First of all, happy Easter to everybody in SAN ANTONIO. The only thing is never stayed in La Quinta. This is the first time for convenience, but like they say you pay, that's what you get stayed here last night came out of town. The rooms were clean for the exception is HOUSE phone didn't work no cord. Well it's understandable nowadays. Everybody has cell phones. Why would they have a house phone? If it doesn't work to call office AC didn't work proper. I should've stayed outside. I wouldn't gotten better air breeze, in the morning I went with my family and we had breakfast. We went at 7 o'clock in the morning and that's what I saw. One employee working front desk, working little small galley area, the galley of the orange juice and different varieties of juices doesn't work water comes out dispenser, leaks, coffee, maker, or electric coffee didn't work, the food area, which is a hot tray of boil, eggs, and link, sausages, and bread and bagels, I noticed clerk didn't even put gloves on just grab the bagel and start putting it inside the bagel box so I think behind closed doors to be honest I bet you 100%. He went back to the galley area of La Quinta and probably grab the boiled eggs with his hands. of course this is closed doors and the link sausages as well. What happened to the good old-fashioned glove where you put them mine for the SAN ANTONIO viewers I wish Brian Wolf would come and doing inspection health inspection and I'll bet you this facility score a 0Y because food handling should always be the topic of using safe serve safe gloves and hairnet. I took photos of Live Oak certificate, HEALTH and other photos on that website check it out for y'all customers that stay here at this hotel overall there's no cockroaches or bedbugs but I would not stay here anymore. It's pretty sad. There's no housekeeping on site. Sincerely have a wonderful day. PS health department should do their job and should wake up early in the morning to come and look to see how employees work because this employee goes back to the cash register and back to the food area not knowing it's called cross contamination with no gloves and but putting everything in his hands it's so sad to save a penny you're not gonna have good customer service

This is almost the worst hotel to spend the night in . This is all in ROOM 126 , they have bed bugs and roaches 🪳 .It is disgusting there is mold and the floors are disgusting like they have not been mopped, swept ,or vacuumed in like a long time . The walls have not been cleaned, they look like they have pee or something spilled on them , the sheets and blankets have holes in them from cigarettes 🚬 .When we first walked in it stunk so bad like cigarette smoke🚬 we had to open the window and the door to air it out the entire day just to make it go away ,we even had to clean the AC filter cause apparently they did not want to do that or clean the room like it's supposed to be cleaned. When we pulled up ,there was a bug exterminator there and we even found roach poison 🪳 behind the toilet 🚽, there are even cracks in the walls . For breakfast there isn't much it's only toast, bagels 🥯, cereal 🥣,and waffles . This hotel is NOTHING like the pictures show. The pool when we got there is disgusting, it had leaves and cats drinking out of it , they have dog poop and cat poop all over the rocks and pretty much everywhere you walk . We couldn't even have food in our hotel cause when we went to eat our leftovers from a restaurant a ROACH 🪳 crawled out of the box and we had to throw away a lot of food which was a waste . The toilet seat was really wobbly and the office chair until we fixed them ourselves. We have spoken to the people at the front desk and they said they can't do anything about it . Which if they kept it clean and sanitary like they are supposed to do, they would not have to deal with all of these bad reviews and people leaving them because of how disgusting they are. It also seemed like a very sketchy place so I would advice don't leave kids unsupervised you never know . There are cats and dogs so they bring fleas . Also don't go if you have allergies to the animals, bugs , dust or mold . Not a very wise decision . If you are ok with staying in something like this then go for it , it's cheap and you get what you paid for but that still does not make it ok for it to be like this .

Good day, My family and I recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Toepperwein. Our stay was not enjoyable. Our first night we were placed in a room (#423) with dirty underwear in the closet. I called the front desk and we were moved to room 419. Both rooms were placed with fleas or gnats. In room 419 our first night there was no hot water at all I call the front desk and was told that was common for families. The next morning at breakfast I told front desk staff again and they said they would tell maintenance. Our second night we had hot water yet we continued to see numerous bugs including roaches (which I have a severe allergy to). I recommend exterminating heavily. Also, upon checking in I asked for a late check out due to us being a family with two autistic children and the gentleman at the front desk assured me that I could be granted a late check out for 12. Well, on the day for us to check out I called to confirm and double check and was told the latest permitted is 11:30. We also received a knock at the door from house keeping telling us to check out or pay for another day. We checked out in time but communication and consistency would have been greatly appreciated. Attached is photo of dirty underwear in closet of room 423 upon arrival.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!! I would never recommend this "Inn" to my worst enemy. It was beyond filthy. To be more specific, you can tell it had not been vacuumed at all in at least several months, the dust was everywhere. It was so excessive and immediately set my allergies off, hot water takes forever to get hot, sinks do not drain well, as an assumption I'm sure it's full of hair. Our TV would not turn up or down or mute, it stayed on one constant volume. We contacted the front desk several times, they said the maintenance man would be up there to fix it, now you need to understand we were there for 4 nights and never saw the maintenance person. The only good thing I can say about this place was the front desk personnel were nice and our AC actually blew cold air, but 4 of our neighbors ac's were completely out. We only had thin sheets with which appeared to be a thin dubay as a cover. Went downstairs to ask for blankets, they said they had none so my husband covered me up with towels, this is totally unacceptable as well. We were in a corner room which the lady said was secluded and she thought we would love it and would be very nice and we would be very happy with the room, but it was absolutely miserable. They had two double doors in between our rooms which people slammed. It wasn't really their fault, the hotel doors where too tightly hinged so they slammed every time someone went in and out. My husband tried to fix it but needless to say, he did not have a screwdriver so he stood outside from 1:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the morning while people were going in and out so that I could sleep. He asked everyone that came through if they could please quietly close the doors because we heard every bang that the doors made. If you stay there and they tell you you're in room 202 or a secluded room, do not stay. Actually, don't book there at all. Booking.com does not reflect the true interior of the hotel or in all honestly, I don't know why they call it an inn because it looks exactly like a motel. There has to be practically no insulation left in any room because we heard everything everyone was saying besides us, above us, including, the people walking through the double doors in our "secluded room". Please do not walk on the carpet barefoot, there is no telling what is on there. The tubs are not clean, nor the same area. The air vent in the bathroom was so full of dust there is no possible way we were breathing any type of clean Air. I would rate this hotel as a big fat 0 - zero and I will never stay at this property again. We thought we were getting a great value for close to $600 for four nights and it was not far from any of the attractions we were going to. That was my mistake. I booked it because of the way that booking.com showed the hotel to be high quality but in all actuality it was a nightmare. I am now considering never booking from this site booking.com ever again due to the invalid representations of...

