Apparently marketing is more important than basic product information. If you are a specialty coffee enthusiast I recommend you know what you want before you show up and save yourself time and frustration.
Went in to buy some whole bean coffee and was looking forward to supporting a veteran owned business. Was initially impressed by the wide selection of roasts.
I became quickly unimpressed when I discovered that none of the coffees had any pertinent information on the bags. No Origin info, no tasting notes, no roast levels, no washing process. Only marketing buzzwords like "tactical kick".
Realizing this I asked the staff for help. None of the three employees could agree on any of the tasting notes (because they apparently change monthly???). They could, however, tell me that one was a "special edition" and another would donate proceeds to a K9 rescue. Eventually they handed me a sheet that had a few of the coffee's tasting notes and roast levels, but still no Origin info.
"It's on the website" I'm told. After spending 5 minutes having to open separate tabs for every single roast they have just to find the bare minimum info, I frustratedly walked out empty handed. I'll be ordering from Local, who are clear and upfront with their taste profiles
This was the most annoying buying process and even though the coffee smelled good I wasn't willing to waste the time to pry basic info on what I was getting.

Read morePopped in here to see how it resembled the online presence. This place is delightful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They give a great vibe.
The space is clean, organized, and comfortable without being a “living room.” There is a couch sitting area with a fireplace and several small tables.
There is merch swag and coffee for home. They also offer an assortment of quick bites. Grabbed a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. The pic doesn’t look like much (I was starving so I jumped in with a lazy pic) but it was really good. Better than most coffee chains I’ve been to. It does seem a little squished like a panini - that is not a dig just a statement. I would order it again. The latte was really good as well as the salted caramel espresso can.
I also really liked that they were very proactive asking if anyone was a veteran or first responder when you order. I love the support for our military and front line home warriors.

Read moreJust moved to the Live Oak area and saw some good reviews about this coffee shop.
They had a single girl ringing in orders and making the beverages. She was great! Wish she had more help. Not fair to her!
She mentiones the steamer was down No biggie.
The place is clean and has a welcoming environment.
I tried the Liberty Bell which satisfied my sweet latte craving.
I will be back!! Thank you!!
Can yall stop asking if I want to tip the staff? Everything I purchase in this world asks for a tip. If your receiving a tipped wage I will tip or if someone goes above and beyond that warrants a tip.
I am already paying $7.50 for a large iced specialty coffee and then you ask me if I want to tip more. How much money do yall want?...
