which is picky) is you can tell it's an older building as there is still rust and other issues but they are supremely minor. The bed is nice and soft. The pillow are small but very comfy and a good bit of firm. The TV is large enough. I don't like they use a clean remote as it has no input button to change to HDMI for streaming my laptop. However behind the infra-red sensor there is a button that can be used to change it. It was a great experience and would come back again.

Honestly, I booked this room with great trepidation. If you've ever rented a budget- friendly hotel room in the Little Rock area, you likely know that the struggle is real. Immediately upon my arrival however, my fears were put to rest. The owner, who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. She took the time to go over the amenities (which include a very nice indoor pool and a complimentary breakfast buffet, just to name a couple) with me and encouraged me to reach out if I found anything lacking. My non-smoking room was neat, orderly, and very clean. Surprisingly, it smelled like a non-smoking room should - that is to say, fresh and clean. Included in the room was a king bed, microwave, mini fridge, and of course a TV. Also found was a single-serve coffee maker. Everything was in working order, and the bed was quite comfortable. Later, while walking through the hotel, I encountered several busy staff members, who were all quite personable and friendly. Both check-in and check out were hassle free. I didn't avail myself of the free breakfast buffet, but many fellow reviewers who did seem to agree it is quite good. My only nit-picky gripe concerns the in-room coffee. The coffee maker itself worked well enough. The issue I had was that the room was stocked with four coffee setups, two regular and two decaf. Each setup contains the coffee pack intended for use with the coffee maker, one sweetener packet, one sugar packet, one creamer packet, one napkin, and a stirrer. Honestly, one sweetener/sugar and one small creamer packet per cup just isn't enough. Also, there was only one paper coffee cup in the room, which I assume was an oversight. Aside from this however, I have no complaints. All in all, I am very pleased to have (finally) found a quality, inexpensive Little Rock hotel that checks all the boxes. I will absolutely be back to Best Western SW the next time I need accomodations. Great bang for the buck, highly...

We arrived and found no face towels in our room, my husband went down to see if he could get some, and had to explain that we never had any in our room to begin with, after which the front desk personnel seemed to not "be able to find any" eventually he came back with towels so thin you could see through them. Well for 90.00 nightly I was kind of taken aback! But I was tired and we had a long ride so we went on. The next day we discovered we weren't gonna be able to leave Arkansas right away as we has planned so we caught an Uber and grabbed food, came back to our vehicle and I needed to use the restroom.. I stepped inside and asked the lady at the front desk if I could use the lobby restroom, she asked me if I had a reservation? I replied ma'am we literally just stayed here last night. May I used your restroom? meanwhile she was checking in a customer he was nodding to her as if to say, let her use the restroom, she never answered me, so I proceeded to the side hallway because it was either that or a less dignified step to follow. As I walked out, she immediately asked me if I was checking in?, I said ma'am all I did was use your restroom. She tells me I can't come in there unless I have a room. My husband and stepson were in the seated area to the side as it was 30 degrees and raining outside and we had literally just got out of the uber!! She told my husband he could not sit in there, he said I was waiting on my wife and we just wanted to keep warm, very politely might I add. She asked do you have a reservation? Almost as if she was just stuck on check in or reservation in order to even walk in there.. I had never experienced such foolishness in my life. Especially if you weren't just walking in off the street casually. But as I said we had just checked out not 5 hrs prior and paid almost 100 dollars for the room with no face towels.. but I guess I committed a sin for needing to pee and wash my...

Do not book at the Best Western on Shackleford.

They are money hungry feins

I made the mistake of booking a room here for one night, thinking it would be a safe and quiet place for my friends and me to hang out for a few hours. I only brought two people with me—there was no noise, no disruption, and we were respectful when entering the building. Yes, I booked a room for one person, but I’ve stayed at several hotels—including other Best Western locations—and have never once been told I couldn’t have a guest unless they were registered to the room. When I explained this to the front desk staff, I was met with nothing but rudeness.

We hadn’t even gone up to the room when the employee abruptly stopped us by the elevator and said, “No, get out. They can’t be here.” His tone was completely unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive. The situation could have been handled in a much more respectful and courteous manner.

To make matters worse, when I asked for a refund—because I was never informed of this policy before purchasing the room—I was denied. Instead, the staff member tried to upsell me a two-bed room for an additional $36.

I’ve reached out to Best Western corporate about this experience, and while they’ve been completely understanding and responsive, no one at the hotel is returning calls or emails, and I still haven’t been able to speak with a manager.

This was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish, and I will not be booking with Best...