Had an absolutely HORRIBLE encounter with the front desk clerk named Destiny. The first week I stayed there, she was less than helpful. I hoped it was because she was a little busy, but the following week, she became verbally hostile towards me. Upon checking out, she asked my room number and gave me my total. She said nothing else, but continued to work at the computer and I assumed she was finishing up my transaction as I had not received a receipt yet. I stood for several minutes and then told her I needed to get going soon because I needed to get to work. She said, “You need a receipt or something because we’re done.” I told her I had no idea because she did not indicate that to me. Not so much as a “Thank you for staying with us.” She sighed, made a few more clicks on the computer while I smiled awkwardly, then went over to the printer where she pulled out my receipt. She started reading the receipt for several moments (not scanning, no glancing, but actually reading every word of the receipt) and I quietly reminded her again that I needed to go. She rolled her eyes, made a face, and said “Lady, here you go.”

I’m not one to curse at customer service reps. I know they have it hard having worked in that capacity myself. I had been patient and polite up to that point, but when she rolled her eyes and said that, my patience snapped and I reacted. I told her “Your customer service %#&$ sucks.” Then she started screaming at me and told me I was forbidden from coming back to the hotel, that she would call the owner. That’s when I called her a few choice names before heading out the door and getting corporate on the phone.

If it was up to Destiny, this hotel would get a one star review. However, another customer service clerk and the hotel manager were absolutely amazing! Throughout my entire stay, Raj checked me in with kindness and even ran up to my room when there was a minor malfunction with the microwave. Despite being all alone at the desk, he did what he could to fix the situation and even offered to move me to a different room. It was completely unnecessary, but he was so kind to try and make sure that I was as comfortable as could be. When I returned to the hotel the afternoon of my vile encounter with Destiny, he went out of his way to listen and empathize. He even put me in contact with the manager, Vin, who was equally amazing and did everything in his power to make it right. He gave me the impression of being the kind of supervisor who genuinely cares about both his customers and his employees. He knew exactly which clerk I had encountered before I said her name and acknowledged that she’d been letting her personal issues affect her work. There are some managers who wouldn’t know or care about that kind of thing, but he did. He assured me that I would be welcomed back at any time.

Thank you Raj and Vin for making my...

From the moment we walked in it’s been a living nightmare We booked our confirmation online a week in advance. And we walk in to check In and they want to quote us a higher rate ..even showing proof that we have the quote we locked in for our days. The guy working (Gabe)in the front office had us call to verify and have someone call him to give him the information we were already showing him. After that all settled and done with they put us in a room on the fourth floor with a TV that does not work lights that don’t work and no refrigerator and microwave. Mind you I needed that refrigerator and the microwave because I have a one-year-old that needs his necessities. I go down to the office and let them know that there is no microwave and no refrigerator and the light doesn’t work and the TV doesn’t work he said in order for us to get to upgraded room we have to cancel and pay upfront again. I said that was not going to happen and I asked to speak to the general manager in which she replied that he was in a meeting and I couldn’t talk to him. I said I would wait for him to he got out of the meeting. Once I said that he offered to “upgrade” us for free. They give us the other room we have to walk all the way across the hotel only to find out that the room they put us in for the upgrade also didn’t have a microwave or a refrigerator. After going back to the office trying not to loose my cool. He finally got us in a different room for the third time. Upon getting into the room and settled. The coffee maker still had the coffee filter in it so they never clean that the door does not lock properly. There is gum stuck in the shower. I asked for a refund and nothing was given . I would rather pay and have my money at a hotel that would actually take the time to care about clients needs. I will be also filing with the BBB.. this is completely unacceptable. Apart from the while refrigerator issues .. The office manager had told me that I would have to go down to the lobby and get my sons milk when I needed it and the light issue in the first room the office manager said we just have to finagle with the light in order for it to turn on..I also had to go buy my own cleaning supplies to clean my room. As I have my receipts to show . This building needs to be shut down of Better owners. They have little papers that say to leave it in the bed if you want clean sheets for no reason we left them on both the beds and not once were our sheets ever changed. We had to actually strip the bed ourself and have the blankets on the floor in order for them to actually have to work and put...
