I’m sure this may be due to staff shortages. However, mornings should have at least 3 or 4 people, because that’s one of the busiest times of the day. Whenever Ms. Kayla does not work, the wait times are about 15 minutes AFTER you place your order in the drive thru. When you get to the window, there is still an additional wait for your order. The customer service (professionalism) is fine. It’s just when people have to be at work at 8, there’s one car behind you and only two cars ahead of you with each only having one order, things should operate a little smoother and faster. I’ve been to other Sonic restaurants where the person taking the orders would literally assist with getting orders to customers in an effort to speed things up. Ms. Kayla will literally bring your order to your vehicle and take payment, rather than have you waiting 15 minutes for ONE breakfast burrito or ONE toaster sandwich. I placed my usual order at 7:40 and received it at 7:57. The two cars ahead of me pulled off, due to the long wait. I had to be at work at 8. Luckily, this Sonic is very close to my job. I suggest either putting more employees on the 1st shift and possibly allowing them to work some additional time, so they can make more money, and customers can continue patronizing this Sonic and arrive to work on time. If I could give Ms. Kayla 5 stars, I would. She was not there today. If she had been, the wait would have been like 5 minutes or less. Please, keep her around. Again, good customer service (professionalism) in the mornings, but the teamwork needs to be strongly encouraged and enforced, so it is a win-win for everyone. I do not like leaving negative reviews. However, for me to do so, the experience must have been horrible and/or has become a pattern. In this case, it had become a pattern, and today was the time...
Read moreI was so disappointed when me & my mother took advantage (via text message to us) of their .99 cents corndogs for that day only, all day! Great right, !? Wrong. Maybe it's me but I remember their corn dogs being pretty darn good, with a plump weiner and freshly fried with wonderful batter that was freshly dropped in the fryer and served to you still so hot you had to give it a minute to goggle it up like you want to!! The bread is a big part and can ruin even a decent weiner (it's the hotdogs of course, I just enjoy throwing Weiner out there!). So final senario-- we ate some attempt at a GREAT corn dog FROM SONIC--but it was definitely not fresh, the breading was thinner & more greasy than flavored or anything with a spongy feel & a small little chewy weiner. 🤭
I used to love anything and everything Sonic had to offer. They were a little more pricey back in the day, when I was growing up, compared to the dollar menu offered at all the other fast foods joints (except Wendy's I'd say & awesome little roadside dairy bars or an A&W!) So, conclusion is they have definitely went down on size and quality of their once wonderfully prepared & served to you by a waiter in roller skates selections. Still...
Read moreI ordered through the app after work and I was greeted at the window by the new manager Chelsea. She made me feel welcome with her smile, she was friendly, and we shared a laugh which was exactly what I needed after a long stressful day at work.
She said a mistake was made with my order but it actually worked in my favor. She asked me if I was ok with the mistake and later said sometimes people get really upset. To me, it all depends on how the message is sent - she was so genuinely friendly with me that there's no way I could have been upset. That moment of honest care for me as the customer means a lot. In the past it wasn't the case, so I'm very happy to know that level of service has returned.
She didn't know but I was really stressed and got the red bull slush to make sure I would have the energy to drive home. Chelsea's persona lifted my mood and energy before I even took a sip. That little nice welcome and treating someone like you want to be treated, that is what truly keeps customers...
